good video, thanks. just wondering, what if that nugget was 6 inches down?
@@farmerbob139 my pleasure! In the last demonstration (I think it was the last, been a minute) the bigger nugget was down under that rock and the larger coil couldn’t hear it but the smaller one could, so that would be about the same as if it were in the ground at depth. That little coil is just super hot and also agile for getting in the tight spots. I think there are multiple depth test videos out there as well, and the larger coil doesn’t seem to add much, if anything, and is surely harder to hear and locate the tiny gold with. Now, if it were a super flat dream land, and big nuggets everywhere… clean up with the big coil because why not. But from what I’ve found, there’s a lot of small bits to be found between them big pieces, and then big ones are surely fewer and further between. Best luck out there!
Thank you for this tutorial i guess 5"is the way to go i have made a perfect order. Thanks again.
@@martinchimfwembe5613 I’m glad to hear that it helped! Best luck out there with your new machine. Coil to the soil, dig em all!

Fun video! Can't wait for the polish video! Thanks for sharing with us!
@@spencerpearson3688 I’m not sure I can make a polish video for them. I’ve tried flat stuff on the cab king but unless it’s domed, I can’t ever get a polish to fully take. I have a jenky flat setup, but the result with that aren’t stellar either. Currently talking to my buddy about his setups and maybe having him polish this round. Thanks for tuning in!
We need to put some pressure on one of the lapidary equipment manufacturers on your behalf. Maybe it would make sense for them to sponsor you if you decide to do more of these type of videos. Let us know. Thanks again!
@@spencerpearson3688 oh gosh! I dunno if I’m at that ladder rung just yet, but it would be pretty cool! I have a Cabking 6” but I don’t have all the fancy accessories. A nice flat lap sure would be fun as well!
@waywardwoodward I've thought about the CK 6 for my beginner level. Does it not work well for your application? I guess I need to do some research. What kind of accessories are out there?
@@spencerpearson3688 it works great! I’m finding more so on actual cabs, anything domed or rounded over, and smaller cabs around an inch are a flash to make. I run into issues on anything I want truly flat, like a cut top shelf Fairburn that you wanna keep the matching patterns and not dome or take more material than you need. They make a side flat lap for it but mine is about toast. That would be best for the true flat cuts and probably best to just have each flat wheel grit all the way up through. I just haven’t gotten that far on the list. And then I wonder if I should just get a flat lap setup dedicated for the process I need it for. Overall, I’m just kinda playing around and having fun.
So awesome! Thanks for sharing!
