What is the top diameter of the vessels?
Hi I am one of your fun and I follow your TH-cam videos and I am running small candle making business just I want to ask you what is best wick for kera soya 4130 container wax CD OR ECO
Hi maah thank you for your video please can you tell me what make of scents you use and are they fragrance oil or essential oils im struggling with scent throw TIA xx
@@lousannesloane2266 Hi , thank you for watching my video!xo For this specific video I used Essential Oil with RCX wax and I also use Fragrance oils with S41 Wax from Candle Shack. I find Essential oils you need to add them to a lower temperature than you do with fragrance oils. Fragrance oils can handle being poured at hotter temperatures. If you are using essential oils I recommend with RCX I recommend pouring at 42 degrees mix for two mins and pour into your candle jar. Fragrance oils depending on your wax between 60 degrees and 55 degrees! Xo hope this helps xo
i thought you were going to use EO
ah you did it later lol
@@siennascott-king4806 haha I love how you answered your own question - love RCX with EO works so well!
The perfect Monday morning with a cuppa video. What an awesome collection and how adorable are those pumpkin jars 😍. I love your enthusiasm anyway but in this video it's been lovely to see you so happy ❤
@@emmabarlow2010 ahhh sounds like an absolute dream of a Monday Morning 🤍 Very adorable pumpkin jars , I made candles in them yesterday using wood wicks and they look incredible! Thank you so much 🥹🤍 its so lovely to see you here honey 🤍❤️
Good video 👍 I enjoyed your unboxing . I posted a video earlier on my channnel too
@@HeavenScentFrags thank you so much and grateful that you enjoyed my video! I will go check out your video!
love how enthusiastic you get about the fragrances... hope all is good with your family
@@clairegillies I love fragrances ☺️ so glad it comes across! My family are well thank God xo thank you so much for asking , I appreciate you 🤍
Hej :) i want to say thank you for time and energy, all your videos help us specialy with ec coco wax 😊
@@whyhnot Hi , thank you so much! I am so grateful that you find my videos helpful & thank you for taking time out of your day to watch me ☺️
Will there be a follow up on the wood wick candles? 🤞🏼
@@sogolboujaran1091 as we speak , I am making wood wick candles ahah! I want to practice more with them and gain more knowledge! They are definitely a little more difficult to test with but not impossible to test with! I will for sure post more videos about it x
When this happens to me I just use some electrical pliers to pull the wick out minus the wick tab. You can then just cut the tabs off the new wicks making sure to remember which end the tab was on and thread back through the hole.
@@stripypjs thank you for this! quick question how do you put back the wicks back in the tabs that are at the bottom of a cured candle?
@@mawahebhome I don’t for the purpose of testing. As long as the melt pool is not to deep you can burn test nearly to the bottom before the wicks will move as they are not secured. It’s a quick and easy way to test wicks after you have made a candle and realise the wick is the wrong size. Once I have established all seems ok I will of course create a new candle with the secured wicks. Hope that helps you.
nasubukan mo na ba ang scent ng coffee citronella at pandan?
If you can't get the wicks out with the apple corer, you could maybe take the wax out of that jar with something like a pallet knife and melt it down again, clean the jar, and re-pour 😊 x
@@LouiseGoudie what an excellent Ideaa!!! I will use this if the apple core doesn’t work 🤍
aw, shame it didnt' burn properly, its so frustrating. the wickless testing sounds like a great idea, it would be good to see that.
@@clairegillies Honestly! I was so annoyed Claire 😭🤍 I was so close to not posting the video because I felt a little embarrassed to post a failed burn test. But I shouldn’t stop myself from posting these things. I will definitely plan a wickless testing video 🤍
thanks for doing this video. I also use RCX for my essential oil candles but I like it with the CL wick. haven't tried it with Stabilo.
@@celenet455 My pleasure , thank you for watching and supporting me! I actually do prefer it with CL wicks than Stabilo wicks but I don’t have CL wicks left lol I need to order some! However its worth trying stabilo wicks if you haven’t, i like them along with TB wicks xo
@@mawahebhome TB wicks are great in S41
Do you like the wax with fragrance oils too?
