Final 2024 WDCR Rallycross race at Summit Point 11/3/24
We had great weather for the final event of the season, and we ran on the "tree" course at Summit Point. I started off fast, with more than a 2 second lead on my first run and never looked back, finishing in first with an 8 second lead over second. This marked my 5th win of the season, and my 5th MR championship!
Unfortunately it seems like my mic died, so I didn't record any audio :(

I took my Miata to autocross with the DC region of the PCA at Summit Point on 10/12/24. Despite not having auto-x appropriate tires, I still had a blast throwing the car around. I was lucky enough to be able to finish the day in a K24 swapped Miata and had a blast in it!

I took home another win, but with most of the regular drivers missing it doesn't feel as special as it usually does. My Accelera RA 162 tires did great even in these loose conditions, thanks Tire Streets!

Click no start SOLVED! Ignition slop fixed
มุมมอง 1105 หลายเดือนก่อน
Is your car more than 20 years old? You may have slop in your ignition preventing your ignition switch from working properly. I found that my ignition switch worked perfectly by itself, but had problems when connected to the key cylinder. Turns out after almost 30 years the key cylinder had started to wear out, which prevented it from fully engaging the ignition switch. With a couple shims, my ...

Racing in the rain at Summit Point and beating AWD cars
มุมมอง 130ปีที่แล้ว
This was the 5/13/23 Trackcross at Summit Point on the Jefferson Circuit. Question: When is an I30 faster than a GR Corolla, Audi RS3, and Subaru WRX STI? Answer: When it's raining :) In the afternoon when all cars ran in the same wet conditions, my Infiniti I30 was the 3rd fastest 2WD car at the event, behind a new 911 GTS and a Cayman S, and beating many AWD cars in the process. Not bad for a...
How to fix a loose rear view mirror on your BMW E36 3 series

My rear view mirror was rattling and vibrating and it was driving me crazy. Fixing it took only a few minutes and required no special tools. I hope this video can help you fix yours! There's a pretty good chance this also applies to other BMWs, like E34s, E39s, and E46s.
Tips on replacing the starter in the BMW E36 3 series

These tips should apply to any 6 cylinder E36, including 325, 328, and M3. I believe things are a little different for the 4 cylinder cars. I go over what tools you will need to complete this job and discuss the two different methods you can use to remove the starter. This was not a fun job, and it pays to be prepared before you begin.

Bro don't need to remove the wiper arm just switch on as it moves to clear the then stop it😂
This thing still sounds incredible.
Thanks, I made the 3" exhaust myself :D
I just took my nb 2001 miata to the dealer repair and they don't me I needed new bushings and a new plate. Do you have any idea what they could be talking about in terms of the plate? @95maxrider
Hi, I'm not aware of any plate involved with the automatic shifter. What are your symptoms?
@@95maxrider1 thank you for responding, I spent all night searching the internet for my answer, and I think they may be talking about the flexplate or the flywheel. Sounds expensive either way.
this guy is cool
Ouch, I'd say it definitely improved but I don't think they should be this slow.
Chuck stefanski Uncle ron
thank you for the help with that awsome ground relocation, i was wondering what it was on mine
You're welcome, glad it helped!
My wipers are slow, not nearly as slow as yours were, But I do have a question for any help with mine. My wipers move okay on the first setting, they stop completely on the second setting, and they move decently quick on the last setting. Does anyone know why the middle setting just quit? could it be the connections? Or do you think the wiring is caput for that setting only? It's hard to be to try to find a new motor, but If I have to buy a new one, I will pay the big price, but I wanted to see if anyone had any ideas. So far, from anywhere I've asked, no one has had an idea yet.
If I had to guess I suspect the wiper stalk is bad and not the motor. The motor still works at the other settings, so it's not broken.
I reckon your problem is with the tiny teeth on the base of the mounting points for the wiper arms, these tend to wear out over time. Replace these and that should solve your issue
Thanks great video!
it feels like im hearing a little turbo flutter sometimes
No turbo here, just a few bolt ons
@@95maxrider1no i understand that :D but something is making that sound and it caught me off guard
only 90 views but i cant tell you how much this helped me because i could not find any pictures online regarding that black tab(i was looking at the garage guide and no pics)
Yeah, I was in the same boat as you, so when I figured it out I decided I should make a little video about it. I'm glad you found it helpful!
Hey man, I wanted to ask if your the one who installed the headlight headlamp thingy (whatever you call it) yourself, cause if so I want to know how you install them.
Yes, I installed some projectors in the Cefiro headlights. If you Google 'how to retrofit projects' you should get plenty of guides. I get my parts from The Retrofit Source.
Nice work, I thought mine where slow but after watching yours mine aren't nearly that bad! Still plan to do something. Thanks for the video.
You're welcome!

Thank for making the video! Will get this project done this weekend
Nice, you're gonna love how much better it feels.
Nice driving - I had moderate to heavy rain for almost all of my novice runs (#248). Had a blast! Are you coming back for the 7/22 race?
Thanks! Yup, I'll be there in July.

