The version of the game for Sega DreamCast also has the same soundtrack as on ps1 and also good graphics and works great, without a normal soundtrack is only ps2 version of the game, although it seems that the version for windows also has no soundtrack.

Yeah, I've noticed that too. Fan studios try to keep the spirit of the original as much as possible when creating such remakes, but they still emphasize the modern audience, so the choice falls on this musical style, it's not the first time and quite a common practice in remasters or remakes of old games. Easy? I wouldn't say that =). As far as I am a crazy fan of survival horror genre and control in such games as Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Dino Crisis and other similar games for me is already a matter of habit and is not a problem, but the control in the trilogy Alone in the Dark really tested me and I several times wanted to give up this idea, but I wanted to familiarize myself with this franchise and had to get used to this control. It was very difficult, but I managed, and honestly I didn't regret it, if you get used to it, all the games of the trilogy are great.

Well here the man rather meant the number 4 part of the franchise but as far as I know there is no such thing, and super castlevania IV despite the name it's kind of a remake of the first game. A heavily remade remake, but still a remake. I am sincerely glad that you are still able to pass games on the original game consoles, I lost my skills and passing those games, which I as a child passed many times, now cause me certain difficulties, but there is a way out and in this case very helpful emulators with quick saves and downloads, and here too there are advantages, emulators gives a much better image than the original console and TV, so for me it is an opportunity to replay my favorite games from the old consoles.

Agreed, but he made Sypha into the show version. She was a witch with the church, not a Speaker. The plot is the same, the locations are the same, the bosses and enemies are the same, the mechanics are already slightly changed, which is typical for remaster versions. @@GoodGamesLab Then this is a revision, not a remaster if he changed key elements. Also this would be a remake given it's not made on the same hardware, remasters just come with improved visuals. Remakes are a game being remade on new tech or platform with the possibility of additions to the original. This was always understood to be the definitions until modern AAA games started bending it to alter content because of DEI involvement. Do games age out when people still play them? Liberties where taken with a certain character that goes against lore. The last two games were perfectly fine in that regard.

@@GoodGamesLab Given the quality of the game, I'm comfortable thinking of it on the same terms of an actual release. Konami certainly hasn't done it. That's not the definition of e remake. You said you understood it, but then creative your own. It doesn't mean it has to become a different genre, because that's a genre change. Shadow of the Colossus had a remake on a new system, Resident Evil 1 had a remake, Spyro and Crash had remakes; they all fit the definition of a remake when some jumped from PS1 to PS4 and PS5. Lord of Shadow was a reboot; it changed genre and changed the lore, so it was an entirely new thing using familiar elements. I've never met anyone that complained about music unless orchestration taking away character from a game. There's nothing stuffy about why words mean specific things. I think people create their own ideas on things when they don't know or have limited knowledge on it. Remaster and remake were used in film prior decades and decades back and when games adopted it there was never an issue in distinction. I have no idea why in recent years people seem to have issues such as this.

I'll be honest, I have no idea. Probably you, as well as most of my viewers, understand this issue much better than I do, because I first discovered the castlevania series of games.

The voice is probably just similar, it's unlikely the fan studio has the funds to hire a voice actor.

I don't think I got hit by any axe during this fight at all, maybe it's a bug, or maybe this particular hit didn't count for some reason, I have no idea. It would be weird if a fan game was polished perfectly and didn't have any bugs.

It's a small fan project not “AAA” so it seems to me that the voiceover is done with AI, though.... There are not so many characters in the game, unlike Chronicles 2, and so if there is a team, they could do the voices themselves. And does it really matter? If the voice acting is done more or less well and allows you to enjoy the game without reading subtitles.

For games that don't have dubbing I do dubbing myself, but in the case of Castlevania Chronicles III - Dracula's Curse, it was already here originally.
