Great to catch up with your progress. I’ve been working on my Lines House, or rather Grandpa has been working on The Folly 😂. Finishing the stairs will be published tomorrow morning. I’m currently working on the kitchen, and like you I have to see things visually.

I have just started watching and I am excited to see your journey. I have a suggestion regarding the curtains your mum made. You could make them into some cushions or use the fabric to make a patchwork bedspread. Then you will see the fabric and remember mum. Instead of putting them away. ❤

I just found you today and binge watched all your videos. I love how your house is coming out. I am working on a Glen Croft house I got off Facebook market place for $20.00. I am working on the stair railings. The ones that came with it are just a full piece railing. I seen your last upload was a month ago and was like no please don't tell me your not coming back. What a sweet house! What a wonderful thing to have your childhood dollhouse! Oh, how I would love to have mine! You’re going to have such fun revamping this! I just subscribed! I have a big 1:12 dollhouse I found at a thrift store a few years ago that I’m working on. I also have a 1:24 I picked up a week ago at another thrift store! Finally, just received my first Triang house (1:16) and cannot wait to get going on it! There are some great dollhouse channels out there, aren’t there? I subscribe to several. Julie Warren is legendary! I also love Little Gretchen’s Workshop very much! So many others too - if you would like more channel names, I’m happy to share. If you have ones to share, that would be wonderful too. Lastly, an idea to consider would be to save some pieces of wallpaper and any fabric, flooring, etc you decide to remove, and incorporate them into your remodel - a little framed piece of wallpaper, a pillow made of the fabric, etc. Your childhood home will be enriched by these historical pieces! I bought an IKEA dollhouse/bookshelf and am outfitting it with furnishings. I need to floor, wallpaper and paint. I'd like to cut some windows too, so I will be watching to see how you do it! This is also my first adventure with a dollhouse, so it will be fun watching you!

You might consider a spiral staircase, there are some good tutorials on how to make them. Bentley House Minis has a really good one.

i have the same old house! it is an albert neeley hall house....called swiss chalet #1185? i am also renovating mine . it was found in the rafters of a shed after who knows how many years- they were made in the 60s and 70s from a pattern folks could buy.

This is the place I am starting on mine. I made the base house out of cardboard and now I'm going to floor it. I too will be laying "hardwood" floors. My plan to try and prevent warping is to "stain" all the wood sticks both sides (what ever you do to one side, do to the other to prevent warping) and then dry fit them into each room and cut to fit. We'll see how it goes. I'm really enjoying your videos.

I like the idea of using cereal box material to "sturdy up" the walls if they are damaged or just totally uneven. Looks really nice.

Either go a touch darker blue than the surrounding wallpaper for the front door, or pick out the pink of it. It'll be adorable x

It will be easier and neater to paint the ceiling if you are able to turn the dollhouse upside down. Just support it with something while you work.

If you sand it and scrape it down to the original wood the glue will stick better.

Thanks for your tips on the wallpaper. I am using a large antique bookcase as a dolls' house and I don't want to glue paper or fabric directly to the interior, in case I decide to use another option later. (The case has glass doors and gives me 15 rooms so I love the size).