@@emmabarlow2010 thank you for watching and continuing to support me! I haven’t actually tried it with FO as much as EO but when I made 9cl candles with RCX wax and FO the hot throw smelt good but I think I need to play around with it more before I give you a solid answer x
@@mawahebhome thank you so much. I'm mainly making wax melts because candles were giving me such a headache trying to find the right wax and wick combinations. But I would like to try again for my own use as there is nothing quite like a cosy candle flame. Thank you as always for your honesty and sharing your progress x
@@emmabarlow2010 my absolute pleasure, I can honestly understand what you’re feeling! Your candle doesn’t need to be perfect, it just needs to be safe. So if your burn test is ticking all the boxes: good hot throw? Good flame size (not higher than the jar)? no aggressive flickering? No soot on the flame and your jar? Good sized melt pool? Good cold throw? Then you’re all good! You can always perfect your candle as you go but don’t aim for perfect, it doesn’t exist xo
I always do testing wickless until I find the best % and wick combination then I make 3 candles with the wicks stuck in place to test how the candle burns from start to finish....it's so expensive just testing fragrance oils never-ending essential oils 😊😊
@@LD-nb4hr That is an excellent idea and I need to bring back wickless testing in my candle making routine especially my essential oils! My heart sinks from how expensive testing is 😂
Great to see you back at testing! The TB14 on the Sandalwood and Amber candle, I think looks pretty decent! The flame is quite stable and I really like the edge of unmetled wax it creates, that will protect the jar from getting too warm on the 15 h mark. When it comes to this, I use the laser thermometer and if the candle jar temperature is below 60C and the flame is stable, then I'd say is safe. You may get a better HT towards the middle. Some soy candles just need time to develop!
@@mariaocampo7240 Maria!! Its soo good to see you here! I hope all is well 🤍 Great to see you comment lovely! I love when you watch my testing videos , I always appreciate your experienced eyes when I testing my candles! 🤍 I need to get the laser thermometer , it seems helpful! I do notice that soy candles/natural wax take a little bit more time to release fragrance x
Hey, what size jars are these? Xx
@@cazcoles hey lovely , they are usually advertised as 145ml amber jars with Lids on Candle Shack or scent soaps and candles xo
Enjoyed the video as usual. I tried an EO candle about 4 years ago and it caught on fire! never tried again. I always wondered if there are safer EO companies out there. I will give it another go - Thanks🌺
@@passioncommit8575 thank you so much , very kind as you usually are 🤍 Oh no! Sounds scary , definitely try EO from candle suppliers and let me know how that goes! Fingers crossed you won’t have to experience that again and keep you Essential oil load at 5% in your chosen wax 🤍 I am here to help anytime🌺
I am creating my scents, to be precise I am starting to create my signature scents for candles. Your channel is so underrated. Love watching you. ❤
@@MSTAMRO_Organic_Skincare thank you so much for your kind words 🤍 I am so grateful that you love watching me! Sounds exciting, are you blending essential oils or fragrance oils?
@@mawahebhome essential oils. Wanna create something which is specific to my small startup business, currently using pre-blended EO however
thats really interesting, thank you. the perfume strips are a great idea, sometimes smelling from the bottle doesnt' really represent the fragrance you get .
@@clairegillies I completely agree , it is like perfume it smells different out of the bottle but when it comes it contact with skin it smells different x thank you for watching and supporting 🤍 xo
Can I ask why you went for rcx and not S41? X
@@cazcoles Hi my lovely , it was a random pick ahaha no intentions to pick it over S41 x I rarely use RCX with FO so I sometimes like to see how it works with me x
the little jars are cute. i might get some. I'm just burning a candle shack fragrance Eau Verbena... liked the description... hated the smell when i opened the bottle... hated the smell when I was making it... but... its burning really nicely fresh and lemony... which is a bit weird... lol
@@clairegillies thank you lovely 🤍 and ahaha I think it makes sense actually, its almost like a perfume that we put on our skin - sometimes when you smell a perfume out of the bottle doesn’t smell the best but when it comes in contact with your skin and the notes start your reacting to your skin you may enjoy it. It is exactly the same with fragrances oils and candles - when the notes start releasing into the open air it smells different to the bottle xo
Hi a lot people said me rapeseed coconut is not for glass jar.
@@laurencedelattre104 Hi Laurence , thank you for watching my video. What do you mean not for glass jar? It works perfectly in a glass jar but I wouldn’t recommend to use it in a clear jar because it does leave some cracks in the wax when it cures. I enjoy working with this wax for sure and I recommend that you buy a sample and experience it yourself.
