Great video just got mine back together this was very helpful. I been riding without air for 3 years and this video was amazing
Does the fuel pressure regulator insert into the actual intake manifold?
Thanks buddy
Sorry, but your video very unprofessional, referring to some of the parts on the top of the engine to remove to be able to raise the engine far enough up, referring to removing “this thing” Not very helpful when you referring to Parts as “this thing” Also, talking about showing whether it’s an ambulance or not was another waste of time. Video unstable, shaky, and to dark. 55 years of professional experience myself watching videos, like this is scary to some extent Can’t see anything practically
@@BrianHenry-s9x Thanks for the feedback, will work on that in future vids. Have a nice day, let me know if you have any questions that I didn’t answer for you in the video.
I took my Explorer to a mechanic because it jerks and he asked me for spark plugs, coils, battery. Transmission oil change, Air valves, Oxygen sensors, Engine mount, Transmission mount. Now I see your video and I think that may be my problem.
I hope the mechanic didn’t make you fix something that your vehicle didn’t need, I agree with you because this does sound like the common problem that you’re dealing with. Let me know how it goes.
@@advancedbackyardmechanicthank you do you have the link what I need to buy
From the moment this clown starts the video it's a joke. I can't believe anyone who has seen an average one would make a piece of trash like this dude's.
I have a 1995 S10 and I keeps on blowing the fuse for the fuel pump. Could this be my problem. I'm going to check it tomorrow. I hope this is my problem thanks in advance for this video ✌️
Yes that’s most likely your issue.
@@advancedbackyardmechanic yes fixed the problem. I've been driving it for two weeks no more fuses popping. Thanks again.
@@alfredrevis1876 your welcome Alfred, glad I was able to help you.
What about the transmission additive that ford started using
It’s always helpful to use an additive, I use Lucas products.
Gotta do this on a 2002 explorer today . Thanks man straight to the point!
Thanks I’m glad it helped
It could be easier yes, however I didn’t have way to remove the bed, if you do then yea.
Need to do this, would it be easier to take the bed off to get to the fuel pump?
What's the trick to getting that center bolt out and what is it attached to on other side of mount bc I can only see from the back on trans side
There is a nut that on some that are welded on and some are just a nut I think it was a 19 or 20 mm I forget it’s been a few years. But you want to take some weight off of the bolt by jack up on the transmission pan using a block of wood and once you get the bolt loose use a punch to push it through from the front.
@@advancedbackyardmechanic ok thank you and mines a f250 4wheel and sure they are probably built close to the same at least on that aspect 24mm for nuts on the studs and center. I also ended up getting a floor jack. That bracket above motor mount u said has to come off and lastly when jacking it up are you gonna get to a point where you feel like something isn't right bc you've cranked on it to where you would think it should come out by now?
Can this be done with a 2ton bottle jack🤷🏽♂️
Yes with a block of wood
How did you find out wad bad
You need to test for power and ground at the pump prior to replacing it. I would google a fuel pump wiring diagram/schematic to figure out which wire is supposed to have power and which one is suppose to be ground. And you will also have an initial prime wire that only gets power for 3-5 seconds then shuts off that is the initial prime the pressure to start the vehicle. That’s where I’d start.
Peace of 💩. Man I love the way they sound but they suck to work on. Deal breaker for me😅 just to replace that one little part you have to tear all of that off
Anyone know what code it came up as>
That's the cylinder not the switch
Correct, that is the most common problem with these trucks, the key looses connection with the body control module.
You don t tell anyone where it is located. Different locations for 550
That was in back by the fuel tank, this was an ambulance, so might be under drivers door area for regular pickup. It will be along the frame.
To be in park or neutral
Park should be fine for this one.
What size socket do I use for the Main Long Bolt that goes threw the Motor Mount ? Its One in Each Motor Mount!
It’s been a few years but I think it was a 18 or 19 mm for the bolt and the nut is 19-20mm maybe 21mm and I think the best is to use a combination wrench.
Can you be more specific than “this little solenoid here”, what is it?

This guy is lost, everything about this whole video from camera work to work Everything here is a Mess... Good luck Here!!
I do appreciate the feedback, even though I was a mess in this I am still providing a lot of value that has helped a lot of people, I hope it helped you at least, have a nice day!
Bad viedo bro..
I appreciate the feedback, so what would have made it better for you?
If you have smaller hands you’ll see that you dont need to take all that off just take that first pipe that’s on your y bridge right in front of your turbo it’s easier then taking everything apart
I did try to get that out prior to removing it, but I made it easier for me and cleaned everything up while I was in there anyway. But absolutely if you can save a step by all means that’s great advice @paytonsepulveda5555
Totally understand I took more off to i just said it cause it’s possible and people might not wanna do all the extra
Short and sweet. Gonna try this thanks for the info.
Awesome, let me know if you have any questions.
I javelin decent pressure at rail, had been running great, burnt a plug wire on #4, pulled it out of the way and ran 100, cruising down the road after work. Lost all spark at 60mph.(gauge was still at 14.2v, rpms just fell out) no block window lol. "Finger checked" indeed no spark. New coil/icm- no spark, every relay+ fuse in driver door and main box replaced, new cap/rotor...still no spark...gun in mouth at this point lol
Check power to coil, check for injector pulse and start there. If you have power to coil then ohm the coil out might have went bad. After you get some results let me know.
