Please dont put your head over the carburetor when starting a engine one back fire
awsome.i am restoring a modle 92
Good job....I have a 16hp about ready to rebuild. It ran for 38 yrs.
Were the inside of the heads threaded to enable you to remove the muffler and use the pipe? I have an old Gilson tractor hydrostatic drive with the same engine, it's still running good. I had to change the coil once, and it was lots of fun, had to cut out a small part of the shroud so I could get to it and change it.
Yes they are threaded
Can you show a close up of the linkage to the carb idle?
What carburetor is on that thing? Thanks
It's the original carburetor to the engine
Hey what bearings do I need?
Did I see another old Packard in the weeds back there? It's hard to tell on the audio track, what is that ticking? An exhaust leak, or a lifter, or something else?
Yes there is I have a 1953 packard clipper 2 door back there it's a project and needs a lot of work but I will get too it one day. I think it's a lifter making that noise but it might be a exhaust leak I really can't tell myself sometimes it goes away
@@rescuerestorerepeat8500 If it goes away, it is probably an exhaust leak. Get a piece of hose pipe and put it in your ear to listen around with for an exhaust leak. A lifter can be heard with a screwdriver or metal rod held against the engine with the other end pushed up to the ear.
Ok I will try that thanks

I am putting engines on my different David Bradley walk behind tractors. They used model N's on some models and i currently have 4 i believe. Sourcing parts is difficult but i keep digging.
USPS is guaranteed to break things. Ask me how i know.
How about good afternoon, could you help me with the serial number of this engine?
Que tal buenas tardes, me podrían apoyar con el numero de serie de este motor
Nice tape job
Thanks
great video hope you are doing well
Thanks I am doing just fine just haven't had much time to make videos lately but I have a lot of good videos coming up soon
Put the NGK spark plug back in it. It is a much better plug than the new one you put in.
I actually put it back before I returned it to the owner thanks for the comment
I just picked up a similar mower. Hopefully it will be running soon. Do you know what year and model yours is? Also do you know the horse power?
This one was a 16 horse power and I don't remember what Year this one was
SlingBlade Chicken Tractor 2024! Theyz' Tricky!!!
question . . . what does it mean when i hear something kind of like a klanking from the top of the engine at the front ? it is a 18hp engine, it is a horizontal engine, like the one you have. i am hearing a klanking sound from the top front of the mower, that is where the electric pto clutch is. . . is the electric clutch bad ? or is it the govenor going bad? , or is the timing gear slot wollowed out a bit for mew to hear that sound?. kool mower by the way. lol always wanted to see one . i see one once on the sears floor in the mall, but could not arrord it. they wanted 10 k for it. not to mention the accories that was available for it at that time, what torque did you put on the bearing cap bolts ? how did you get the valve cap plates off ??? mine is stuck. what torque is the oil pan bolts ?, i think i might need to check them, and snug them up. . . if need be. what torque is the timing plate bolts ? plz do respond, i need to repair it for a friend.
The noise is probably the clutch hitting the bracket that keeps it from spinning it could be the cam bearings but it's probably the clutch the torque on the rods is 110 inch pound's there is not a torque spec for anything else but I go about 50 inch pound's on the timing cover and the oil pan. if you are taking about the valve keepers that hold the springs you will need a valve spring compressor do you want the part number for the valve spring compressor? I can look it up
As I've said before NGK!! NGK IS THE WAY! TO GO!! They are made in JAPAN AND USA!! E3 ARE CHINA! JUNK.
Check where the plugs are made in what country weather in the us or mexico or china then compare the outcomes might get a closer answer.
Ok I will look at that thanks
@@rescuerestorerepeat8500 sad to say but the maker's of products are just not as good as they use to be and the knock offs are all over the place (cheap) i say that but they are just as high priced and made cheaper. and the U.S is not on top of consumer compllaints from what is read.
