However, i would like to beg you to differ in some aspects like do you know there are various types of love- Like the main and common one in Greek: Agape (the unconditional and very principled love), Eros(passionate love among opposite sexes), Storgy (strong bond of love among family members) and Philia (deep friendship love)...yes i agree God shows us the unconditional love-agape even before we obeyed and love him first...that is really true...However, please be kindly reminded that though we can not fully expressed the agape love as God does, there is many possibilities that we could somehow exhibit this type of love by embedding it within other types of love including erotic love (the husband and the wife r/ship)...Let me give you very excellent example in this regard, yes in erotic love give and take rule mostly holds true---under normal condition. But, there are cases sometimes one of the parties may experience abnormalities and/or infirmity in any kind(bit physically, mentally, socially and psychologically), in this case the other love partner (the healthier one) are expected to break that rule and shows the unreserved agape love-the God's like love-the unconditional love to the illed one; otherwise, other charity organization(s) or anyone else could fulfill this (the healthier partner could miss this wealthiest opportunity and privilege to do so it)...that is humanic!!!...don't you be perhaps heard some partners could donate their precious organ to the other partner to save him/her?? this agape-the unconditional love! On the other hand, yes i agree with you that there are currently very common cases either of the party fails to meet the give and take rule even without any infirmity and/or limitations, in this case the other party should not be obligated to continue with this kind of r/ship as this is not mannish or womanish rather boyish or girlish even childish as you said. In the nut shell, the unconditional love-agape is embedded in all other types of love in a reserved manner from mankind perspective but from God's perspective, it is very limitless!!!Otherwise, i am afraid the prejudiced, biased and even misleading conclusion and generalization!!!
