I was about to place pre-order but did not find India as country option.

I hate my phone, I hate using it, It's so invasive and obtrusive. This is a design I have only dreamed about. Congrats on the success, hope y'all continue to climb.

Not only does it look cheap and looked outdated technology but they can't even get this to the market on time.

I jumped on this when I saw it! I can’t wait. I’ve been sitting on my iPhone SE waiting for something like this. I don’t want another android or iPhone, I want a phone and iPod combined and that’s it. Give me great battery and e-ink display and I’m definitely all in. Be patient, it will take time for the masses to migrate but it will happen. This isn’t a ‘dumb’ phone and comments about that are completely missing the point. Dumb phones can’t text or play music.

What makes this phone better? You can't sell a phone without basic information. The screen color in your hand, looks very old. Very confusing.

As much as I love my and appreciate the e-ink display in my cheapo e-book reader it's absolutely atrocious task to use in a device, that needs dynamic user interaction like a smartphone. This demo only proves my point and the fact that such device with cheap components is priced at 500USD is laughable. For this to work you need to make it as cheap as possible to justify its purpose i.e. being a low-tech break from your smartphone with a nostalgic twist. The initial user enthusiasm on people in the comments will quickly turn into very understandable and angering frustration when you realize you have to use such frustratingly slow device on a daily basis for anything other than reading texts.

I tried to pre order one. Not possible in India. What can be done?

I wouldn't say great but for the tech being used it is damn good. I am definitely interested especially at the price point but with access to apps I feel I will still use them too much.

Here's a Q: when do these ACTUALLY start shipping? I understand pushing the shipping date back with a Kickstarter project like this. I respect the work you guys put in to make this happen. But the only thing holding me back from pre-ordering is the fact you keep pushing the date back with a last-minute notice. Plus it's very hard to find updates about what the company is actually up to, very low transparency.

this is a really nice vision come true. I hope the next version has a more compact design. A phone similar to BB classic Q20 but running android and with E-ink display. That's a dream come true!

Why is the Werbespot not minimal ? Just without Musik 🎶 just with Bird singing or grashoper sound instead of Musik in the free wild waterfall Camping fire Grass trees instead of this i phone like Werbespot Video . Or you could Show a minimal home a little bit more boring is not bad today because everything is colorful today in the stores every CD have a Cover with some artist on it if one Cover is just nothing on it it is imideatly visible on all this colorful covers . What does tell me the Werbespot it tell me im a boring phone with some epic spot with rocknroll yeahh rocknroll rockstar ...

just DON'T MAKE IT COST like a smartphone. Because the minimal phone has less to offer, it should Cost CONSIDERABLY LESS, say 10% of the price of the average midrange smart phone. The whole world is waiting to actually see what you people are, the way u charge your phone will expose your real intentions
