Making Wooden Adjustable Parallels
มุมมอง 1.8K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Adjustable Parallels are usually used by machinists, but I've found several uses for them in a woodworking shop. I demonstrated these uses near the end of the video. I hope you enjoyed!
Impractically Complicated Scissor Vise
มุมมอง 1.3K4 ปีที่แล้ว
A scissor vise! I made this vise because I hadn't seen it before and was curious to see how it would work out. I would not recommend making this vise, as there are far simpler designs that work just as well or even better and that are far less involved to make. I've strayed off the beaten path on this one just to see what was down it, which is a pretty poor criteria upon which to make a design ...
Zero-Slack Sanding Block
มุมมอง 4.4K4 ปีที่แล้ว
This is a sanding block I made. The idea was the having a sanding block that pulls the sandpaper tight across the bottom. This prevents it from bunching up and also allows for different geometries to be attached to the sole of the sanding block. Also, here's the riddle: A man walks into a store with 50 dollars cash and no other forms of currency (no receipts, cards or expensive items). He leave...
Building a Better Bandsaw Stand
มุมมอง 8824 ปีที่แล้ว
This project took more than a month, but I'm happy with how it turned out. You'll notice that on this stand I put the drawers on the side, as opposed to their more natural position facing the operator. This was to take advantage of my particular shop layout, but the stand would work just as well if the bandsaw were 90 degrees rotated. I will post formal plans for this stand in the coming days!

What an absolutely fantastic video. There are a lot of big channel out there that can't do such a detailed and well put together presentation, thanks for taking the time and effort. I hope you're doing well, Heppy New Year, take care!
Lovely job, well done 🐕
Lindo o seu cachorro, é uma obra de arte, parabéns pelo seu talento. 😊

I am so sorry for your loss, our beloved pets are a part of our family. Never forgotten and always in our hearts. And you done an amazing job carving and creating such a fantastic tribute to Megan. Well done and please keep creating.
sorry for your loss!
👌👌👌👌 Здорово.
You could use a softer wood and it would be a lot easier to accomplish the end goal
Thomas, did you make a full set of drawers to test out your concept? If so, please post the outcome. If not, please take the time to truly test out your design. You have a future in design engineering.
WOW. What a beautiful tribute to Megan. You are a master!
Excellent post, no music or any bothersome stuff!
Thats not hard! Try carving a block of wood out of a dog!
Конечно раньше вырезали одним ножом.но согласитесь большая половина человечества пользуются современной технологией.и притом даже так не умеют.молодец руки не из жопы растут.
Beautiful work... Definitely needed this inspiration. Rest in peace puppy... I lost one of mine yesterday ❤
He sure nose how to make a.... nose..
That wood is dog wood now...
Love it I lost my little back in 2020 had her for 14 year's. Never had a dog that long gave her a special spot under the lemon tree. Made a white picket fence and a marker never thought about carving out a figure to look like her. That may be my next wood project/metal. Oh I bet when I'm doing a wood project one slip and if the wood cracks or chips miss cut have to start all over again. Or I'll make the same project a few time's until I get it right.
That's a lot of time and work for mediocre results.
Perfect!
Well done fella. Superb job, she is proud of you. Keep it up 🏴💥
this is amazing!
200 to 300 hours in total? That's insane
1 day max would be done , and would have made In 1 piece only!
Awesome job on the dog! 🪵 🐕
Sorry for your lost…beautiful job!!
Слишком трудозатратно.
Very nice impressive work
Big thank you Thomas, that's exactly what I'm looking for.
Well done.
One could argue that you carved a wood out of dog
This is the most beautiful way of paying tribute to Megan
If you have any fur from her drill a hole in the base put the fur in it and seal it up.
Breaks my heart losing a loved one. She was such a pretty girl.
Winner for most disturbing thumbnail..
👍❤
23 of february 2022 - did ruzzians kill your dog?
How did the dog get stuck in the wood in the first place?
🐕😢❤
So much personality in this wonderful little carving!
As a wood carver I know how much works goes into carving out of hardwood. I am so touched by your tribute to your beloved dog Megan…..WOW! ❤
It’s beautiful my friend
Poor dog has been trapped in that wood for decades, and thanks to you, he has finally been set free.
Very good job ❤❤❤
Simply beautiful and your too hard on yourself this piece of wood is beautiful and watching you make it make me wish I could make something so beautiful to remember my pet and I had a bird. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful piece of work and story. Sorry for your lose but you have a beautiful memory of a beautiful dog and art. Take care😊
Your work inspires me a lot.
Great video and great craftmanship. You immortalized Megan forever ❤
Muy bien trajo.. felicitaciones.
I am so sorry for your loss. This is an awesome tribute to a dog you so obviously loved so well. The techniques you used are so unique creative and well executed! I am impressed!
Good job! John Heinz has a video on full extension wooden drawer slides. You should watch it. He uses a stop mid length to achieve the full length slide. That would also work on your design. The ball bearings in conjunction with a stop such as John uses would be worth investigating. Again…Good Work!
