Hi Robert, I'm interested Bowling Left. I'm Kevin Manley in Georgetown Texas Handed Follow the Arrow and dots
what if you have no breakpoint, as in, no hook? Try as I may, the ball just goes straight. Should I roll it cross lane to avoid heavy oil? Should I just target and line up the dots and arrows expecting no break? Or - do I try to develop the hook? Interestingly, before getting a new reactive bowling ball (Storm Tropical Surge), I scored better with house balls, but with what I understand are Brooklyn strikes. Yep, hitting the pocket between 1 and 2 pins. Now, with the Surge ball, I am all over the place. What gives?
So with a house ball, the fit of the ball is standard for a variety of people. Your new ball should have been drilled specifically for you. Also you must take into consideration the coverstock on a house ball is totally different than the coverstock of Trop Surge. The Surge is going to react very different because of that. It has more friction to the oil than a house ball. Thus it will not "move" the same way. A Surge is a great beginner ball for those that want to learn to hook. The reason your ball is not reacting to the "break" point is because you are still rolling it like a house ball. Most likely flat handed. Coming up over the top of the ball which causes it to roll straighter. Perhaps just a few tips on how to hook it would help more. But if you are going to aim straight you need to rewatch where he showed the three circles of it going straight up the 17 board. Now take that example and apply it to your straight ball. Look at the 1-3 pocket and now bring that line back to the foul line, then the dots, and then the arrows. I think if you stand on the fifteen board, look at the 13 at the foul line, the 14 board at the dots, and the 15 board at the arrows, and roll over that path, it should put you into the pocket. If you actually do hit the pocket, you know you have the correct line. If it is hitting the head pin square on, then adjust the line. Move everything one board left, except the 15 board arrow, or the third arrow as it were. Making small adjustments until you hit your preferred target at the pins. A good rule of thumb, is, if it is going to far left, move left, if it is going to far right, move right. Good luck to you. Ten back.
@@JoeBrrFan many, many thanks. i'll be taking this into my practice rounds. I really appreciate the tips.
Dude I can’t with this guy 😂
Je throws ot awful 2 hands Absolutely terrible
Thank you! I will take this into consideration going forward
No views after 1 minute, y’all fell off
😊
I am a one handed bowler, I've tried two hands but my knees and back would hurt whenever I did it. My coach is an old gen bowler and prefers me todo one handed. Yes, it does take a lot of strength and I will admit I do have elbow, thumb, back, and wrist pain. But I prefer this style since it works best for me. I would never do two hands, but I have respect for those who do. Just remember, all two handers started with one hand before transitioning. Happy bowling yall!! 🎳🎳😊😊
Hell yeah ❤❤❤
Zul from Malaysia. How to take spare and pocket ball
Good luck
Good luck
Thank you so much for my better understanding because I am a lefty bowler amateur.
Very helpful, thank you!
Does that work with 5 pin bowling?
If I'm just targeting at the dots, does moving like 2 with the feet and 1 with the eys still work just as well as targeting at the dots?
You shot it on the 24 cant go any farther then 23 1/2
What are you doing at the release though? you never showed in slow motion at the release, I do not get that part yet.
I seen people like him many times before and got lucky and scored very well
Developing accuracy in bowling starts as soon as you are standing on the approach. I have seen many bowlers over the years aiming at 25 and then hit 20. They do not understand why they are missing. Getting aligned is the first crucial step in this process. Then you must execute your throw correctly and be in a good position at the foul line. The goal is to put yourself in the right position to be accurate. It takes some time to figure this out. Just looking at the dots, arrows, and pins are not enough.
what a shit video
Thanks for this. I'm really excited to try two handed bowling even at 61 years of age.
Cant get the ball to hook 2 handed ..just rolls out ...how do you do it??
At the time of release of the ball in 2 handed, you really have to get your hand around the ball in order for it to get some rotation that allows it to hook, it also depends on lane conditions and the ball you use
Drop your shoulder....it helps keep your arm from flying open.
ty for the help :)
Striking allday in practice. Lights go on DEAD
Nice tips!
