This is so awesome to watch. Thank you for sharing this build. Its an oldschool bike upgraded! I had this same frame but it was stolen from me a long time ago. Its nice to see these bikes are still around and appreciated so well.
Wow! What a great rebuild! All the attention to detail; components so thoughtfully selected and put together! Makes me want to go out to the garage and give my era-correct, silver RTS2 more of my attention. Great job, Toshi.
I have an 95 RTS-3 that really needs to be rebuilt. Great bike back in the day, and still is today. I have that same kit to mount a caliper on the frame. Great work.
what a problem?this is the old frame geometry...the new long travel suspension fork is changed the headtube and seattube angle!!!!!!this is way to the headtube and downtube and seatpost&seattube cracked!!!!
I love the fact that you went full “restomod” new parts on and old frame. Would love to know how it rides now? Great soothing video! Thanks. Long live GT bikes!
I'm glad that younger generations can appreciate the design of the bike. I love your video, you did a great job putting it all together. I just bought my Polished Aluminum 1992 RTS and am about to do the same. This was my dream bike back in the early 90's but as a kid I couldn't afford it. Post more videos of the use you are giving to it.
I still have my 1995 GT RTS-3 in immaculate condition...I should do the same rebuild... Awesome video! Do you have a parts list...esp...for the rear caliper and adapter?
hello I would like to know which piece you have mounted in the frame on the left behind to keep the rear disc brake fixed, so I can also mount it on my gt that I'm modifying it, please let me know where you acquired it, so I can buy it, if give me the information I would be grateful !!
I still have my 1993 GT RTS-1 and seeing this RTS being built is awesome!! Thank you for the video. I love my RTS. Im sure you are having fun riding yours. Subscribed.
to shi yes I will create a new better one soon. Great work you do to build the bike. I have replaced fork and handlebars, seat , tires on mine. Using Vbrakes I see you have disc brakes ! :). Can I see new videos of your disc brakes setup? It’s first time I have seen this for our classic bikes. Very very nice!!

Nice ensemble; I will pick several ideas for my zaskar!

Dude! How did you solve mounting a caliper on the tail?
Taking a long shot. Does anyone know where to find a repair manual for a NR3 GT RTS PIGGY BACK REAR SHOCK? You are my last hope
What color is that frame ?
What kind of disc brake adapter for the rear , and.what wheel size is it? Very nice retrofitting. Ty
I start to rebuild a rts 1 today. How much mm have the fork? 100mm or 80mm? If is a 100mm or more, how drive it? Thx for the answer. Good job.
Gracias por el video... Yo estoy vendienfo por Mercadolibre de Argentina...

excellent restoration of a great classic bike! Makes me want to get my RTS2 out of the rafters and back on the trail!
Nice bike.
Any idea on weight
What size are the wheels?
It broke my heart get to see such amount of attention to details and.... unmatched rims side graphic band with tires graphic side band.

How did you fit a rear disc bake?...as the RTS didn't have disc mountings.
this will give me a good idea on how to do my LTS
can you share the link for the rear disc brake adapter? I'm pretty sure many people will thank you

I wish I would have bought this back in 1993. I opted for a GT Backwoods which I still have with the Rock Shox Mag 21 front sus fork

Do you have a full component list anywhere? This video is incredible. I’m currently stripping down my RTS2 and considering something like this?
What disc brake adaptor did you use?
what rear disc brake converter did you use
Tenth sub here. Great job dude. Keep it up.
Nice man! I have a 1995 GT Xterra I want to rebuild

Me too
It is 2019 and I still have my GT RTS2 silver color and it still rides like a dream with only a fork, chain and a carbon fiber handlebar upgrade.
Hey, your RTS is a Dream! How is the Ride of the bike? And whats the travel length of your Front fork?
Very nice bike
That bike is sick
I just love the way you shot this. No talking just sounds of work, soothing music and awesome closeups with differing angles. You have talent.
Great RTS ¡¡¡¡, I also upgrade my GT RTS is a Dream :)
Thank you for watched my video! Have you GT RTS? I would like to see yours.
