Noodles on a Saturday Afternoon - Trailer
This is pure over-the-top glaze. It's a decent show with SOME fine actors. The kid was okay, his acting was serviceable, nothing more. While I loved the dark climax, The rest of the last episode was just dumb. A little too neat and convenient. Things just HAPPEN to advance the plot, the villains all became complete idiots, and the crime lords teaming up was just gay. It's a decent show but there's no depth to explore. Collins character is the only one that doesn't come off like a boilerplate writer's room concoction
One of the best character's ever. Acting, writing, makeup, humour. Everything is golden
I struggle so much describing how much on a profound level I like this show. Probably because I lack the language, but I also think, that we have so much of trash nowadays that when something is not just good, is great, it takes out breath away, in a sense there is some good in having so much bad shows and cinema, very paradoxical. It is just delightful to see the acting, lighting, writing of this show; I have always liked watching manipulative characters done right, even with acess to all the information one can be persuaded and it is amazing, scary, but amazing. I hope I never enounter someone like the penguin, I would be worse than Vic
He does little things to make the character real, like looking in a car window and fixing his balding head of hair. Simple but makes the character feel lived in.
It's a cringe mix between tony soprano and a young robert deniro. One of his worst roles in a very long time. Complete miss
Brilliant analysis of Colin’s acting, the video does a fantastic job at highlighting tiny fleeting moments which show just how good Mr Farrell really is.
Absolutely loved and enjoyed this video. Thank you.
Unlike Heath Ledger’s definitive Joker that he never reaped the rewards, Colin Farrell is definitely reaping the rewards as the definitive Penguin.
Christin Milioti was insanely good as well. They both deserve awards.
“Is a master class in WRITING*, directing, world building …
Can't wait for season 2 for Sofia to find Lazarus pitt and bring Vic back!
Hard to believe Tigerland was 25 years ago. Remember being mesmerised by a young Farrell. It's a pleasure watching him go from strength to strength.
i like how u said jared leto sucked as the joker haha
I see another trophy in Colin's future for sure.
Farrell has always been amazing but The penguin is on another level!
I just still can’t believe this is the same Colin Farrell from the Phone Booth, Daredevil, and the Total Recall remake. He’s totally disappeared into the role in The Penguin.
This show made me rewatch The Batman. You can tell Colin hadn't perfected the character yet.
One of the best performances in this show has to be the actress playing Oz's mum.....she had my jaw on the floor every week....😮
I can't believe Oz is not a real person....as in, I can't believe he is not a real actor playing the Oz role.
thanks for that, bro
It only gets better in Episodes 6, 7, and 8. Especially 8.
Three words.. Moidah Moig Woiks
Short answer: Gefiltefisch.
This is even more insightful after seeing how the show ended.
Amazing acting and writing. I need more Reeve’s Batman now. Could never tell it was Colin F until the last episode where his face came through the makeup during the finale shocker.
For me Farrel carried the show Its only my opinion The character was so good and real he made the others seem fake and or unreal.
I don't hate Oswald, I can understand him and I find it so real it is disturbing. Like I need to look at myself in the mirror and contemplate my life. It is by far my favorite show of all time.
Im sorry but it is cartoony af, its like a bad Tony Soprano impression
Colin put in work...perfection.
Blown away by this show . Film is beautiful by environment and drama . Bravo .. I hope to see this happen with all of this batverse
Scorsese punchin the air right now. One of the best wise guy gangster takes. We’ve gotten and it’s from a comic book movie.
This really is one of the greatest performances I’ve ever seen. Not only do I not see Colin in this character, I don’t see The Penguin as I’ve known him my entire life. He created something completely new and fantastic.
How’s everyone doing after episode 8
This is the truth I always wanted to hear because it’s what I thought but people were so blinded thinking this was just about a creepy thrilling & morally complex stalking, but that’s just one part.
Where's all the woke people saying " why didn't they pick a real obese person to play the role" this is why 👀🤣
Penguin is Trump and the Vic is the Trump voter
Actually this scene feels like the one from Joker 2019 😮
The scene is a good showcase of how Oz views relationships as transactional. Oz gave Vic a job, gave him a roof and clothes, so shouldn't that be enough to buy his love?
Most realistic depiction of a sociopath ever
I loved how on interviews Colin talks of Oz in third person. It's like he treats the character like a real living entity separate to him, like acting as The Penguin was like walking in his shoes, becoming him. And I think that is so beautiful, not all actors have this perception with a character.
Really interested in your takes on Agatha all along! Genuinely the best MCU since Loki and Wandavision
Made with SO much care too, we're going back to rewatch because of the amount of details put in (and the costuming BTS just came out, its insane too)
Justice for my girls Sofias acting too, in episode 6 was incredible (abd all show)
0:32 i forgot it was him a little bit ago and i watched a group interview w the cast, and when i didnt see Oz rather Colin sitting there i was like uhhh how can you not have Oz on the panel?? And then i remembered haha 😅
He’s good in the show because he had the Batman pre and post pandemic and the writers strike to develop the character.
I just see Oz.
Great actor
That scene with Victor in the bathroom reminds me of Walter and Jessie pinkman, the last time Walt manipulated Jessie, the scene in which Jessie wants his money for the last time..
Colin Farrell is a better version of the Penguin than Joaquin Phoenix ever was of Joker, n isa slightly better than Heathledger's Joker as well
Definitely more realistic
Vic’s actor is doing an incredible job himself. I’m just in awe at how well the cast is performing as an ensemble. Brilliant performances add to what is already an enthralling narrative. Really love what they’ve done with this series
Dude yeah this, he is such a good foil for Penguin. Really lets you see the full range of the Penguin as an observer
RIP
There's a (well, many) reason(s) this series has been often compared to The Sopranos -- the leads are really quite similar. Mommy issues, having to fight to get up top, etc. But I showed my Mom a clip of Colin from In Bruges and then showed her a clip from The Batman and told her that it's the same guy and she practically slapped me in the face. Dude is CRUSHING it. I'm SO happy he turned away from the big budget beautiful boy bullshit and started choosing interesting roles.
You know the show is something special when the first season hasn't even finished airing yet and there's a slew of video essays already out saying "This is how you do crime drama"
After that final episode... Boy did they stick the landing. One of the best new shows in years.
That's the only time I can say this performance is a sure Emmy win for lead actor in a series.
