Welcome to Plumbing Trade Calculations!!
God bless you for sharing this information! Thank you so much!!
How did you mage to make this so confusing.
how about 2" ABS DOUBLE 90 ELBOW?
very nice! thx a lot!
Very thorough! Thank you!
That bathroom group on the right is wrong. That toilet has to be the last fixture if it’s to be wet vented . So the floor drain needs to be tied in before the wc
I gotta check the code A double wye on its back is better than a double combo And i know double combos cannot be used vertically
This video is worth a lot of money.
There’s a San tee,eye or combo but no such thing as a tee wye. You’re combining two separate terms.
Clickbait
Very well explained.
Thank u sir for the help i am going for plumbing in alberta
Thank you very much appreciate you for your videos
Could of fill it out as an example
confusing explanation vs. his "drawing"
Great video! Thanks for the information
Everything has a science to it..
Thank you so much for sharing. This video is so helpful. I am wondering if you have online courses for teaching new students in cananda ?
I wish they had videos of people going over plumbing code
Awesome! Just completed my assignment and used your video as references for my mistakes, thanks again Edward!
Great video Edward! Im working on writing my CFQ and this definetly helps with the visuals! Subscribed. Which building code do you refer too in your videos? Im currently working under the OBC
The OBC, keep in mind there are changes coming soon. Most likely in January 2025z
@@edwardlogan5428 Can't be too much! I just showed my class your videos for additional help!
Excellent video. Thank you
I believe you got confused a bit, although in theory yes you do want a slope on those branches leading up to the wye T, when you add an off set like that 45 you are exceeding the fittings purpose. In other words if you had a branch glued directly to a wye you could only slope a certain amount in order to glue them together without causing a leak, therefore the wye fitting could be slightly sloped but not enough to break the plane. Picture a combo wye, if you would have used one it is still limited to how much you could rotate it. Maybe you meant to do it maybe you didn't but you created your own combo wye, that was really the problem. I hope this made sense. And for those saying that it would siphon the traps, it's really more about waste water running faster than the actual waste and the branch not being properly washed.
I never would have guessed gutters and downspouts would fall under plumbing design. 😮
Holds water so yes
Dangit, i really hope you're still teaching somewhere. I've been soaking up you're videos for the past few hours and you have impressed me. I imagine you've got a pretty good rating on Rate My Professor. 😊 My youngest is currently a freshman in college. Her trig teacher started the first class bragging about his 30% pass rate and told the kids to not with of they get a bad grade in his class because after they graduate it won't even matter. If I didn't work at the very same university, I'd have paid him a visit already. This is where tenure fails us...
3:37 i had to back track to hear what you said because I read the formula as A=offset÷advance...
This was a fun problem.
I can't think of any reason I will need to calculate anything like this. I watched the video simply for the joy of learning. I understood it right up until 9:19 when it comes to calculating the length of B,E,H. Where do you get the "Offset" number? The term offset is used throughout the video, but i don't think it's defined. Also, right in the last few seconds you introduce the term "Advance" without defining it. It appears these videos are too supplement what you taught during an in- class lecture, so perhaps your target audience is already supposed to know those terms. I've been enjoying your series of videos. I landed here because I'm redoing plumbing that a "handyman" did during a bathroom remodel. There's a veritable plethora of code violations from horizontal hard 90° turns, Sani-Tees lying on their back, and S-traps under the sink and tub. Good times.
The previous video with the narration made much more sense than this one! 😅
Try this one.... th-cam.com/video/k4r3Kpj8YAQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=34o3aItskC4BBUp5
14:41 you mention two 45° need to be separated by 12" of pipe in order to make a 90° horizontal bend. Does the distance requirement between the two 45° change depending on pipe diameter? Or is it 12" for any dia pipe.
I wondered the same thing. Can't imagine on a 2" pipe there needs to be 12 inches.
on a very very large scale application, how do you plumb for far distances given the supposed curve of the earth??
Shouldn't matter since the force of gravity curves with the Earth's surface if that makes sense
@@domiinstallatie absolutely not
There is no curve!
@@charging7 ah yes, flat earth :P
How would I do an isometric of a 2 story with 12 fixture units to scale?
Hey Logan I’m working on a project with Parallel off sets and a few other offsets i have most of it down but I’m confused on a few other parts as they only give you so many measurements, If theres anyway you could help me i could send you the plan and what i have so far- thanks
Cud i use a double y upside for venting?
Could you do a drain plan of a bathroom etc
Check my video entitled Drain Plans
I appreciate that you've covered most all the different fittings. I was concerned about the sweeping wyes and the siphon effect. Something that might be helpful on your diagrams is to show the viewing direction of the fitting installed drawings on the stick diagrams.
🔥
Thank you!!!! I wasn't sure whether to buy a T or a sanitary T. You answered my question!
👎👎👎 I boo your video sir
I appreciate this sir!!
CROSSTHREAD ED
waaaay too close for comfort
Thank you.
This is extremely helpful! My wife and I are turning our first floor closet into a half bathroom but we just failed our plumbing inspection because we used the wrong fitting - should have used a wye instead of a ty. It all makes sense now after watching this. Thank you!!
Is there a way to download this document?
Do u have a document u can share?
Painful
Is this IPC OR UPC?
God bless you, sir. Just a perfect video of the exact info I 2as looking for!
