Welcome to Laser Focus, a TH-cam channel devoted to all things lasers! I'm a laser hobbyist who enjoys filming and sharing various laser pointers, wavelengths, experiments, and more. You may have seen some of my previous laser videos on my gaming channel, XM360 (th-cam.com/users/xm360). Does any of this sound interesting to you? Hit that subscribe button! And ALWAYS be sure to wear laser glasse...
Can anybody tell me if you can see the laser line through these glasses?
Combine this with DMT!
have you tried this on DMT?
Worthless.
what happened to this guy
Hello, I'm interested in such optical elements, I also mentioned that the micro-structures were setup on elements' surface in your video. So if the light is injected from the other(namely, the back) direction of optical elements, will show the same patterns?
Light Amplification by a Stimulated Emission of Radiation or *"LASER"* for short.
I like how those 10 ways are not commonly available at all times well 1 way is to use a spray to see the laser like in movies
My laser doesn't work in the day
Useful guide to construct a light saber.
this video is stolen edit: wait mb, didnt know this is x360
I kinda really wanted to see how each looks through the camera. Like can enough information pass through it? How far can you see out if it?
Is it worth risking destroying a camera for a few potentially interesting shots?
Do you know why UV lasers are typically infrared converted to uv when using a blue diode would have an initial closer wavelength
Is it possible to buy optical lenses with laser protective layer?
Ciekaw jestem czy możliwe jest żeby szkła korekcyjne miały warstwe ochronną chroniącą oczy przed uszkodzeniem promieniem lasera?
Im looking for safety glasses for 445nm 800mW and its a blue colour laser, seriously want to be safe but still don't fully know what glasses to get?
LPM showing 0.000 means the glasses completely blocked the laser or was there a weak dot pointing at the meter?
Statistically at least one person watched this video , set their bathroom on fire , branded themself with the iron , got added to an FAA watchlist, and ran the fog machine in the aquarium water.
Copied
Stolen vid
perfect explanatory video...thank you!!
Could you explain Single Mode and Multimode Diods in comparsion?
Single mode produces a tight beam dot while multimode has both axis of the diode diverging at different speeds. In a multimode diode one axis will diverge much faster producing a thin line beam pattern. FAC (fast axis collimation) uses a fiber optic lens to slow down the fast axis producing a square beam pattern.
Which one for the 100w NUMB31?
I’d love to have a high powered 555nm diode laser.
@@laserhobbyist9751 class 4
Another significant difference: direct diode lasers can often be pulsed in the Megahertz range, while DPSS lasers will struggle to operate even in the kilohertz range.
Does anyone know where to get a direct diode laser
It is a great video, thank you. I want to ask why do we see the laser diode beam circular from a distance, even though it is elliptical when it exits from the source in the pointer which use laser diode directly??
does the glasses colour need to match the colour of the laser for them to be effective? My laser emits a blue colour...
No not at all, you need to know the nanometers, or the wavelenght of the colour of the laser (nm) which for a blue laser is probably 405 or 445 and for that wavelenght you have to choose the right glasses, knowing also the power of the laser which is measured in watts (w) or the milliwatts (mw).
thanks for the reply.
very simple and good info. thanks a lot
Where can i get the 520nm laser?
lol, this is almost an exact copy of a different video (even the same thumbnail)
What are your favorite sources of lasers and optics other than ebay. :)
This video is stolen
And they are pretty cheap
Yes they did make a pair for the 450 NM
Yes they Did
I'm so curious why the yellow laser beam passes the glasses but the LPM doesn't have any readings. Do other lasers also passes the glasses with visible dot but zero reading on LPM?
What power level would you recommend for 532 nM to use with on Macbook or Dell Monitor?
5mw
This makes so much sense, I actually was wondering about why would anyone use DPSS given their inefficiencies. At my work we use them for the manufacturing of medical devices, but ours are 355nm UV, so that’s probably why they’re used as opposed to a direct diode given that they’re might not be a direct diode option for that wavelength. Thanks for the video!
thank you, what was the device that you used to measure the effectiveness of the glasses? does this prove safety? I would like to test some films from a chinese supplier when making an enclosure for a blue diode module 405-450NM thanks
I absolutely LOVE my Dual 190-540+610-760 eagle pair. I’ve been teaching my girlfriend about lasers and she’s been getting into it more and more but that still doesn’t stop her from hitting my goggles atleast once or twice with a 1w+ laser while playing around in the laser room
When did she leave you?
Does the color of the light determine the color of the glasses?
So what would cause a green laser to change color on contacting a surface? I have this orange felt if you shine the laser on it it turns the laser light white on contact, And the light reflected from the laser off the felt is white. Why dose this happen, I genuinely don't know? The laser dot stays the same color on every other material regardless of color, or texture. But as soon as it touches the orange felt it turns the light white on contact even cause the glare reflected off to turn white.
Element 115. 😆
Hello, are the laser bar code scanners used at grocery stores dangerous if they are pointed at our eyes? Thank you.
Wow! Dark sunglasses did way better than I expected
What a great Channel! Instant subscriber seems like you really got screwed by the YT algorithm with such low views for such a great Channel.
What you can add on this topic : What wavelength can shoot the longest distance. I know the answer but many people don't
What’s the answer cause I don’t?
I have 5mW will it work for me?
output doesnt matter of course it will work haha
