East Midlands Airport Plane Spotting | Incl AeroLogic 777 | 12th September 2024
A fairly busy Thursday at East Midlands Airport in Castle Donington as we first see some planes from UPS Cargo terminal car park and bus stop, then after a brief visit to the terminal, we plane spot at the Aeropark with runway 27 operations. I then stayed in the Premier Inn at EMA as I was flying to Dublin the next day.
In between we had a bit of hail but soon passed us and was sunny again.

Great vid but I feel it could have been easier if you got on a train from Leeds to Horsforth because Horsforth is the closest station to the airport But still. Superb video

How full was the plane? Boeing 737-800 flights to the UK from Skiathos are required to take off with a reduced payload and a load factor of 140-145 out of 189 seats due to the short runway (1628 meters).

Came back from Rhodes, Greece 🇬🇷 after a lovely holiday but landed back in Manchester at 02:45am on a Sunday morning and the first train out of the airport home wasn’t until 07:36am so had to sit in the station concourse with security alert announcement on repeat and I was tired and it got so annoying
Glad you liked Rhodes. Manchester Airport station like any other station has to repeat the same security announcements for safety.

Fxck sake Youd think they’d keep the steam engine at the platform til the TPX had arrived or held the TPX at a signal just outside the station for a few moments. I’m sure there could’ve been someway of avoiding this.
Yh not a lot could be done I’m afraid.
They wouldn’t have held a passenger train outside a station just so trainspotters can watch a steam train.

A great compilation. You captured the spirit of the day. Excellent camerawork at 15:12. Hard not to get other enthusiasts in the sequences but you succeeded. From Australia, I visited in 2022. Did all the bystanders have tickets, or at the very lease have to purchase a platform ticket and hopefully make a donation as well?
