Be gentle with this. Reproducing a headache is normal and okay to do but do not torture yourself or nauseate yourself with pain. Had to upload here because of length so I figured may as well make it public incase any of you have a headache!

Tingling in your pinky/ring finger? Weak grip?
มุมมอง 1.4K3 ปีที่แล้ว
If you have tingling in the fingers, be sure to have a healthcare provider address your low cervical, the entire pathway of C8 / ulnar nerve, and work the entire chain. Everything is connected! I often see this treated surgically, trying to just release the ulnar nerve at one point, then let it heal in a sling for 6 weeks. This is not how we treat nerves successfully conservatively. The concept...

Thank you, I have been dealing with this for three months 😅 I'm looking forward to having decreased pain Thank you for sharing
5 years ago I managed to separate my ac joint grade 3 level 5. Things were fine at first but now my shoulder keeps shifting lower and lower my arm is always swelled, my fingers go numb and cold, and my whole scapula area is so full of inflammation. What are my options, and where do I find a good doctor?
I can feel your pain dear please go for Diagnosed for MRI first if the problem is grade 3 or above than have surgery.
Hey im 14 years old and accidently i have grade 3 doctor setted a temporary plaster does i need a surgery?? I'm very tensed pls tell me
Can a chiropractor fix this. And can this cause scapular winging
a lot of this could be upper cervical instability. your atlas is probably out
Who the fk wants that ugly bump on his shoulder for ever ?? Nasty Grade 3 gets operated on, as i did. Rehab is same almost and it gets properly treated. Cosmetically and medically. If you have the money do the operation.
Whats the software?
10 years in sugery soon help me good
"see what your body can do" 🤣 im hopin its ready! i think i had a stage 3 maybe stage 2 ac separation.. 20mph thrown off an e-scooter, landed on my shoulder. but im like 4 days out from the injury, and already back on an even bigger scooter lol. after 20+ videos, i dont think i need surgery. luckily
Oh man, good luck!! Go see a good PT and get some WORKKK put in. Worth it!
Great video
I’ve just discovered after 3 years of Trigeminal electrocution pains in my face to all three branches that my occipital nerve is trapped at this point and has been referring pain to my face. I was getting over a hundred or more shocks a day. Finally someone looked at my Occipital nerve and I’ve had a nerve block which stopped the facial pain. Carbomazapine stopped working on it. What an awful journey and I don’t follow the usual referral of pain pattern except I get vision issues. I’m going to have surgery on this.
@@IfCinderellahadahome please keep us posted on your recovery! What a hard season, so sorry.
This is so helpful thank you.
I need help!!!! I did. Shoulder workout 2.5 weeks ago. My right shoulder can’t flex. Looks like I have no trap at all on the right. Left is huge which I normally have big traps anyways. I have a mild pain since this happened. How do I find out how bad my shoulder is ????? ER doctors suck! What kind of doctor do I need to see???
So sorry for the late reply! I would strongly suggest you see a good physical therapist!
Does occipital neuralgia resemble moderate to severe sinus headaches?
will a muscle relaxer help with the tight muscles? the eye pain is killing me .. theres only soo many excederin one can take
Sorry for a late reply and that you are dealing with such eye pain. I would suggest seeing a great neurological dry needle therapist. Check this site to see if there is an advanced certified therapist near you. I know the eye pain that comes with spasm to the back of the head personally and it is miserable! integrativedryneedling.com/directory-index/
Ive never felt a shooting pain like that and i sweat uncontrollably
I was taught at a physical therapy continuing ed course , no tension on the nerve. So head follows the arm.
Definitely would not want to tension a very sensitized nerve. Flossing with slack on one end and tension on the other would be better. For a less sensitive and just "sticky" at times a tensioner can be helpful. For sure need to listen to the body!
How do we get rid of the pain don’t means a thing looking at pictures I am not a doctor. ,
I would seek care from a skilled physical therapist who is trained in neurological dry needle therapy. That is what I utilize with most of my patients in conjunction with a tailored plan for addressing mobility in the thoracic spine and lower cervical and stability exercises for the upper cervical. This video was made for a patient to review structures we had been working on in a session and definitely is not intended to be a self help type video. It just happened to take off on TH-cam because so many people are suffering with pain here. I am sorry you are dealing with it as well!
Amazing how the creator made us.
Couldn't agree more!
❤
I totaled my 2023 soft tail. Got a grade 4. I’m 5 days in and feels 85% better already. Ended up having to replace ligaments and stuff too with a allograft
Good for you and hope your healed
Thank you, it is more valuable than what my stupid doctor says.
Great video:) obliterated my ac joint like this guy. No surgery. Weight lift daily and full range of motion will come back. What wont is stamina
So there's no hope? But you did inspire me because I thought I was game over.
@@x88868 there is hope! Im much stronger than before the injury! You will just notice fatigue quicker on which ever side is injured! Never lose hope:)
@@michaelmiddlemanmagro47 thank you.
Ideally nerve blocks, steroid injections with a two gap followed by botox injections in the scm, levator, trap should happen a month a few weeks before PT if you have this imo. Not only will it basically cure the symptoms but the fact is the nerves are inflamed a long with the muscles. As a result, PT won't do any good before hand because everything is inflamed causing a positive feed back loop.
I think you are spot on for the right case! Sometimes things are SO angry and irritated that other intervention past what PT can do are needed to help calm things down before we can make a lasting impact.
