It should have some similar performance but be aware that the gpu thermal paste could be dried out because it’s a really old card. I recently bought the RTX 2080 Ti and saw the temps were too high so i replaced the thermal paste on it and now it works perfect.

@@simplebenchmarks sorry I responded late I would but as it my first build I’m trying to keep the cost down as I am also in the middle of moving so I have to get decor for my room I am also upgrading from the quest 2 to quest 3 😃

If you want the absolute best performance and don’t care about how the game looks, performance mode is the way to go.

Try turning background applications off, nvidia control panel optimization. Just some basic tweaking honestly

With a Ryzen 5 5600G and dual-channel memory in performance mode, you might reach close to 240 FPS in less demanding games, but in more intensive titles, it could struggle to consistently hit 240 FPS.

@ although i play other games a lot, i dont really care about other games, i just need 240fps in fortnite because 60hz just isnt fun. Im just looking for something smoother, because all of my other games feel alright. Fortnite is just not optimized well, especially for lower end pcs.

It’ll become difficult to hit that frame rate with the Ryzen 5 5600G

Cooler Master Hyper 212 RGB Black Edition. It’s a budget cpu cooler that performs quite well for mid end builds like this :)

most def a bottleneck. i have a friend who had that exact combo and he would get around 130-150 on low settings and around 100 during endgame which is horrible performance for low settings considering the GPU. I told him to get a 5800x3d and he now runs constant 240fps capped on low settings. So get a 5800x3d instead. fortnite is more CPU intense anyways so you'd want to have a beefy CPU

@@Omard851get 5600 domt waste money on 5500 , it has 16mb cache when 5600 has double of it and its better , 5600 gonna give you better fps than 5500

Should work pretty well with this cpu, you should get around 240 fps on performance mode but don’t forget to optimize/tweak ur pc for the best performance.

Could’ve been or the gpu thermal paste is dry so you should repaste it

With the right tweaks and performance mode you should be able to get +200 consistently :)

First of all optimization is key, second of all i’d check your temps while gaming because if it overheats it means it’ll downclock what results in stutters/fps loss and last and foremost the RTX 2070 Super i tested is one of the more expensive ones so it’s expected to perform better.

Someone else on the channel had the same cpu as you do and had worse fps. Fortnite heavily depends on cpu. Don’t forget i have one of the better rtx 2070 super cards.

Yes i would recommend you to go for atleast an Ryzen 5 5600 if you like AMD or go for atleast i5-13400f. But remember i used performance mode in this video with no background tasks running. Also i got one of the high end rtx 2070 super.

Make sure no background applications are running, update drivers, performance mode on laptop… The basics pretty much and if it’s still not working correctly try to search your issue on google/youtube
