I Charles Harrison started work in crewe works in 1955 the first locomotive i worked on was a beyer garret fitting ashpan door levers many steam engines on the franco crosti with a fitter replacing the high pressure boiler covers as a fitter worked on new build from shunters diesels hydraulics etc after i finished in 1999 i gave crewe herritage many photos of crewe works it was a sad day when the works shut except for the bogie shop

4th visit to Nantwich yesterday and finally got off a train there! Last 2 times I went there had to get the bus from Crewe as late arrival into Crewe & then cancellation of the Shrewsbury stopper last time...

It was appropriate that my journey to / from the Sealed Knot Battle of Nantwich included taking the Derby - Crewe line, nicknamed the Knotty🙂!

Seen one of the last XC HSTs through Chesterfield followed by the Colas / Network Rail "Flying Banana" a few minutes later. Saw a Colas 37 / Network Rail push pull at Derby while waiting for the Crewe train for the Battle of Nantwich last January. The return journey from Crewe - Derby on Holly Holy Day stopped at Peartree, the least used station in Derbyshire.

This is the 2 car class 142004 was on loan from NT - Northern to FGW - First Great Western from Monday 3rd December 2007 until Sunday 7th December 2008 was a short term loan. Alongside there were 4 other 4 x 2 car class 142 pacer trains 🚆 were also a short term loan as well to the county Devon in the southwest of England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 are 142028/062/067/070 happened until Monday 8th December 2008. Five of the 2 car class 142 pacer trains 🚆 were due to return back to the north of England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 is dated Friday 31st October 2008 however we’re delayed until early December 2008 because they had to stay slightly longer than planned because the class 143s, 150s, 153s and 158s took a long time 🕰️ to be refurbished and repainted into the FGW - First Great Western local lines livery. Now in the southwest of England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿, it’s called GWR - Great Western Railway 🚃 since September 2015 for almost 😅 8 years ago this September which it’s next month. The reason why class 142004/028/062064/067/070 weren’t wearing the First Group seats 💺 because they were left wearing the musty seats 💺 that they were a short term lease to the southwest of England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 for over a year from December 2007 to December 2008. The other 2 car class 142 pacer trains 🚊 were a medium term lease to begin with that they were due to return back to NT - Northern on Wednesday 30th June 2010 however were delayed until both separate months are October and November 2011 for over a year. Class 142001/009/029/030/063/064/068 were a long term loan from NT - Northern to FGW - First Great Western happened from Monday 3rd December 2007 until late ⏰ 2011. On Wednesday 19th October 2011, class 142029/064 went back to the north of England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 from the southwest of England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 and over a month later 👋, 5 x 2 car class 142 pacer trains 🚊 went back to the north of England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 on Sunday 27th November 2011 are 142001/009/030/063/068 and were replaced by class 150s cascaded from defunct train 🚊 company LM - London Midland, now it’s called LNWR - London North Western Railway 🚃 since around November or December 2017. Because the delays of class 150s went to the southwest of England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 happened, class 172 turbostar trains 🚆 were late ⏰ being delivered to the West Midlands. In the past, class 142 pacer trains 🚊 were in Devon in the southwest of England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 were from 1986 to 1988 are 13 x 2 car class 142015-027 worn the chocolate 🍫 and cream livery.
