I was playing Remnant 2 tonight and it made me want to play Bloodborne. Time to start a new run!

Viewer 46 here, cool video! a bit surprised honestly that you would rate the combat so highly in it, even if we ignore the bosses. I feel like the reliance on dodge rolling is so heavy that it makes the whole fight-experience way too passive. I think any meele-centric game should have some sort of deflect/parry mechanism that is always available. In Elden Ring, trying to repy on parrying is like playing the game on ultra-hard mode. This way you're spending half of every encounter on the ground rolling. Ghost of tsushima managed this infinitely better in my opinion. Anyways, enjoyed your presentation style! keep it upppp

When i played bloodborne it felt a lot like resident evil 4, if u want a game that has atmosphere like bloodborne play re4 and bloodborne took some inspiration from re4 with some of the enemies and the bosses

So, i just finished a bloodborne playthrough. And here are my thoughts. As a game, it's a solid 9/10, and definitely a masterpiece. In the base game, i feel like there could've been a couple of better bossees. You have some really insane bosses like Gehrman, Vicar Amelia, Cleric Beast, and Martyr logarious, but then you have bosses like micolash, celestial emisarries, and witches of hemwick. For me, the best part of the base game was the level design. It was so interconnected, and i enjoyed it soo much. Then the dlc came... and holy shit that's a 10/10 game. it's up there with shadow of the erdtree. Holy shit was the dlc insane, having 3 of the best bosses of all time + that bloodborne level design.

I played it now for two hours (still not beat the boss) and i kinda hate it. I dont know what to do, where to go and how to fight normally. Why is it that all good games the gaming community addores, i dont like. Why is my taste so different?

Your comment about how anybody can beat up from soft game, I agree with a thousand percent. I played Eldon ring for the first time a couple months when it came out and was so horrible at it that I didn't pick it up for a year. And then I did follow a walk-through which helped me get comfortable with the game and pass my fear and like you said, things started clicking and I found myself loving it. So I went from there to play other from soft games and I am not by any means a great gamer. I'm also 44 years old. I'm currently playing Bloodborne now and just beat the base game and I'm getting ready to start the DLC. It is one of the best games and I've actually found it to be easier than a lot of other games from self has made. I think the playstyle is a lot closer to my preferred playstyle which is aggressive and fast but there are other games I find really hard. Dark souls 3 is probably the hardest game I've ever played in my life. But I'm sure there are people that think it's easy. I think the biggest thing that keeps people from jumping in the from soft games is both the fear of playing a game that's going to crush them until they get the hang of it but also there is a community around it with a special group of people that are a bit elitist and think that because they can parry every boss in a game or beat the game without leveling up or whatever the case is they treat other people like crap.

10:00 1000% agree! That’s why I personally feel the bosses in Elden Ring DLC are weird cause the fast pace doesn’t fit the mechanism of ER so well, no mention those crazy AOE.

I recently played BloodBorne for the first time after playing Dark Souls 1 and 3. I was one of those players with the finger costantly clutching the L1 button, so I was a bit worried about not having a shield. I was so wrong. The game makes it a point to make you feel strong, you are the hunter and they are the prey. The rally mechanic is incredibly good and I actually like the blood vials system, as it allows longer exploration. I ended up finishing the game and obtaining the platinum, having killed most of the bosses on my first try (including defiled Amygdala). All in all, incredible experience, 12/10

Hands down still the GOAT. Elden Ring is not even in the same universe. Bloodborne is simply the greatest game ever made. Objectively.

Had more problems with Capra Demon in lower burg. BoC punishes people trying to rush the boss without learning its attacks.

I absolutely agree its just the lack of gumption that you can't beat the game, I own most of these souls like games, and have beat none of them, so yes I know I'm just a weak ass.

You don't have to fight the Moon Presence perfectly after the depletion. All health you lose you can easily rally back, it is stunned for like 5 seconds!

Although I do believe the open maps could've been executed better since the level design has been compromised somewhat, I also believe the issue is not as bad as you picture it. The open world provides some downtime traveling from one outpost to another, which is optional using the carboard box travel and also doubles as a playground to mess around with some of your toys, like tanks and d-walker. Something that is also taken for granted is its seamlesness, since the other games had to load zones undividually due to limitations. I'd have problems with a tightly packed more dense map since that could compromise said downtime, or outpost would be awkwardly close to each other, not to even mention landing zones, but then again, that comes down to how it's executed. The only genuine complaint I have regarding the open world is Mother Base itself, since it's so empty and the specialized struts are laughably far away from one another, which were made like that to seamlessly load in the background on 7th gen hardware. They had more plans for Mother base and it shows.

That game unironicly similar to Escape From Tarkov (or Gray Zone Warfare). I wouldn't be surprised if EFT devs were inspired by MGS 5 TPP in some points (like a PMC's, open world with add. objective and etc.) And about Quiet - why i need a sniper, if i have a Walker Gear with damn Fulton catapult, who can stole A DAMN TANK at a distance like 80-120 meters without a sound? (and yea, fulton rocket launcher is a scam, dont research it, he can stole only solders and loud af). And WG (walker gear) can have a dual trank-pistols with infinite suppresors and 100 trank bullets (20/80), and CQC hand, who can take down target and grab it. Additionally you can research 3 type of heads - stealth head, making WG undetected by a command, scout head, who scanning enemies on the distance, and force head, who will shot every solders on scanner. I prefer stealth head, cause i more infultrate by myself and my WG will be in safe because nobody will know about him. And WG is a transport too, so i think Walker Gear is best stealth tank for me. MGS 5 is good game, maybe with not so good story of whole series of MGS, but best sandbox-stealth action game.

Another trend that was pushed into the industry in the time Metal Gear 5 was created was online open world, episode content and games as a service, Kojima himself said that metal gear 5 was suppose to be like a "TV Series" instead that as a movie, why?., because that was his solution to fit to the industry trend, so the cinematic story was suppose to be downloadable episodes like a TV series, the big map was suppose to be a some sort of "fortnite", were gamers invade each other o team up in a big field, that was going to be the "online service part", due to the big backlash those kind of games and the xbox one got at the start of the ps4 generation, it might have happened that KONAMI panicked fearing a multimillion failure, so they cut the funding and released what they got, that explains a lot

The problems with MGS V were all created also because of the people in the west especially in america, Metal Gear 4 was a big game in an era where lots of western public got in touch with japanese console games, 2 games got heavy criticism, one was Final Fantasy 13 in comparison to the elder scrolls as not being open world, and the other was MGS 4 was being too cinematic and not an open world, at the start of the 2010´s EVERYTHING had to be open world, in part because games like Skyrim, Saint´s Row and GTA were so big, and was consider that narrative and linear aspect were "boring", so MGS V addressed those points, all of the sudden people reacted negative to both Metal Gear 5 and Final Fantasy 15 just because they cut the linear, narrative and foused in just gameplay instantly and open world, Metal Gear V is an unfinished masterpiece on only lacks the main thing people critiziced, the cinematic part of the old metal gear games....

As someone who was also introduced to the MGS Series from V I really liked and appreciated your Video I think you did a well thought out and detailed look into the last proper MGS Game in the Series and I really enjoyed your thoughts on the Quiet part of your video and I look forward to hopefully seeing more content from you

Actually i loved it more than any other game. Went pure stealth and killed no one, literally captured every combatant. The only thing i hated was that the actual ending finding out venom snake was behind some random mission or something or other I missed. Didn’t find out till saw a video of it.

Please do release the kingdom come video! I bet it would be flawed but INCREDIBLE!

Helldivers is Deep Rock Galactic with MGSV movement. That is what makes it so good minute to minute.
