Here's the most likely reason WHY you are... ➡️ getting more playing time ➡️ making the top team ➡️ having successful tryouts ➡️ playing the position you want to play The list goes on and on. Keep in mind you can and SHOULD only focus on what YOU can control. Be Undeniable and you will get in the position you want to be.

Ideal Body Position at The Moment of Contact
Since everyone and their mother hits angle from the left side, how about you post a video on how to turn it down the sideline? Why do you want to take an angle or cut shot on the left, when 1. the block is blocking your angle and sharp angle shots and 2. the block usually leaves about two feet of space between it and the antenna? 3. Left side approaches should be straight in. Not outside in, parallel to the net. Lastly, most cut shots like you're showing, aren't going to be full speed power shots and the opposing team's left side defender can easily pick those up, if they aren't out of position.
@@MichaelPullins-h8z having a variety of shots in your arsenal is a good thing. Hitting line is a must as well. I think there's too many different things that can be happening in a game for you to assume that the block is always blocking cross or that going cross is an ineffective shot (I've seen it work many many times) Last thing: did you go through ALL my content and see i haven't posted a video on how to hit line? Or are you assuming?
@@volleyball.university OOF. I thought I had responded to this. As for your line shot video, I did glance on the main page but didn't see one. If you have one, post the link/title. I'd like to go watch it. I don't assume anything. I have been playing since 1992, as a setter. I grew up watching Kiraly, Stork, Ctvrtlik and Timmons play. Timmons' right side line shots were near unstoppable. I understand the aspects of hitting outside as well, especially the right side, as I've played outdoor 2 and 4 man sand. As for what the blocker is doing, cross or line, that is for the hitter to determine and will determine if they have any sort of vision whatsoever. I can see the block and their hands when I am hitting, as well as I can see the ball. Oh and if the blocker is dumb enough to block line, then the hitter can cut angle or what is more impressive, INTENTIONALLY tool the block. I can say that I've seen many times (even from DeFalco, Russel and Mugatuittia from the USMNT) inexplicably take that outside in, parallel to the net approach, and take an angle swing into a double block, blocking angle, and get blocked, when they had 3 feet of open line to turn. Too many volleyball players nowadays want to play like Michael Jordan when they should be playing more like Larry Bird. Jordan might make you look slow, but Bird would make you look stupid. Here is an example from the right side, where a line shot would have resulted most likely in a kill for the hitter instead of getting blocked with one hand....embarrassing. th-cam.com/users/shortsHMCaeFyauQc
I liked your tutorial on "how to add topspin to a standing serve". I'd appreciate if you made a video on how to do a standing top side spin. It would help alot of newer players.
Thank you!! Will be using these in my games!!
@@McKenna-wj7ol nice! Let me know how it goes!
Also. Getting to max power through a 3/2 step approach is not necessary everytime. Smart and strategic hits like these are equally powerful.
@@ravindrasahaisaxena agreed! You should be able to do it all to be a more versatile hitter

It seems back right (to the server) would be good. The back corner forces the returner to move to their left. Generally, players (most are RH) are not as competent returning balls where they are moving to their left or a ball to the left of their body. Thought? Ty

How do you predict to split step once the hitter contacts the ball in fast serves?
@@shem15418 do the split step as the ball is being contacted
Gonna try it on my next game. I tried to do float serve everytime but only 30% success rate. Thats why im here 😂
Is that net is too low
@@DishanNag-yn1ut I don't think net height has much to do with the skill being shown here

Thank you so much bro
how do you know if you should be playing perimeter or rotational?
I've noticed that when I use my arm swing my wrists are really loose is that bad??
To initiate your right handed swing, are you supposed to pop/push forward your right hip? The better at beach volleyball guys mention that but I don't see that executed here. Is it enough to have loaded with the shoulder/hip separation and simply rotate at the torso?
@@alexsul yes! Use the hip on the side of your hitting arm to initiate the movement
1. catch release 2. finger, elbow, and wrist cocked, then extend, primarily first 2 finger and thumb
Please tell me once things which I m not understand , first service from opponent , can recieve with one hand ? Serve received?
Excuse me, it confuses me every time, I watch a bunch of videos and drills and can’t quite get the hang of it. I don’t know whats the motion, especially when it comes to when you jump. So in this case can you show me a step by step list or video about how you do it, or a full breakdown it will be a blessing.
how to do it without destroying my shoulder? i am a left handed opposite, and my shoulder hurts a lot
This might also be the reason why my serves arent getting power to cross the net thank you for this video!
So nobody is mentioning the guy in thd background debating what to do 😂😂
Anytime you do a review and then put a code to purchase them.....not really unbiased now are we?
if i hit the top part of the ball dosent it mean it goes down?
@@edwardsemjonov8420 Most times yes. Unless you hit the top of the ball at an upwards angle. Then the ball goes up and has topspin
Thank you! Struggling whit jump set, hopefully your videos will help.
Hey there, I'm preparing for my school's volleyball team and I really want to be a setter. However, I don't know the basic form and stuff and whenever my friend passes to me, it usually goes to low. I was wondering if you knew any drills, tips, or techniques that will help me improve? Preferably individual and sorry if you already made a video on it : ) Thank you
Huh. I literally only ever heard of this a couple of days ago, and I've been doing it this whole time unconsciously. That's incredible. I guess that's how natural and efficient the movement is
Yup! Honestly, most Athletes will do this naturally. Some need a bit more guidance on how to incorporate it
Been playing im running shoes for the last 4 or 5 years and absolutely love it
But you dont have grip though? Dont you hate it ?
@@jadenladen3535 I've never had any issues with grip with running shoes
Do you know if the Giannis Imortality Shoes are good?
Yes, I've heard good things
Most popular line of basketball shoes in my vb community by far id say
I play in the Giannis Immortality force fields. Better than way of Waydes by a mile.
I need to fly the ball with spin to the right side or left side
Uhhh no. The team won’t ever be shite if they treat their teammates poorly. That’s on you, coach. Teammates may bring the intensity but they can also be the worst - it’s always on the coach to set the tone
I've been coaching for a long time and although the coach is responsible for setting the culture, that alone cannot stop everyone from being a negative teammate. You can't change people that easily
God is good thank you for this video
First want to say thank you for the awesome video. You said it's important to focus on one component each time. When doing one component of the serve, should you do a lot before moving onto the next component?
Sure thing! And not necessarily. You can work on multiple at the same time while just focusing on one cue for each practice session
What program are you using?
thanks ❤❤❤
No problem!
Thank you. That was great.
Sure thing!
Thanks a lot i want to be able to have more options while on the court if im going to be outside hitter
Happy to help!
topspin serve not working
what ball are you using?
That's a molten volleyball
can you tell us/me how to fix that problem i often throw it too far back or to the side, btw im left handed
There's a drill called the wall toss drill that can help with this! It should be on my channel
