Sounds nothing like a v8!

I run a flowmasater super 10 dumped under my 96 jimmy with a 4.3l v6 and it sounds like a v8 at any rpm under 2k XD

Is that with the cat still on to?

Why would anyone want to make a V6 sound like a V8? I can't understand why anyone would want an engine to sound like another type of engine. In my day having a split exhaust manifold on on an inline six was cool.A V6 sounds similar. A split system on a V8 sounded good. Now they take the great throb of the V8 away with equal length pipes into 1 one collector and the throbb is gone. The sweet buzz of the V6 takes a lot of beating in my book!

I know this is a old ass post but anyone got a rough estimate on the cost for this exhaust build? 😅👀

A 90s 4.3 with original 40 series flowmasters sounds like a 350. Cuz it's a 350 with 2 cylinders chopped off, now the new 4.3 idk if it's a modern version of the old 4.3 or a 5.3/6.0 with 2 cylinders cut off

It sounds like a V8 now, but when you hold it at full throttle up the road, the 4.3 sound will start to show. The truck sounds good though. 🙂

It's a 4.3 lol. It's so close to the same motor that's cheating. Lmfao. Now do it for Any of the 3 litre GM motors. Any of them From the 3100 all the way up to the 3900 😅... new, old, doesn't matter...

It sounds awesome and I don't think it sounds like a V8 just a very throaty and mean sounding V6 I love both V8's and 6's and always thought that V6's sound more race like. Nice job tho cool video.

To my son in law Dillon: Only sounds like an 8 at idle. As soon as you crack the throttle it tells on itself right away with that high pitch cry. Just pony up the extra for the v8, it will never sound the like dads 5.0 missing 2 slugs LoL

Doesn't sound like a v8, but flowmasters are the only mufflers that can make a 4.3 sound good
