That doomcal mat is pretty rare and expensive. I think last one I saw was mp going for $300+. Probably why you don’t see it. But wow it’s such a beautiful mat. Should def be more famous and used.

So like, In mermaid players defense, they are new at the deck. I'd argue the nerfed version of that deck is just as difficult to pilot as Spellbooks due to limited options that made it S tier. Also, that trap, can REALLY mess up a mermaid player if not played at the RIGHT moment. The funniest thing is when you send the special summoned monster on the field to the hand and the trap just ... stays face up and you cant activate spells (if its your turn). Good times lmao. Really, Mermaid player should have wiped CAT in this match legally. Still a fun watch!

I really feel you about building around deck dev. I think it just makes the deck a lot worse. Might need to concede game 1 deck dev. I’ve also been trying to make double E-call work. I tried removing mali edge for another alius to make the double e calls less dead. It’s really nice into Blackwing and some other matchups, but makes the mirror worse when you draw stratos before the ecalls

Man I’ve had the “do I set it or not” dilemma bite me hard. Game 3 against vayu, I make dupe lock and try to decide whether I want to set my transmigration prophecy or not. I decided not to because my hand was full of monarchs and I figured he most likely wouldn’t kill me.. But his hand was sirocco grepher vayu DAD fossil dyna and whatever he stacked for plague. Needless to say, I died
