31-Day Korean Wall Clock Movement
มุมมอง 12K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Hello viewers, this video I am showing you the 31-day movement of my Anco wall clock. I wouldn't recommend buying clocks like these as a collector, because they have no value, are cheaply made, and they are not considered antiques. Also, If you don't have any experience working with clocks, do not try to service this movement yourself. The springs inside of a 31-day movement are very powerful a...

This Clock was made by the Owari Clock Company in Japan, probably sometime between 1896-1906. The movement is very similar to American Kitchen clock movements of the time.

Fixing the Mauthe Clock (Crutch Adjustment)
Were you wearing a shirt
Which screw is for which function?
Thats awesome Ive never seen one like it!
Mine isn’t working after putting new battery in, I followed the instructions and can’t get the collar back down and the back.. it’s puzzling.
Except it wasn’t going in the film, I watched it and the second hand didn’t move. I have one here, it is hard to close the back over the battery and plastic collar then the clock back.
Question...does anyone know if there is a way to quiet the chime a bit? I have an Ansonia and it is super loud!
What on gods green earth is going on with the escape wheel gear pivot covered in gunk that stuff acts like sand paper to the pivots id be shocked if it’s still working today
Thank you for the information on the clock. Now I know what the F/S stands for on the face of my clock.
yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Shes a beauty❤
Thank you 😊
Beautiful clocks
If you wanted to fix the spring for sentimental reasons (in my case 🥴) how do you suggest going about it?
Love this!
I too have a bim bamb clock it's an English one. I found it.really easy to take.the movement out for oiling cleaning etc.
Good collection lad. Keep.going and.please.learn how.to.service and repair them.and.maintain them.😊
Also if you can watch some videos on how to put the clock back in the correct beet. Good video by the way😊
Well if you know so much about mechanical clocks why not try for an apprenticeship in watch and clock.making. Its a really great career and is a skill that is in high demanded all over the world. 2:32
These cheap modern 31 Day Clocks never cease to amaze me! I have loads around the house that I bought years ago when I used to buy them before I was wealthy and couldn’t afford better quality, but to be honest, ALL the cheap Wall Clocks I have are still running after 30 years, without ever having been repaired or Serviced! Many expensive Clocks I find are more prone to faults, and need more expensive Servicing more regularly. One of these cheap Clocks I paid just £29 from the Seaside brand new - still going today, and it’s now been running for 32 years, and it’s one of the most accurate Time Pieces I have! Not sure how they do it! (even better than my Omega Watch that cost £4,500.00p!!) Not all cheap stuff is rubbish - but some expensive stuff is!
Just bought one for $40 runs perfect… thanks for the info… 1940’s new how to build things to last back then.
I need to know where the pendulum rod hangs on this clock
Can you send me a pic of the top of the pendulum rod so I know where it hooks

We've had the same "Berkeley" model for over 50 years now. It kept good time on the mantel over the fireplace at our home on the coast of Maine for many years. It's pretty much a member of the family. I hope your aware that these Sessions spring wound clocks are infamous for having weak ratchet pawl "Clicks," and it's very wise to carefully inspect them before winding. The pawl, or "Click" fails to engage with the teeth of the ratchet and the powerful spring will back spin the key no matter how firm a grip you have on it and can easily remove a thumbnail - and bloody your fingers. It's happened to me and some 30 years later I'm still a little paranoid whenever I wind ours. I often use a special let-down tool when fully winding ours! Great clocks, and they have a pleasant chime. Enjoyed seeing yours, thanks for sharing...
I’m not sure if you are still active but I wanted to ask a question. I have a Lenox Minuet clock. I changed the battery and now can’t get the face to stay in. I don’t see any clips to hold it in place. Any suggestions?
Wats mar counselling
The chimes won’t turn on
Yeah….cuz he didn’t chime the clock
Sometimes my clock rings 17 times at the 8. Does it just needs to be cleaned?
Do you know where I can find good repair instructions the one my dad left stopped ringing
You should hear the church bells ringing where I am they’re beautiful, I can hear them most evenings and on Sunday 🛎
Hi, I was given one of these, almost identical but I don’t know how to set the proper chimes! Dii ok you have a video on that
Very nice !!!
You are a cool TH-camr of Clocks dude!!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉
You literally set up a whole clock collection at noon🤨
Why not rebuild it? Typical young gens, buy & toss, buy & toss over & over again. Geez! Ever wonder why your Briggs engine isn't built to last 30yrs anymore? In an interview the president of Briggs was asked "Why new Briggs won't last decades anymore & so many have no oil drain plugs?" He stated "Today's young gens don't want to change oil/maintain anything but prefer to toss it out & buy another new one instead". So now your small Briggs are built to last a few seasons. Fact: Briggs absolutely loves you people! My oldest mower is a 1976, newest is a 1988 & they run like new still. I buy a few quarts of oil every spring, you guys spend thousands every few yrs and soon you'll be buying a new throwaway mower every season, just wait thats whats coming. Another Fact: They are built to match todays college kids (young gens) surveys! Meaning you asked for it!
Can you make a video and teach me how to rebuild this kind of 31-day Korean-made clock? I do have a wall clock similar to this video that needs to be serviced. I believe the massive mainspring is very dangerous.
massive spring and common boring clock
Thanks for your help winding my clock
Do you have an image of the back of the dial, I'm very puzzled by how it attaches to the staples on the front?
How do you open the door ?
❤❤
I have this clock. Mine gongs rapid fire on the hour. Any idea how to fix this?
Sounds almost like my junghans
Thank you! I will save your channel for future use. You saved me money and allowed me to fix my favorite little clock!
Thank you for this video. I needed the battery info...
Is there somewhere I can buy a new plug for the battery compartment? Mine just crumbled to pieces.
Serious question what happens if that battery cover was like sealed shut and I pretty much had to break the grey piece to get it off and now I need another one cause it looks scratched up and chipped? I can’t find replacement battery covers so far
I was just given a session clock. I can get it to chime at the right time now. But only manually. It will not work on its own. Both winding are fully wond. The right one would not let me wind at all. Can you help
The second pendulum is not moving in its own
There is also a L shape thin wire with a bend in the end told the L like a hook. I found this in the bottom of the clock.
Your clock are so good to your clocks collection❤
