The lighting theif feels so underrated in general
no joke, when i saw wicked live for the first time after only listening to the soundtrack for my entire life, i broke down sobbing in the theater when the first chord of the overture played because wicked is my favorite musical of all time
I went to see Wicked for the first time in London last summer and I was literally sobbing three notes into the overture because godDAMN I want to be in musicals, and Wicked is pretty much the reason why so hearing it live for the first time was so overwhelming. It took all of No One Mourns the Wicked, Dear Old Shiz AND The Wizard and I for me to pull myself together.
