What is Beyond Intention?
It's that place you want to take your wildest dreams and goals.
It's where you have to go to make the things you want in life a reality.
It's something we decided we had to embrace in order to live the life we want.
We realized the only thing holding us back was our own idea of what was possible.
Sandy is an L&D travel RN. Her full-on ESTJ get-what-you-came-for determination is the horsepower we need to pull the trigger on life-changing decisions.
Chris is a jack-of-all-trades INFP dreamer who has always wanted to do and see it all. His passion for nature and history drives our exploration.
Our adventure cat/van panther Benedict loves life on the road as much we do.
We traded in a house in Ohio for a #vanlife on the road, traveling the USA in our 2021 Winnebago Travato GL NPE.

Feeding Sea Turtles in the Florida Keys | The Turtle Hospital
While we were in the Middle Keys, we took an awesome tour of The Turtle Hospital on Marathon!
It's a great way to use your tourism to support local wildlife conservation efforts and directly help sick, entangled, or injured sea turtles.
We learned a lot about the local Green Sea Turtles, Loggerheads, Leatherbacks, as well as Kemp's Ridley and others!
We even got to sea two turtles release back into the sea where they belong.
Wether they're entangled in fishing line or nets, hurt by boat strikes, struggling with Fibropapilloma tumors, or have swallowed plastic or fishhooks, the Turtle Hospital is here to help.
If you're looking for things to do in the Florida Keys, this could be a great halfway stop while you're driving down.
Don't forget to stop at Keys Fisheries for some Stone Crab claws or a Lobster Reuben, too!

Thanks for posting this video. My 2021 G already had the Duda faucet installed but i don't have instructions for how to use it. Can you recommend a video or web link? And i have a leak where the Duda line connects to the water lines--a vertical crack in the connecting nut.

That was Star! Star and Prancer, both juvenile green sea turtles you see a lot of in this video, were released from Higgs Beach on Key West on February 10th! They’re back out there munching seagrass somewhere!

This is why I don’t appreciate travel nursing housing. They want to overcharge & treat u like ur renting. I’m going to buy housing & rent week-to-week with a deposit fully refundable ( minus cleaning fee) after being giving notice the contract vacated with a week deducted plus any days prorated-but never anymore. Otherwise all RNs should boondocks it!

For more wildlife, be sure to see the endangered Key deer found only in the keys. They are adorably small- like dog size. Drive slowly around No Name Key and you’ll see them in yards and all over. Plus there’s the National Key Deer Refuge (free) on Big Pine Key that also hosts some cool events like full moon kayaking. Ps As a fellow birder I enjoy those field guides too. I enjoy your channel 😊

Never used it! Initially I applied a little lubricant to the threads and keyway, but haven't ever thought about locking the ladder in the 3 years we've been on the road.

I love the pelicans too. They like to swoop the bridge, so they’re quite close.
The jet skis looked like a lot of fun. I noticed that you have a Rad Power ebike. Does the factory Winnebago rack seem to handle the weight OK? I am assuming it is the Black River by Summit rack.
We had a blast! And yup, that's the stock bike rack, I would say it's done great! We've hauled it from Denver to Maine and down to the Keys, some terrible roads too, and no issues. Most of what I've read says not to go over 100 lbs on the rack, our Rad (RadCity 5, skinny tires) is less than 60 with no battery. I wouldn't haul two of em this way, and we do make sure to haul it on the track closest to the door, but so far so good!

What kind of camera was Sandy using for stills? Looked like a nice compact size. We have butterflies here in Ames, Ia as well if you ever get up this way.
Good eye! It’s the Sony RX100VII, I think it might be the final ultimate form of point and shoot cameras, now that everyone is using software cameras in phones, and it’s exceptional. If I could put a polarizer or ND filter on it I’d use it for EVERYTHING. Finally came through Iowa on 80 this spring, and was pleasantly surprised! Everyone just says “meh, corn” but I found it beautiful! Nebraska too.
We are originally from Ohio, about half way between Akron and Canton, but have found nice things about everywhere we have lived. Heading for Panama City Beach soon to spend the winter. We travel in our Coachmen Nova Li3 class B.
We grew up about an hour north of Youngstown - I think that's why we think everywhere else we go has such charm... LOL! Love that Nova!

Did you address the awning recall? Transmission recall?
Oh no, you're gonna make me tell my awning story lol. Short version: No, our awning has been broken since our walkthrough at the dealer! Never missed it, and this would have been the THIRD recall with some switch/wiring mod. The first and only thing I will do with that Carefree (HA!) awning is remove or replace it with another brand lol. We move around so much we've hardly missed it. As for the transmission "software update" 🙄 it might have to wait till we're out of the keys at least. Not many hills to roll down here I guess lol.

Great video on a topic that I've been wanting to do for 4 years! Did you modify your shower drain? It looks better and more functional than Winnebago's version
Thanks! Yes we did! It is a 3-D printed drain from “Scott G” in the Travato owners and wannabes Facebook group, I think he might still have them at stg.net… it keeps the bigger particles out so you can remove the screen in the pre-22 G drain pump and stop having to tear it all apart to clean it every 4 showers lol.
We just received our new faucet from Duda. Thanks to your video, installation looks pretty straightforward. But our new faucet came with threaded hose connectors. The stock waterlines on our 2012 Travato G model are not threaded They are apparently clamp on PEX style. Did you have to install PEX adapters of some sort or does your G model already have screw on water lines? Good job with the video!
Hmmm, 2012 Travato? Or ‘21? Ours is a ‘21, our original sink’s connections were threaded so aside from drilling that hole it was very plug-and-play. 😳
@@BeyondIntention I meant to say, 2014 Travato. The waterlines were tucked way below the framework of the sink area. I had to cut away part of the wood framing to get to them. Engineers probably changed the design for better access since 2014. All good now. Thanks!

Hey you guys! After the drive-in meet up with Scott GSLL where I met you two not too long ago, I had two days to see what I could see of the Keys. I could only do the first one and hit the local cigar shop on the right side as I was heading south. I bought several cigars and asked the owner if there was a public beach where I could chill for the day and he gave me a not well known location and it was just awesome. Parked the van with the sliding door facing the Atlantic and was one happy camper. Headed back up to Orlando after that to do the Disney Campgrounds...Loved that! Hope you two and your cat are doing well...I'll be doing the VanBoree in Feb. Just got back from the SpaceX Starship 2 launch in Boca Chica, TX...What a thing to witness...Bucket list!!!
Sounds like a good time! We came near Boca Chica in April looking for birds, slept on South Padre and saw Laguna Atascosa and followed the Rio Grande up to NM! Didn't get to watch a launch. We're doing good, glad you're having fun out there!
