Tactical visualisation: rehearsing specific events such as a sales presentation, a running race or a basketball free throw. I think we've all seen the research which proves the efficacy of mental rehearsal. I certainly wouldn't have survived military flying training without effective tactical visualisation.
Strategic visualisation: 'watching' yourself in your desired future state. Playing the 'movie' of your future successful self over and over again, both in the first and third person perspective.

During his 15 years in the Royal Australian Air Force, Jason served as an F-18 fighter-pilot and instructor.