I just separated my shoulder, I’m really worried if it will never be the same. Do you have advice for finding a physiotherapist for this? I mean what can they even do really? Just strengthen the surrounding muscles in your chest and delt and deal with it like that forever? It just sucks it seems like. Even if it wasn’t as bad what would be the risk going forward for the injured shoulder in particular like is it more at risk for impact or in certain positions?
So sorry to see this! There are a lot of manual interventions to make sure secondary muscle guarding of the neck and shoulder blade do not kick up and cause additional pain and discomfort . But yes, a massive focus would be on strengthening of the proper musculature to ensure as much support as possible to the stretched ligaments. if there is complete tear of ligaments, surgical intervention may be warranted. If there is only partial tearing of the ligaments, often times, significant strengthening can be very helpful and avoid surgical intervention of course. Without seeing you, there is no way for me to give any specific advice like that. Where are you located? Sometimes the best route is to ask on social media and see who people in your area have gotten great results from. This is not always, but typically an orthopedic is going to send to someone in-house or someone who markets to them a lot (they may get great results don’t get me wrong but usually physician offices are not as familiar with out of network providers who have more 1:1 time).
@@HiFLEXHealthPerformance, hey thanks for the response. I’m located in DC. Yea, I haven’t looked around too much atp. I called a physio close by and was going to go in for a session but the trainer didn’t even know what a separated shoulder was so I figured that option wouldn’t make sense
Amazing presentation. So which kind of doctor should we refer to. Is it orthopaedic or neurological expert? Can this be associated with Gastric as i have this kind of pain but with increased burps..
Personally my vote goes to neuro based physician rather than ortho! I prefer a neurological focused D.O. Interesting about the increased burps. Makes me think about vagus nerve as it controls rest and digest vs fight or flight. Being more into fight or flight can stress GI and potentially cause increased burping. This is an interesting write up on the connection after-anxiety.com/anxiety-belching/
Excellent presentation and explanation of the ulnar nerve.
hey there I'm having similar situation like other people in this comment section pain occurs only when throwing something overhead it would be really helpful if you explain it further and also how to fix it. i got my x-rays and mris doen also did a one month physiotherapy session but it still hurts in the shoulder 😢
THank you for great knowledge. Thank you so much!
I think i have an issue with this. My trap feels tight or stretched.
Loved the 3D and the explanation. Had a huge crash on riding MTB and ended up with a broken left wrist and a level 5 separation in the right clavicle. Had surgery on both areas the same day a week after the crash. Had a surgen tell me that the clavicle was just estetic and surgery was not needed, but I wanted surgery. Even after healing without surgery its something that is just going to hurt or be uncomfortable when lifting weights or doing activities. I would have prefered a broken clavicle bone insted on ligaments but that is what I got. I'm in my 2weeks of recovery and pain is gone but movement is very stiff. Doctor told me not to move or use shoulder with force for 3 to 4 months, so that is do, I dont want to damaged the area.
Are all nerve blocks in this region really deemed unproven at this time? My insurance denied my claim for Greater Occipital Nerve block 😢
These are the most painful headaches. I do have occipital pain for sure. But I do take Maxalt 10mg (Rizatriptan benzoate) which is the only medication that relieves the throbbing itself. It’s a migraine med but does work for me to relieve the nasty ones. But the soreness and tightness still remain until it refers right back up into the back of my head and over my right eye. At this point in my life I have come to accept headaches are part of my existence. I’m in my mid fifties now and have had headaches of varying degrees since my 20s. If a doctor could find the root of my pain and help me knock it out, it would be life changing for me.
So sorry you have dealt with headaches for so long! integrativedryneedling.com/directory-index/ if you are in the states, see if there is an advanced practitioner near you. OR if you can find a chiro who specializes in upper cervical spine that could also be helpful!
Hello! I love his floss - do you have one floss to decompress axillary nerve in quadrangle space? And one to settle firing around the anterior deltoid/tricep longhead/ teres minor when it is the anterior shoulder muscles that need to be active?
Have you tried a radial nerve glide?
While doing this I felt a stinger ? Do you have any advice on this ?
Try tipping head toward the arm as opposed to away and see if that changes things. Tensioning the nerve when it is too irritable can zing you. Think about it as slacking one side, tensioning the other versus tensioning both sides.
Love the 3d model! What scenario do you recommend surgery? When it’s grade 5 and all the ligaments are torn? I’m starting to use mine again at week 2 but I’m contemplating surgery. Do you think not having surgery would make it easier to hurt other things in the shoulder due to the instability of how much it has moved in a grade 5? Or with enough PT and strength it would be strong again for dirt bike riding and future crashes
Great explanation thank u
Hi, I just watched this video with a big interest, can you please give me advice how to help this problem please.
This is the best visualisation of the nerve I have been looking for during the past three years. Thank you ☺

its hard doing any weight training or bodyweight workout involving your shoulders with this shit, i shouldve gotten surgery. is it too late to get surgery after7 years?
I was wondering when you age and lose muscle over time will the AC joint be more exposed down the line which you will need surgery regardless?