@@rescuerestorerepeat8500 also this might help E3® Automotive spark plugs used for personal, family or household purposes are warranted to provide an experience of more power on less fuel, quicker starts and less fouling than competitive standard spark plugs, and to be free of defects in material or workmanship, for five years or 100,000 miles from the date of purchase. Awsome video
Thanks
This Case is almost identical to my fathers Case tractor, last time it was going was back in 1985-ish. The only difference is your rear hubs, they are spoke like, my fathers wasn't... All dealership tractor part prices are ridiculous now. I just got done putting clutch disc in my Kubota L3400dt, a two stage clutch setup with two clutch disc, $1000.00 for both, and that wasn't even the problem with my tractor, but since I had tractor apart I replaced them.....
Shite music spoils a reasonable video
Need to next time please ….put more effort and thought into your planned filming arrangement along with your camera angles and positioning … consider fixed positions …resulting in what would be at least for this viewer a much more enjoyable experience while visually assimilating the content of your film work… good content though… thanks
Thanks for the comment I try to do my best with the camera but you are right I need to get better angles sometimes it's hard because I am trying to stay out of everyone's way I will try to get better shots at the next show I think it will also help if I get a gimbal for my camera thanks for watching
live at the show very cool
Where would you find the points Gap the ignition Gap spark plug gap is there a source
You should be able to Google it and check but it should be .020 on the points and .025 for the spark plug gap
Running good!!
Put the fuel filter between the tank and the pump.
Many many years ago a guy I worked with restored old engines, and my favorite in his collection was this one. They have a certain mesmerizing quality about them, and while there was no washing machines to run with it, he did have an ice cream maker that he ran from it, doing carnivals and such occasionally. Very distinct design, and as it turns out, nothing to them lol. Good video, was always curious what was inside one.
Thanks for watching
good video
Thanks
Good afternoon. How much did it cost for your order from EBay
It was about $175
The words "Rare" and "Allis B" can't ever be used in the same sentence! Regards 🇬🇧 🇬🇧
Have a model c with leaky manifold gasket, thank u so much for your video, much help full.. mine only runs with almost full choke. God bless you.
Very good tutorial and documentation of the engine build. Mine has a rusty ign switch and no spark. When I unplug the pigtail from the switch it should have spark right? I haven't touched/cleaned the mag yet, but it is an electronic ign coil, correct? Thanks for the video.
nice collection good show
Thanks
👍
nice engine what would that have been used for
It's an springtooth harrow .
I know
I like that ol engine. It reminds me of my wife, she could cough, sneeze, fart, hiccup and burp all at the same time!
Do you have a seed plate in the bottom of those fertilizer hoppers? Those are fertilizer hoppers that you have the seed in. They are for fertilizer. Seed hoppers go go behind those hoppers with a plate in the bottom. That’s why the seed is so thick
Those are not the fertilizer hoppers those are the seed hoppers on this planter
@@rescuerestorerepeat8500 ok 👌
@@rescuerestorerepeat8500 👌
@@rescuerestorerepeat8500Moorefarmalls is correct. The hoppers you dumped the soybean seeds into are meant for fertilizer, not for any kind of seed.
Watch the video of me setting up the planter and you can see they are the seed hoppers the bottom part has the seed plates in it maybe the top part the hopper itself is for fertilizer but the bottom part is for seed not fertilizer thanks
take a while to plant 100 acres
I had a buddy just gave me the 246-247 corn planter I'm trying to find a plates in the manuals now after watching your video so I can set up for my corn and my soybeans as well I'm really you made this video this really helped me out more than you would know thank you again
Your welcome thanks for watching
Thank you. because for your video I have found the correct parts to fix my 1984 brigs & Stratton twin 18hp
I'm a Jersey guy. The content was very interesting. I did not know a plantar was so complicated. Also surprised about all the math figuring how many seeds to plant. I like the sound of the motor in the Ford tractor.
Thanks
Just found out about this channel i love to see these very old and small tractors
Thanks for watching
Really curious about those carbide valve seat cutter kits that come with the same cutter as what you used. Looks like it worked pretty well to me. Are the kits actually worth the money?
Yes they are worth the money in my opinion I have been using them allot and they really work great on everything I have used them on
@@rescuerestorerepeat8500 Glad to hear it. This is the only video I could find that showed someone using this style of cutter at all.
Thanks for watching
