Good looks Joe, hope training is going well
On a recovery week this week. Not sure I needed it to be honest but am just trusting the system of trainerroad
Keep it up Joe, I am taking a rest week currently, but will be starting my Trainerroad plan in a week. Looking forward to seeing how you progress.
I myself have been off the bike for 18 months... Just too busy at work & other personal stuff. So from going to 8 sportive a year including Lejog to nothing is going to be a massive climb. Let's DO THIS.👏👏👏 I've booked Etape Loch ness end of April as a incentive, good luck buddy....
It's great that you have something to aim towards, I need to get myself in to gear for the summer. I only have the IOW randonnee booked for April. Good luck to you too, keep in touch with an update 😊
I wish you a lot of success!
Good luck with the journey!
Good luck buddy 🤙🏻
Thanks buddy.🤟

Thanks! Good job for explaining the difference between 4k and low fps and 1440p with more frames. I'm planning to upgrade an office HP for Zwift. If a GTX1650 is that good, no doubt a 1070 or 1080 will work great (PSUs are cheap)
Hi. Just thinking about buying this setup. Is all good with the bluetooth connections also?
I use a Bluetooth USB as the hp pc don't have Bluetooth and its fine

But is the feed 4k?
ye the feed is in 4k
Thanks for the info!
Perfect..... Lovin the Jersey 🙏👌
Thanks I thought it whent well as am ex forces
I run an Acer Nitro 5 i7-9750 Geforce RTX 2060. Zwift at 4k ultra straight through the hdmi port. Smooth and zero issues.
The rtx 2060 will be doing most of the lifting
What monitor do i need? Because i got an updated graphics card and a desktop but its still grainy using a sony bravio tv as a monitor?
I am using a 4k tv to run my gtx1650 in 1440p. So you can use a TV if its cheaper for you or you could go with a monitor. Depends what gpu you have really because you don't want a monitor that can run full 4k of you only can run 1080p because of your gpu
Also have you gone into the settings and changed the setting to 1080p or 1440p?

Nice job! Do you ever stand periodically during your FTP tests?
Thanks. No I don't stand as trainerroad recommends to stay seated to get a more accurate test.
@@Joecycles I used to not stand either. In fact, I spent the entire off season last year seated indoors. I found that when I went outside I was terrible at out-of-the-saddle efforts. Now, regardless of the workout, I get out of the saddle periodically. And I figured that since I'm out of the saddle periodically during workouts that I should do the same during my FTP tests for accurate numbers.
Ok well I maybtry it next time
@@Joecycles Do what's best for you of course - I'm by no means an expert. I've just thought about this a lot and think it's silly to not occasionally stand during a test if you stand during training (and you should because we sometimes stand outside on punchy climbs or to change up muscle recruitment). Keep up the strong work!
I am thinking getting back into indoor training as av had some time off the bike with some health issues after having covid back in January 2020
I need to get a power meter so I can do outdoor workouts! I only do TR indoors on the smart trainer.
You can go be rpe
Thanks for sharing. I posted my ramp test recently here: th-cam.com/video/Zvp7lnUN9XY/w-d-xo.html I would have been happy with your results. I went down a bit but that was because I stopped indoor training almost all together. I am not training for a race, I just want to be fast all the time.
I have tried your link and for some reason it won't work. I have stopped using trainerroad as of some health issues at the moment.
Nice job. I just did my ramp test this week and started up with LV Base for winter. I don’t think I could do MV either but plan to add in an extra workout if possible.
Thank you. Are you training for anything in particular? Or just for a bigger ftp to make everything else hurt less?
No events. I just want to get stronger for my weekend group rides.
