NAGOYA GRAMPUS: Why don't other J.LEAGUE teams do this? 名古屋グランパス
Due to our shared love of both Gary Lineker and Arsene Wenger, watching Nagoya Grampus had been on our bucket list for a long time, so finally getting the time to trek down there and see them play was great.
The temperature, however, was not. It was pushing 40 degrees and it was blazing hot all day, making this #jleague journey a bit of a struggle. Luckily, however, the beers were plentiful, and kickoff was in the evening, which helped a bit.
The mobile order food system was excellent (and something that should be incorporated all across the J.League), and the stadium is a banger. But the distance from Nagoya station to the stadium? Not sure about that one...we needed multiple trains and a taxi!
Overall though, a great day out and another team checked off the list. Let us know in the comments if you agree with the ranking!

Classic J-League Jorueny vibes with this one. Stadium looked class shame it's in the arse end of nowhere. Also Shame Verdy didn't get something from this fixture been going gangbusters the since they lost this one.
Brilliant stadium, especially as it was packed out. Would have loved to have been behind the goal in the fan zone as I’m sure that must have been pretty wild. And yes, Verdy pushing for a strong finish now. Maybe this is what spurred them on eh!

Never been in Japan in my life, but as a Grampus fan since 2016, it's great to see those videos about Toyota Stadium. Regarding the location, Grampus stopped to play in Mizuho because the stadium has been closed and being renovated for the Asian 2026 Games. Although Grampus always alternated between Mizuho and Toyota (basically, Grampus have two homes) so i expect Grampus returning to the new Mizuho when is ready. PD: nice retro Grampus hat and jacket!

I just got into Japanese football and this channel was WAY to hard for me to find, keep this up, not enough english youtubers are talking about these leagues atm you should do a in depth on all japanese clubs or even a vid explaining the japanese football, their pyramid and culture for people just getting into it

1. Congrats on Breaking 3k guys. Glad you guys were rooting for the green half of Toyko this is my bucket list J-League fixture really hope I can attend the Derby in the future. This was a wild game and at this point in the season it felt like Verdy couldn't get out of their own way in the final 10 mins of every game. However things picked up and sitting on 35 points (as I write this) I am hopeful Verdy can stay up and consolidate their position next year.

Thanks for tue comment! If you’re in Japan already you can buy tickets at the terminals in the convenience stores up to one week before for the game (or at the stadium on match day if they aren’t sold out). Alternatively you can buy on the j league website if you have everything set up here. Easiest might be the convenience store, as the staff can always help you if you get stuck!
