Nice job. I just did my ramp test this week and started up with LV Base for winter. I don’t think I could do MV either but plan to add in an extra workout if possible.
@@Joecycles I used to not stand either. In fact, I spent the entire off season last year seated indoors. I found that when I went outside I was terrible at out-of-the-saddle efforts. Now, regardless of the workout, I get out of the saddle periodically. And I figured that since I'm out of the saddle periodically during workouts that I should do the same during my FTP tests for accurate numbers.
@@Joecycles Do what's best for you of course - I'm by no means an expert. I've just thought about this a lot and think it's silly to not occasionally stand during a test if you stand during training (and you should because we sometimes stand outside on punchy climbs or to change up muscle recruitment). Keep up the strong work!
Thanks for sharing. I posted my ramp test recently here: th-cam.com/video/Zvp7lnUN9XY/w-d-xo.html I would have been happy with your results. I went down a bit but that was because I stopped indoor training almost all together. I am not training for a race, I just want to be fast all the time.

Thank you. Are you training for anything in particular? Or just for a bigger ftp to make everything else hurt less?
No events. I just want to get stronger for my weekend group rides.
Nice job! Do you ever stand periodically during your FTP tests?
Thanks. No I don't stand as trainerroad recommends to stay seated to get a more accurate test.

I am thinking getting back into indoor training as av had some time off the bike with some health issues after having covid back in January 2020

I have tried your link and for some reason it won't work. I have stopped using trainerroad as of some health issues at the moment.
