All I’m interested in is this: is it any use in its hearing aid mode with listening to music from my turntable in real time from my ancient valve base hi fi system ie no headphones. I currently use a Widex Evoke hearing aid and I simply cannot imagine using anything else. It’s simply the best I’ve ever used for listening to music in my lifetime. At a price in comparison to the AirPod 2 of course 😊

So Apple has not done anything to fix their software that won’t connect to hearing aids that are on their compatibility list. We are seeing the same issue with iphone16 pro

Dad gave me this aftershokz air between 2019 and 2022, now it's 2024 and still working fine. Cosmetics got faded and rubber got removed so I glued it back. I love this product!

I got me a pair last year (not the usb-c one) but it was the best purchase I have ever made. I have dropped an airpod at a rubbish dump, in a toilet and just by being really clumsy. They still work 100% and I cannot recommend them enough if you are a musician or just appreciate music. Shoutout Apple

I bought one just a week ago,and found its functioned satisfactorily. Location: Taiwan, Taipei.

I bought the phonak Audeo Lumity about 10 months ago. I don't think they were ever adjusted for my needs, they were just dispensed by a Kaiser partner audiologist. Now, one will not hold a charge. Though it is under warranty, everything has to be dropped off at the audiologist office for an undetermined time period. There is no apparent way to get any service without paying out of pocket, and sending them off to somewhere for unknown time period. These cost thousands even with Kaiser medicare advantage chipping in. Phonak 'support' says rechargeable battery can be replaced with 'a service'. There is no info on how to get 'a service'. I am not a happy customer.

Ive had it as long as I can remember (Im 17 currently) and I honestly thought it was a normal thing for the longest time. It doesnt really affect my life at all because I Pretty much always have a noise machine or fan going on at my house but maybe I just have a minor case

Hi Doc - I heard your channel introduction, you’re a musician too. I’m a late in life rocker with hearing aids. My loss is in the higher spectrums from 250k to 500 25 db 750k to 2k it drops to 60 db and flatlines there to 8k. Left a little worse than the right but pretty close. My question is about In Ear Monitors. I read somewhere that you can tweak the EQ based on your audiogram to bring your db closer to normal. The system we use allows for each monitor to receive their own mix & EQ. I tried a sample track to A/B how it would sound. With my hearing aids or with IEM playing the same track with EQ db raised based on my audiogram. It seemed to me like it was too much. Maybe I’ll just have to experiment with it. What has your experience been working with musicians with hearing loss utilizing IEM’s?

ENTs weren't taught anything about it and only learn from there patients what helps . They are of little help.

False information! If you need a rest from the din there are lots of white noise videos on YT. The crickets one works for me but just try them until you find one that blocks the sound for you. It gives you a break from Tinnitus, and a rest for your brain. It's not a cure, but it does help.

When I was a little boy my parents used to send me to Bible School and the teacher had a deaf daughter he taught me a little bit of sign along with this song so I can talk with her. My family moved after a while and I forgot pretty much all my sign language now I'm going deaf and relearning. I figured what better way of getting a refresher course and start my re-education is to look up this song again.
