Excellent instructions! Personally, I would prefer to make those cannons, not just longer, but beefier than the ones in the set. I'm looking at a diagram of the ARC-170, and those cannons totally look like they should be built with 1-1 cylinders and cones before narrowing out... if there aren't any funky parts to capture that level of detail even better. Perhaps the Bionicle, Hero Factory or Technic ranges would offer something perfect...

I guess the one downside is the fact the circular printed pieces on the wings will not match the colors on the wings themselves

I feel like the engine section from the top view also needs work. I find the red technic parts you can see through the black "engine pieces" the biggest issue. Hopefully there will be a mod for that as well.

The arch brick is not available in red 😢 at least with the pick a brick of the lego store (I'm from Italy). Available in other colors but not in dark red. Since they combine the bestsellers with the regular pieces, some of them are not available anymore. Any suggestions?

Is there a way to modify the tailgun? Because of the angle it can't really move left and right only up and down and which is very sad for a tailgun 😁

Offhand do you know how long that technic axle is for the main turrets? I'm putting all the parts into a wishlist and the parts list in the vid doesn't have it listed.

Really good mods! I'll definitely be using these. I also want to see about making the cockpits a bit deeper. I personally don't like how the pilots sit so "shallow" in the ARC 170.

It's absolutely insane that this popped up in my feed. I just had my order for this set arrive a few hours before clicking on this video, and while I was building this set I thought to myself "can't wait to go on TH-cam to see the modifications I can make to this set" and what do you know this is the first video on my feed when i open TH-cam

Good thing I bought two battle packs gonna take apart one of the two sets to make this beauty. Getting back into Lego at 20 years old and I think a battle of christophosis mock would be a great start

Algorithm Bump!

I just got my set in the mail, was so excited to have my first version of the arc-170. Nostalgia aside, there can always be tune-ups to every LEGO set. This one however, could definitely be modified to be a few studs larger on the x, y and even the z-axis for better proportions. The engine parts you made for the front were great, just seems like a lot of pieces which would then make the overall price of the set go up. I really do like the modifications you made on your own version tho, definitely something to speculate.

The best way to fix it is to make it $10-20 cheaper 😭

Could you release the instructions for this or show a tutorial on how to do it? Your mod is by far my favorite for this new set and I want mine to look like it when I get it
