    Sorry but the navy seal burpee will bring the body way more stimulus and muscle fatigue then this variation.

    Lots of past tense talking in the comment section, ladies. With few exceptions, there is no reason y'all can't be doing 8/10 count body builders now. Ok, fine, you can't do "500" (yeah right) like you could back when, but you can work towards doing a few each day, starting today, tomorrow, and going forward. I'm 50, I run/walk, do calisthenics 4 times a week, and wear a 25# weight vest several times a week for several hours at a time to remain "body armor" fit. Less "back in the day" talky talky, ladies, and more pushy pushy. READY! BE-GIN...

    Could this be an acceptable variant of CSS for a special warfare selection? Would this be fast enough for 500m with a sub-10min time?

      Definitely fast enough for a sub 10. I swam a 9:50 with this variation, and I was stuck in the 10:30 range. However, I'm not sure if you're allowed to use this on a PST.

    I did COUNTLESS numbers of these in BOOT CAMP at NTC, RTC ORLAND FLORIDA way back in 1992. Let me tell ya, first hand, that 8 count body builders are FANTASTIC for getting a NEW BOOT into shape!☠⚓🇺🇲
