Down at Crewe works, where the engines roar Steel and smoke fill the air, like never before The sweat and toil of the working man Built this town on the industrial plan Crewe works, where dreams are made And the sound of progress never fades Where the hammers clang and the wheels turn Crewe works, the heart of the land Where the hands of labor make their stand From dawn 'til dusk, the work neve...

are you interested in selling these horns? im a hardcore 317 collector😅 with plenty of 317 parts
Very professional video, brings back memories ex traction motor chap
thank you i'm glad you like it :)
How the mighty are fallen....just like Donny,Derby, Eastleigh,Ashford but now we buy from overseas what a sad state this once proud nation has become
@@daystatesniper01 have you heard about the event that’s going to happen at derby works?
@@Crewecabking Yes the so called "Great Gathering" to celebrate Rail 200 , on paper this could be the biggest collection ever to appear at a open day
Love this song and love the Artwork
Nice set of Fletchers blocks. Great to see them performing their functions in the 21st century, typical LNWR robustness. Not the only instruments in the room, guitar noted behind the frame!!!
At least they use a Cloth! Shame the levers aren't as shiny as West's tho xD
Very true fortunately I do have more signal box visits coming up
@ oooh! I might see you then!
That was most enjoyable Tom, and a nice change to highlight these wonderful signal boxes you have visited, hope your doing fine, good work oh and great backing too👍👍cheers Nick.
Hi nick I’m glad you enjoyed it the signalmen were most welcoming they offered me tea which I couldn’t resist saying yes to
Carmarthen?
Oh yeah that was what we love to hear & they are a beast!
Schmeler Courts
So the 507 is fully out of service now?
@@Cartoonman154 yes sir they are
@@Crewecabking Thanks. I thought they were coming onto the northern line. Shame.
@@Cartoonman154there are rumours that it is but I’m not sure if it’s confirmed or not
Brilliant video - the driver loves his tones!!! 😂😂
Thank you 😊I imagine Mersey rail will be getting massive amounts of complaints 😂😂
@@Crewecabking 😂😂 I hope not it was brilliant
What a idiot
Agreed shortly after the video was taken a train had arrived luckily it wasn’t a direct train as the speed limit is 60mph
What would you search for these horns?
the seller is ASFLparts on ebay
Thanks mate!
And how often do they post things on there sorry for the asking!
@@TJTrainsClass37 no worries they put stuff on at random times it depends when they get stuff from eastleigh

Fear the day you toot past actual Darth Vader and get force-choked because the noise gets annoying.
I Charles Harrison started work in crewe works in 1955 the first locomotive i worked on was a beyer garret fitting ashpan door levers many steam engines on the franco crosti with a fitter replacing the high pressure boiler covers as a fitter worked on new build from shunters diesels hydraulics etc after i finished in 1999 i gave crewe herritage many photos of crewe works it was a sad day when the works shut except for the bogie shop
It’s a shame they knocked the works down it would’ve made a fantastic museum piece showing people what Crewe was famous for
Great catch
Thank you 🙏
@@Crewecabking No problem
Wonderful video. What a great experience
Sam (the signaller on duty) was a nice chap despite getting slightly confused with the 2-3-2
Happy birthday !
thank you :)
4th visit to Nantwich yesterday and finally got off a train there! Last 2 times I went there had to get the bus from Crewe as late arrival into Crewe & then cancellation of the Shrewsbury stopper last time...
Nice one Tom I see all the drs 37s are going from York to Crewe today
unfortunately avoiding crewe station
Nice one
Good catch
Thanks

Satan the Devil on Laxatives
Now reduced to a shadow of it's former self due to privatisation, foreign ownership and TOC's/Leasing companies being allowed to buy foreign tat ! ! ! An utter disgrace 😢
GOD BLESS ALL RAILWAY MAN
Gelato, pizza, spaghetti, espresso, oh Bella Italia 🇮🇹
The world's greatest railway works, ruined by foreigner's..................................................😞😞😞😞
Ruined by greedy firms OUTSOURCING work to cheaper labour Blame British mismanagement not foreign workers All this happened under the misrule of the great patriot Thatcher.
An amazing place. Exhibited there a few times at open days. Thanks for putting it on.😊
I think I’ve seen you somewhere 🧐

All good thanks
They need more psi in there.
What PSI would you recommend
@@Crewecabking Depends how much your using because about 50 to 60 is probally the best.
@@class50thrasher the compressor I have is 100 PSI
@@Crewecabking it must be the pipes then.
did jake parkin go on the last HST with u im mates with him
Yes he was on it I was only with him from derby to Sheffield he got it from Birmingham to Leeds
It was appropriate that my journey to / from the Sealed Knot Battle of Nantwich included taking the Derby - Crewe line, nicknamed the Knotty🙂!
Seen one of the last XC HSTs through Chesterfield followed by the Colas / Network Rail "Flying Banana" a few minutes later. Saw a Colas 37 / Network Rail push pull at Derby while waiting for the Crewe train for the Battle of Nantwich last January. The return journey from Crewe - Derby on Holly Holy Day stopped at Peartree, the least used station in Derbyshire.
Awesome
Thank you
Amazing