@@mawahebhomei’m so grateful that I’ve found this comment. I made a candle with this wax blend in a glass jar, followed all the rules (cooling on a wired rack, regulating the ambient temperature and etc) redone it even, and cracks and frosting were still there. It’s a relief to know that it’s not my fault but wax’s specialty 😅😅😅
@@_monamono_2382 aww this makes me so happy! I am so grateful you came across this comment, its meant to be! Definitely not your fault , its the wax haha - It doesn’t look cute in a clear jar , the performance of the wax is excellent x

You really wrote everything down! I watched one of your videos 3 years ago and your knowledge really improved a lot. Thank you for the video! 🙏
@@FlorinGN I really did hahah , Oh my!!! I am internally cringing 😂 I can’t even bring myself to watch old videos 😂 Thank you so much for supporting me and watching me , I appreciate you! I am so grateful that I improved too , it feels that I have. Practice makes perfect right? 🤍
@@mawahebhome Without cringe how do you expect to become??! 😅 But they don't look cringe to me... however, I felt the frustration and overwhelming with all of the experimenting, though 😬😬 I'm two weeks into candle making. And I just want to make them for my loved ones. And I am going through some pain too! I haven't got one single candle burning right 😅😅 🙏 thank you! I'll watch them again until I learn
@@FlorinGN I couldn’t agree more! Hahah yes alot of frustration for sure 😂 You will get there I promise, I know you will 🤍 do you just want to make candles as a hobby or would you want to start a small business with it?
@@mawahebhome I will leave the business part to people like you. You deserve it!! Years of work, oh my God! As for myself, I am making the candles for someone dear. I can make my own molds so instead of flowers, I will mold a flower which she likes in form of a candle. So thanks to your advice, I can actually make it happen! Thanks for encouragement! ❤️ And back to you! I've seen many tutorials but you are explaining the whole process with fails and wins. It is more easy to understand, it's... human. This video came just on time. I also live in London and while I love S41, I was experiencing sweating. I've tried to combine S41 with other waxes but there was less HT, I haven't tried the Kerasoy combination so thanks for the tip. I've never quite gotten a good wick on a Kerasoy candle so I guess it never came to mind.
@@celenet455 I am so glad it came on time for you , everything happens at the right time! I recommend that you try Kerasoy but try it at 10/15% Kerasoy, I used a 50/50 blend and 70/30 blend which was not needed. I also never had a good wick with Kerasoy which is why I recommend less kerasoy in the S41 blend so the wicking process doesn’t get affected. I love S41 and the way it burns and I also the HT and CT Kerasoy gives off but the wicking process is poor. We all learn from each other , I am glad my video found its way to you x
@@mawahebhome Even the 10 percent of Kerasoy altered the wicking a bit for me but I've remade the candle with a bigger wick, will let you know how that goes. Have you tried RCX with your fragrance oils?
@@celenet455 oooo thats very interesting to know , I was going to make S41 with Kera Soy! Thats good to know thank you! I haven’t tested RCX heavily with FO yet , I did make 9cl candles with rcx + FO and the hot throw was good! But i do need play around with it more x
It's kind of funny to see the same things happening to other candle makers. I always thought it was just me having too much candle making stuff laying around. Bags of wicks, fragrances you have forgotten about, stuff you didn't like and put away. This is a candle maker thing I guess? Now I can tell everyone that this is totally normal haha! Fun video to watch I have to say! Some casual chatting and looking at the candle supplies you're using is interesting when we share the same hobby!
@@MagicFeather0 I think this is a candle maker thing hahah and I definitely don’t think we are the only ones and for sure this is normal! Ahh I am grateful and so glad that enjoyed watching this video! I appreciate you!

Great video ... I also use RCX and EO, but having issues deciding which wick to settle on. Have you ever tried your candles with Eco wicks? Thoughts? I'm currently torn between Eco and TRC Thanks 😊
@@rosemaryclare22 Hi lovely , thank you for watching my video! I have personally tried ECO and TCR wicks but I find ECO wicks performance so poor with me , I always have bad mushrooming & soot leaving the flame & soot in my jar so I swapped from Eco & TCR to CL , stabilo and TB wicks! If I was to choose between ECO and TCR , I would choose TCR x
@@mawahebhome I've never tried TB ... Are these what you are currently using in this video? Do you get a strong hot throw with them?
