The Sacramento Sierra Jeep Connection is a local Facebook group that wheels quite a bit and we all try to get together every month or so for a meet and greet. This event was organized by Jeff Hall and held at Drake's "The Barn" in West Sacramento. Over 100 Jeeps attended on a Wednesday evening!

I relocated Sirius antenna in my JL but GPS can't find the signal and clock won't sync either. Did you relocate the other antennas as well?
I only relocated the XM antenna and haven't had any issues with anything else. I don't have Nav in my head unit though
@ I don’t use the Nav either, but I noticed that the clock in UConnect screen is always way off unless I manually adjust it which kinda sucks. I believe there’s two other antennas installed in the roll bar. Wondering which one is responsible for that.
@@Luke-w5q interesting... Mine only had one. What year is your JL? mine is a '21
@ mine is 2022. Your clock is able to sync no problem?
So we’re planning on going to Tom’s cabin sometime soon and wanted to join a group are you from the Bay Area?
I live in Sacramento area, which is also where MetalCloak is at
@ I have done Tom cabin trying get group go my step dad
Those are sweet lights. I’ll check them out
Great people, great product!
Happy Holidays to the MetalCloak family. This is a fun drive no matter what time of year one gets to enjoy it!
agreed! Perfect Sunday drive regardless of season
👍👍😃
Lots of cool rigs. Great video
Thanks!🙏
Watching this Christmas morning !
Thanks for watching! 🙏
Rubicon is my Back Yard! I live 50 min from the trail. LOVE IT! Great video! Just finished my wife's JKU Build. ALL METALCLOAK. Outstanding Quality!
Thank you!
Did the tent come with different types of mounting brackets ? My bed rack had 2x2 square bars.
yeah, and the steel plates that it came with should work fine with the 2" bars
@@metalcloakmikeya the grub bolts it shows in the manual are 60mm long which is only 2.3 inches so worried they won’t be long enough for 2 inch square bars and the provided screw knobs. Do they include longer bolts ?
@@unounv I don't recall, but there IS some other hardware in the bag. Reach out to them and they should be able to clarify. I don't think it would be too difficult to source the correct hardware at the local hardware store as a worse-case scenario.
Will the mounting brackets work with 2x2 bed rack bars?
yeah, it should work fine.
@@metalcloakmikeok thanks
Thinking of getting this tent and this review was very helpful. How did you find the mattress compared to other RTT? Thank you!
@@danb821 I think it’s very comfy! Way better than my iKamper
@@danb821 tell them I sent ya! 😉
@@metalcloakmike will do!
What does the control adjuster do that is on the little piggyback resi?? I love the 24 click adjustability just not sure what the other adjustment option does or what it should be set at. I own two and one came tight af and the other is loose... thanks in advance!
The item on the reservoir is just a Shrader valve and cover. That's how it's charged... non adjustable. The adjuster on on the end of the shaft at the axle side.
Looking good as always! What does the adjustor for the reservoir do?
The adustment controls the stiffness of the movement... helps keep your steering stiffer
I really like my ATS
Nice built, really good size and design, but too much for my budget 😔
With a hat that big who needs a shadebrella 😊
Bro clearly loves his shade 😂
Shade-Good!
What fenders do you have
Those are stock fenders with a Gutz Delete kit by Metalcloak. Rubicon fenders are 2-part and can be split in half for more clearance
Hellhole is a great trail
That’s an easy fix. Get you a door and sticker?
I’m gonna subscribe for no reason at all except there’s a rubicon
Jeep party!!!…but what about a hummer?
Jeep owners are so weird, they try to cover up the scratches from actually using it 😂
One day someone will build jeeps out of titanium
I mean, I get it, if I had a jeep I'd still want it to look pretty and perfect even if I use it and know it won't stay that way
Great video Mike !! ✌🏻doors for life here too 🤙🏻
2 doors rule! Thanks for watching!
I love your setup I just bought a 2013 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon JK 2-door 50,990 miles i got it 7months ago and I want to put a lift on it metal clip but they're pretty expensive shoot I would do some advertising on my jeep as well to get a deal on a lift. 3- 3.5 inch is good i want to run 35"-37" tires and want a roof top tent.
Nice walkaround... I was telling Jeff about this RTT and how it may be an option for us although with the dogs, we may be destined to stay in a ground tent.
If you ever want to borrow the tent for a bit, let me know. It's here at Metalcloak.
Thank you! 🙏
Are those 35’ inches tires?
38’s. 😉
Love it, love it~
Thank you. This should all go without saying, but sadly...I guess it still does need to be said.
Lol! Definitely a veteran
Awesome video Mike! I'm reliving a lot of fond memories.😊
Thanks Gretchen! Nothing fancy, just me learning how to do video stuff. 🤣
Have you noticed any negative off road performance with the extra top weight? I've wanted a rooftop tent for a while now, but I'm concerned with adding a couple hundred pounds up top.
@@strix9013 no degradation in performance so to speak, but you do feel the weight up there. I’m just more careful about off-camber and steep situations.
Blue
Those rigs look awesome 🙏🏻🤙🏻
Is there a US based retailer that sells this? Thank you for the overview
@@renk5000 they are accepting orders now and the first shipment into the U.S. is in a few weeks from now. No current retailers that I’m aware of, just direct sales
There are about 13 retailers in the US and more to come :)
Thank you for the video! Where did you get your roof rack from?
@@abdullaalamri314 mine is from Adventure Rack Systems, (Made by MetalCloak)
Where are you supposed to store the ladder? Can it be placed in the tent when closing it?
@@Gazziza29 it can fit in there, but it’s a tight squeeze. Most folks will just put it in the cargo area of their rig
Really nice✌️
Thanks ✌️
❤
Hey Mike, is Metalcloak going to sell those fairings?
They are available now! Check the Adventure rack systems website 👍🏽
Thanks for the review about the tent! Always great to get some feedback🤗
Lots of cool features on the Roof Space!
Looks very nice! Will be interested on your take once you go through the Rubicon with it. Will it be Top heavy or unnoticeable??
ha! I will NOT take an RTT through the Rubicon. I prefer lightweight and nimble rigs, but for long haul trips where I'm camping and driving more (Overlanding), the RTT is nice. After Overland Expo, I'll be removing the RTT for some fun summer day trips up to the Rubicon and if I do an overnight, I'll be in a ground tent as usual.
You’re such a badass ❤
Love it! Good job, MetalCloak Mike. "We will see out on the trail " 👊😎🏕
