Stayed in this exact room in 2022. Nice resort but the walk to the lobby....

We are dvc members and Riviera is our home. We love it there!! I needed a reminder of the layout so thanks for the vid. We never get preferred view because points are higher. We have seen Epcot fireworks with a standard view. I think the preferred view is poolside. I wouldn't suggest paying extra for preferred :) IMHO

beach is my fave, but at 1/4 price, swan is our first choice. plus swolfin has the best restaurants on property. all of those restaurants are great. bluezoo, il mulino, amare, kimonos, shula's...so great. fuel is the best quickserve of any of the resorts. where else do you get fro-yo and an ice cream bar? five pools...friendship service to both EPCOT and DHS, or it's a 10-15 minute walk to either one... i think swan boats are included in your resort fee.

I think the larger than life theming at the all stars is why kids love it so much. We've always stayed at the music or movies for nostalgic reasons and also because we really weren't in the rooms or enjoyed the pools to justify price for deluxe or moderate resorts. This is when the kids were smaller. We have a son who is 22, a daughter that is 17, and our 4 year old. With that said, the hubs and I will be staying at Saratoga Springs on rented points and plan on having a slow paced trip. Since we've been going for about 11 years now. We'll see if our little one will enjoy it and possibly buy DVC if we enjoy this trip coming up. By the way, the guisado looked delicious. Never really ate at the food courts either. I think we ordered a pizza for room service twice but that's about it. I'm not sure they offer room service anymore? hmmm, can't remember. Anyways, I'm rambling now. lol A big hello to Keri!