I hope you do more miata automatic diy videos. so many haters out their on the automatics & no diy videos. I just bought a 1999 1.6 for my daughter to learn on and I just wanna know where to find the transmission dipstick so I can check the fluid is it under the car? Thank you.
Unfortunately I sold my automatic Miata, but I still have a manual one. If I had to guess, the dipstick for the auto trans is probably right up against the firewall and probably a little lower than the dipstick for the engine oil.
@@95maxrider1 ok awesome thank you so much 😊 I really really appreciate you responding to my comment.
great video - lots of good info
Thanks!
I have a 96 Infiniti i30 and i need to know where i can find aftermarket headlight assembly
Do a search for Cefiro headlights, you can probably still find some on eBay.
You have run with the windows open?
Unfortunately, that's the rule with this organization, gotta run with the driver's window down. I really don't understand the reasoning behind it.
Very informative. Thank you for taking your time to make this vid
You're welcome, I'm glad it was helpful.
I had the Altima 5sp W/ OEM strut bar. Smoother ride than a civic but still handled well
just bought my nb, auto, shifter is super sloppy this is such a big help i appreciate it
Thanks, good luck!
I'm susprised this video doesn't have more likes. Truly life changing.
Haha thanks, yeah disabling the buzzer makes such a huge difference.
Very cool. Anyone verified these for the NA?
Im late but i did it on a 1990, bushings are the same but the ‘rod’ is not exactly the same, you should still able to do it if you follow the video tho !
Thanks for making this video! Where did you purchase the bushings?
They're pretty widely available online, just do a search for the part number and take your pick of vendor. If all else fails, there's always the dealership.
Hey man, I just purchased a 99 i30t and had a couple questions for you, is there anyway I can get in contact with you? I actually tracked you down from some random forum thread, would love to get in touch with you
Feel free to PM me on the forum, or you can ask questions here and I'll do my best to answer.
Well for one, out of curiosity, where’s you get your front lip from?
@@crimsonchills7463 I've got the good old GDL, or garage door lip, which is literally just a foam strip used to help garage doors seal.
Amazing video! Definitely going to watch again and try mine out in the future!!
Thanks! Let me know how it goes.
What track is this?
I wouldn't call it a track really, it's the Ross County Fairgrounds in Chillicothe, OH.
Just joined the scca for Pittsburgh area
Awesome, welcome aboard!
Nice video! I have done a few autocross events and was curious what rallycross looked like, well done
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it! RallyCross is a lot of fun, and at least in the DC region we get a LOT more seat time than we would at an autocross event. Come on out!
Are you new to the sport. I'm just trying get away from the street racing scene I'm tired. But driving I feel free. I don't know but 7k rpm in that encor in 6th going 135 because of the limiter. Something slows the world down like slow motion I can see everything clearly they and only then. Driving is more addictive then cocaine.
Hey Joe, I've been rallycrossing for about a decade now, you should come out and try an event, you'll have a blast!
I'm building a 2015 buick encore, k20 swap. To run in MF class.
You might want to check the rules to make sure that car is allowed, it may be too tall. Tall cars pose rollover risks, and are generally not permitted. It would be a shame to do all the prep work only to find the car isn't allowed.
I got the same problem, any solutions?
I got a used wiper stalk from the junkyard a while ago but never got around to installing it. I've just kind of learned to live with it unfortunately.
Your intro is fkn awesome 🤣
Thanks man, just having some fun :)
Cool videos sounds good haha
Thanks, rally-x is a ton of fun!
This was a WTFO run can’t believe ya ant got more views. I’m new to RallyCross any tips pros cons?
Thanks! A good skid plate to protect your oil pan is a must, and don't run a vehicle that has been lowered. You will need all the suspension travel you can get. Don't focus on adding power to your vehicle, good tires and proper maintenance are far more important. You can't win if you don't make it through the event!
😁👍
She sounds good! I was there too and posted some TH-cams on it. I was car #14 SF (2014 Ford Fiesta SE, silver)
Lol @ "3 2 1 go"
this has to get boring at some point...no?
After about an hour of it it was slightly less fun than when I started, but I was still having a blast. The challenge was trying to do it in a higher gear and hold it for as many laps as possible. For my car it's real easy in 2nd gear and harder in 3rd. With varying grip levels on the course it's not as easy as it may look and takes quite a bit of throttle modulation and steering correction. I would definitely do it again!
She sound good and looks pretty peppy!
Thanks, lots of HP (relatively speaking) will do that!
@@95maxrider1 are you in the BMW that blew out the transmission or rear end 2 races ago?
Come on folks if you watch it, give them a thumbs up!! Looks like a good time, i really like the elevation changes.. they dont really have that at Summit Point
Thanks man, I appreciate it! Yeah the elevation changes at PTC make it so much more fun.
@@95maxrider1 I agree!
Sounds like the aftermarket steering wheel adapter
Those things are usually a one-piece design and just slide onto the splines on the steering shaft, not sure how that would make a noise like that. Either way, this car died years ago, so the point is kind of moot.
Nice runs, what class were you running in?
I run in Mod Rear
@@95maxrider1 got ya.. I'm running in stock front. 3rd over all this year by the looks of it. I missed 2 races. So no points for those 2 days
where do u push and pull to test like that?
Go with aluminum or brass.
Congratulations!
Go to 1aauto parts good price on lca unless you want to replace just the bushing .