@@rosemaryclare22 Hi , I definitely recommend that you branch out to the CL , TB and stabilo series I personally have had a good experience with them giving me a good hot throw , steady flames , little mushrooming but also kindly remember that every candle maker’s testing is different there is alot of trial and error involved! Hows your experience with the ECO and TCR wicks
@@mawahebhome thank you .. Eco 10 seemed to give a strong hot throw ...but feedback from my sister was she could smell like a bonfire smell, but never got this feedback from anyone else, and I couldn't smell that, but as you say lots of trial and error with different scents. TCR have been okay but not very good hot throw for me personally
@@rosemaryclare22 I do understand your sisters perspective with the bonfire smell , eco does sometimes give off that type of smell but I didn’t always smell like that personally for me it was burning too hot , lots of mushrooming and soot x
Hi wich wick did you use and wich diameter please ?
they all look really good. and good that the mix of wax is not sweating in the heat.

Hi lovely, thanks for the video and showing us the tops. I found exactly the same with the sandalwood and amber, sandalwood and vanilla oils from Nikura, zero hot throw and very mild cold throw. Their Cherry fragrance had a very odd chemical smell that gave me a headache evertime i tried burning so i had to stop. I havent tried the Jasmine so I'll give it a go. I like Nikura as a company and their service is fast but i think their frangrances are very hit and miss sadly.
@@passioncommit8575 Hi lovely , thank you for watching and supporting 🤍 I completely agree , I was having this conversation with another one of my followers and I said fragrance oils are really a hit and miss in general in the UK market. I remember 4 years ago I tested fragrance oils from the US and the quality is just beyond but shipping and custom fees are sky high I wouldn’t shop from abroad again. I feel like in the UK you really have to search for good quality fragrances which also means for us spending more money and trying various of suppliers. Not unsing a CL in RCX? I'd go for CL14/16 You can also use L. X in some RCX, depending on where you got the wax from. I never get a good throw from any sandalwood fragrance. Get an apple corer and dig the wick out and change it
@@DDTC73 I need to order more CL wicks , I have ran out lol! I do enjoy working with CL wicks with both RCX wax and my S41! Interesting perspective, maybe suppliers are not able to get good quality fragrances with Sandalwood or maybe its a difficult note for suppliers to work with! I need to start doing more wick less testing! It would be interesting to know if you buy your suppliers for the UK or US?
@@mawahebhome I'm UK based, though I do get some oils from the US, but only through friends who live there. If you know of a great sandalwood FO, I'd love to know. I'm currently trialing a blend of S41 with CS1 and it's great

While I like the results no frosting smooth service with eco soya I am adding 10% of fragrance oil and some smell great some I can’t smell them after few hours pour them what do I do add less next time or more fragrance oil ? Thanks
@@Manos-Luna-Bookish-Flames Hi , thank you for watching my video! When you say some smell great do you mean the cold throw and hot throw or one and not the other? In my experience with FO , some fragrances are stronger than others so it’s definitely not something that you are doing wrong. You could try and test with 8% but if you are working with a weak fragrance then 9%- 10% could work better for you. Also , dare I say it , trying a different wax , I personally no longer use this wax , I moved on to the S41 and RCX wax that are working better for me in regards to HT , CT and wicking process. Trial and error is key , I hope this helps!
@@mawahebhome thank you yes I meant cold throw but today apparently I can smell them I do have a lot of stock of that soya wax but I do plant to do some other testings in the future if I do one candle I do get some oxygen on the glass that I fix with heat gun but if I do more than one the are coming out very good with out frosting or anything it is really easy soy wax that’s why I decided to launch with that one and doing tests regularly with other waxees are the waxes you are using soy wax ? Or other natural wax ? Maybe coconut wax will not have that issues
@@Manos-Luna-Bookish-Flames I think its a good wax to work with from an aesthetic perspective but I completely forgot how it performed when I tested it a few years back. Yes the S41 is a soy wax however it doesn’t have a good aesthetic look unfortunately so I have to mix it with Kerasoy which is a harder soy wax than S41 and I work with RCX which is a blend of rapeseed and coconut , works excellent with me! With some of the fragrance they are soft fragrance so it doesn’t come through as strong in the CT but you could still smell it!
