Richly fermented, straight Virginia in a fine ribbon cut. The process used to produce the tobacco creates a natural tea-like tin aroma and results in a natural-tasting tobacco that has a mellow sweetness and subtle aroma. In spite of the gentle flavor, this is a very robust blend best enjoyed after a meal. 0:00 Intro 0:18 Housekeeping Old German Clay Cutty 1:24 Tin opening 2:05 Thoughts on Dunh...

Om…..Om…..
Thank you for this! I have a 1977 Gillette razor that had the head broken off. It's just been sitting in a drawer for the last few years as I didn't want to throw it away, but didn't know what to do with it. The threads on the handle were fine. So I just used a small screw and washer to make it into a tamper. It doesn't look as nice as yours, but it works great and I didn't have to use any glue. Thanks again for the inspiration.
That's awesome! I had done the same thing before using a washer and a screw; and it worked well but I really like the foot on the 8deco tamper. The epoxy is a little more delicate though I've had to re-glue it after dropping it.
❤❤
Beautiful and relaxing; serene smokes!
See always works relaxing on me. Have a pleasant weekend Blake, Janez
Thanks, you too!
We just love that area! We usually spend about a week in the summer in Cambria, one of the most relaxing places on the coast!
It’s a beautiful place to spend a vacation.
Great view
sounds like good blends man.
Thanks for sharing the G.L. Pease with me at the shop, sorry I forgot to mention that.
@BlakeMDCCCXXVII Dont be.
A like for your puppy!
Thanks!
Sad I won’t make a list this year 😢 fun watching yours. Happy smokes
Understandable, hope you're doing well Merry Christmas.
Dang, I gotta start getting my list together! Thanks for sharing!
It's that time of year for sure Kapt.
Sardines, they practically smoke themselves
I’ve had that Sardinia tobacciana, it’s actually very good. 😂. (You also have 666 subscribers).
Pairs well with some cheese and crackers.
Very nice 🤙
Good video, I enjoyed hearing your thoughts on some 2024 tobaccos. I don't mind EM but not sure what all the hype is about either. I am not a regular of Latakia either, but do enjoy it when I have it. Merry Christmas.
I had a few Latakia heavy blends and it really turned me off for several years. Blends that aren't so heavy handed or after several years of age takes the edge off of the leaf are ok now once in a while.
Hiyas Jonathon, That's a very nice Georg Jensen Billiard, the stummel coloring, in that light is quite becoming. An interesting array of blends for 2024, thanks for sharing them with us. I plan to do my tobacco year in review in early Jan. Here's to a lovely Yültide for you and yours. Nellie says hey. Serene smokes Gary
Many thanks Gary, Happy Holidays!
Yo G, terrific video! I always enjoy your annual smoking experience recap and yearly favorite rundown. The Solani 660 is at the top of my favorites for the year. I can't stop smoking that stuff. You had me going with the sardine joke. I paused the video and kept looking at it trying to figure out what kind of tobacco it was. 😆😂🤣 I hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas and happy New Year! Cheers, Andy
660 was very enjoyable, thank you for sharing that one. We can't take ourselves too seriously with this hobby.
Great vid, appreciate your thoughts! Merry Christmas and Happiest of New Year's👊🎅💨💨
Glad you enjoyed them, thanks.
Be sure to let us know how those Tunisian Sardines smoke. 😆😅😂. I can her your tobacconist now, "anyone seen my lunch!?" Looking forward to trying the Brown Sugar flake I just got from Parsimonious Piper. Great list of smokes this year! Looking forward to hearing what you think that 45+ year old Mac Baren Virginia No. 1. With them going away, I bought 2 lbs of bulk Virginia No. 1, as it has proven itself to be very age worthy. Thanks for trade this year! I appreciate your support in making my two ultimate Mac Baren tastings possible. Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year! 😁💨💨
I plan on getting to the aged MB #1 VA next year once it warms up again, it's still "decanting".
❤
Nice choices Jonathon except there was one tobacco that I had ever heard of, Sardinia Tobacco? Ed
It was a little fishy.
Do you mostly smoke Virginia (and sardine) based blends? If you ever want to try another Country Squire blend, Faulkner Flake is a really good VA flake. I agree with you on the peterson stuff, I'm not a fan of any of their blends. All overrated in my opinion.
Thank you for the kind words Mike.
Heyyyy, J! Thank you for sharing the blends you enjoyed throughout 2024! I, too, slowly came back to English blends after burning out a couple of years ago. Lol The Brown Sugar Flake is one that got a bad review when it was released back in 2023. I was wondering if I was the only person who had positive thoughts about it. Lol It kind of reminded me of Brunelo Flake without the Brunelo Flake topping. Very nice and bready, I must say! I hope you and yours (and the pups) are having a wonderful holiday season. May the Lord bless you and your household with much grace, peace, and love - in Jesus' holy name! 🙏
Yes, I thought the Brown Sugar Flake and the Brunello tasted very similar, although the latter had much more age. Thanks again for sharing that tin with me.
My pleasure, dear brother! Thank you for sharing a good amount of your cellar with me! 🙏
Thank you for the helpful tips, appreciate it
Glad it was helpful!
Awesome view brother
That is a beautiful sunset. I know when I’m driving out across New Mexico and Arizona and the suns coming up or going down and shining off the side of the mountains. It is something to behold.
Beautiful 😍
Nice tips! Thanks !!
Always kool to meet pipers in the wild. So many dudes have Capt Black on the brain though... I'm sorry but it's true. Don't get me wrong I'm a whatever floats your boat guy. Not telling a 70 year old "you be you".
The smoking lamp is lit. It looks like you had another great trip. Ed
Sounds like a great experience. Thanks for the shoutout!
Awesome story Blake! Sounds like a cool guy
Great video. It's classic running into the old timers smoking pipes.
Hiyas Jonathon, What a wonderful encounter, another piper in the wild. 😊 I really enjoyed listening in. There are as many ways to enjoy a pipe as there are pipe smokers, I reckon. To each his own. Serene smokes my friend Gary
I salute you Bob. Happy smokes 💨💨
Wow! Pipers in the wild really exhist! Thanks for running down you list of cruiseship must haves. I need to get me a wind cap. Thanks for sharing the story. What a cool couple of encounters.
You had my undivided attention. Fantastic frikin video. Thanks for sharing this encounter, great story. Have a wonderful week! 😁💨💨
Seeing a codger in the wild stories are my absolute favorite. I’ve yet to experience it, but I can only hope. Timberdrifter has a great video about running into a codger as well. ❤
Thank you for sharing the codger meeting with Bob😊
Jealous! not gonna lie. memories like this is all that matters in the end.
Great to see you Blake! Awesome tips! Dark chocolate? Going to give that a try. Never would have guessed tortilla chips, but l kind of like that after taste on my tongue. 😅😅
Awesome video Blake...sounds like a spring cleaning type of project. I have done the airway openings in the shank but I haven't done any stems aside from drilling out the cob stems to fit 6mm charcoal filters. Hope you're well.
Great compilation of your vacation destinations. Beautiful! 😍
