Again some clips of the Ilur Classique sailing dinghy 275 - shot around Langweer (Netherlands). Featuring my over 80-year-old parents!

First time camping aboard! Some footage of a lovely weekend in Friesland with my Ilur 'Nomvula'. This time I borrowed an electric outboard because I was on my own and had to pass some heavy water traffic bridges. Last week my new boat was ready to take her out for her maiden sail. And what a joy! It's an Ilur, a French design by Francois Vivier. How much do these boats cost? It's a beautiful boat!
That depends on whether you buy a new one (€20k-25k) or a used one (5k-8k). Very rough estimates! Making it yourself is always the best, because the building process is as nice as the eventual sailing...

Thanks! Yes, it certainly has a centreboard.... but the case is quite low.

Hello, I will buy an Vivier Ilur , it is not sloop but classic one sail . Do you thin it is possible to adapt the « front sail » ( sorry I don’t know the English words for bout dehors , voile , foc …)
It is possible, but you have to adapt the mast step and frond deck, because a jib requires the mast to be in a more upright position and more aft than just a misanier sail. See the drawings in Vivier’s plans. www.vivierboats.com/wp-content/uploads/bsk-pdf-manager/37_ILUR-FR.PDF

However it looks to me like a Gaff rig... / Gunter rig type of thing? I'm probably wrong; but curious. Thanks again for the excellent very enjoyable video.
Thanks! Yes it is a lug sloop rig, meaning here that is has a mainsail and a jib. The classic Ilur rig just has a mainsail. The mainsail is a balanced lug.