Is it on the ground? Is that why half the video is filming the ground?
Are you asking if you have to do this on the ground? If so the answer is yes you have to go under the car for this procedure, if not please specify your question and I will do my best to answer.
@@advancedbackyardmechanic thanks bro

How do you fix that on a 2015
2015 GMC Denali diesel,6.6 turbo diesel
How bout a2015
What were the symptoms they were having with it?
It would make a loud banging noise when you gave it gas and let off.
You just saved me 20 hours of bs. Thank you sir.
Your welcome, glad I could help out.
The threads pulled out because you used a standard bolt, in a metric threaded hole.
Can i just drain it and add fluid. Or do i have to buy a new oil pan and filter as well
Yes absolutely, but my question to you would be why are you considering changing the fluid in the first place, are you experiencing slipping? Does the fluid smell burnt? How many miles are on the vehicle? If you answered yes to any of these questions then it would be best to change the filter. If the vehicle has over 100k I’d say for sure replace the filter. So if you don’t want to change the filter, you don’t have too, but if your going to not change the filter and only change the fluid, I would recommend getting a quart of Lucas transmission anti slip fluid and replace one of the quarts you add and replace with the Lucas. Hope that helps.
Your a bad MF. Saved me a hella money and time labor!
That’s awesome to hear that’s why I do these. Thank you.
That is not a 6.4
Thanks I fixed it, I was working on a 6.4 that same day of the video.
Do you pull the tube off while the vehicle is running?
Yea because you want to see if it is coming out of that nipple or not.
This was a great video can you make more like this please 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thanks for the support. Have a great day
Is there a way to do that when the key wont turn at all? Mine is stuck and wo t turn forward enough to push the button
Try to get a pair if visa grips and lock them on the key, then turn the steering wheel back and forth while turning the key, other than that, the only other thing is to drill it out without messing up the cylinder. You might try to google how to remove cylinder if key won’t turn maybe someone out has dealt with that before, maybe someone has a trick to it, I just used a drill and a screw driver and was very careful.
Bout to try this today. Didn’t realize there was a filter and gaskets to replace too. I hope that’s easy
If the bolts don’t break off when you take them out then it’s easy. That was the problem I had with that particular vehicle.
My key It’s not want to turn my Tumblr any suggestions
Try to use a pair of plier to get it to turn while wiggling the steering wheel, I would do that to remove the tumbler not to continue to use the switch, I would for sure replace that one
They put dipsticks in the mustangs but not the explorer, what a joke
I know I am a Ford guy but Ford F’d this one up.
What to do if key won't turn at all
What is causing it not to turn, is the steering wheel locked? Or is the ignition just broke? If ignition is broke I would try to wiggle the steering wheel just in see the steering lock is holding it and at the same time turn the key with a pair of pliers to give you a better grip. Let me know if that helps.
Wiggle , jiggle Used a older key without the fob and gave it a smack nothing !battery is charged , lights come on doors lock and unlock !
@@genelalone696 what happens is the key has a resistance depending on what number it was assigned I think it’s like 1-15 or something like that, anyway if that gets worn out over time and stops making good connections within the key lock cylinder, then the computer thinks the car has been stolen and doesn’t allow it to start, so the problem your having is probably in the key lock cylinder being bad, therefore it cannot communicate with the computer to tell the computer the correct key is in the ignition or that the car isn’t stolen, that part on your vehicle is bad or the key itself has gone bad, you would need to get a new ignition lock and tumbler set from the dealer, they will have to build it from the old one you have in the vehicle now. Hope that helps, let me know if you have any other questions.
@@advancedbackyardmechanic Can I remove the ignition and use a screwdriver ? As long as I don’t leave the fob in it it can’t be stolen ? Truck is rusted pretty good but has a v plow that the stickers aren’t wore off lol I got it for 1000$
@@genelalone696 no the computer can’t see the key, it has to see the correct resistance to see the key, I have in the past built a pass that had that exact resistance to tell the computer the key is in, but it took some figuring, and buying resistors. I would just get a new key, or go to a junk yard and get the key, switch, body control module and possibly computer from another vehicle, that would work, but cheaper and easier to just get a new lock and key from dealer
Thank you so much! I live in Europe and own a 2012 F250. As regular ford dealerships don't know s..t of the USA models we're depending on local USA car-importer/dealers who know how to fill their wallets. Just today i had my lock stuck and thanks to you can solve the problem myself. Thumbs up for your clear instructions.
Your welcome, glad we could help you. Have a great new year.
😣 𝓟Ř𝔬𝓂𝔬𝐒ϻ
Cool, thanks
Do you need to have your explorer on when pumping the fluid back in?
No, I would just add 3-4 quarts to start then start it if the fluid is coming out it full if not you need to add more. Once you have 3-4 quarts in it you can then leave it running if you want but I would just add 4 to start then start it up and check it if not coming out that fill hole I would screw that nipple back in with it hooked to the hose cause when you shut it off it will pour out that hole, but put another 1/2-1 quart in it and start it again, once fluid come out the hole when running it is full, oh one more step I would add is put in 4 quarts start it up and run it through the gears, reverse/drive, reverse/drive, then check it again. Let me know if you have any other questions.
That’s a 2011 6.7 not a 6.4
Thanks I fixed it
