Ooo I needed this list . Books to add to the list that I hopefully complete by 2055.
I really appreciated this. Thank you for putting the effort in.
Real question to everyone who harps on the "crisis" aspect: has there been any significant period in Church history where there ***wasn't*** a crisis?

Fascinating! Maybe you’re gonna mention this and my comment is jumping the gun but it seems related and also noteworthy that the word devil (diabolos) is also from the verb ballein, like symbol - so whereas a symbol is a throwing-together, the devil is that which throws-across or through (dia). Diaballein classically meant to slander
This was wonderful... Need more
This is brilliant
Dom, these really are the conversations everyone should be having surrounding the second vatican council and its relationship to the various topics involved (such as Mary here). It really shows how the council engaged certain modern questions while extending the tradition to address them AND deepening the Churches understanding of herself in the process. I also come from an SSPX background in that it was their ministry that initially cathechized me into the faith, but it was this kind of content that led me to a deeper and profound love of the Church and into the full expression of communion with her. Thank you.
Thank you for watching! 🙏
Sending this to my Evangelical parents 🤞
This is absolutely tremendous content. Thank you for your great service to aid the faithful in their understanding of the Church. God Bless!
Thank you! You’re welcome, thanks for watching 🙏
Amazing stuff guys!
I saw this live!
That was so long ago!
I love you Dom! You help my understanding so much! I also love our wonderful Papa Benedict xvi I try to work through 'introduction to Christianity'. There is so much wonderful stuff there, but i needd my head to be in top shape to work on th t book. No easy before bed read...so i'm happy to hear a smart cookie like you thinks the book is challenging too😁
I’m a recent subscriber to The Logos Project and really appreciate the focus on living a Liturgical life. As a father of young men living a devout life, I am so encouraged to see other young men who are thirsty to live a fully alive Catholic life.
Thank you!
Preach brother.
This is my new Home Screen!
There's always those keyboard warriors that gotta pipe up with full confidence and full ignorance
Not even within an instant of my posting of the TH-cam short on “subsistit in” do a couple neurotic radtrads jump to say that this “new” Church teaching implies that the Church of Christ is not the Catholic Church. But anyone even mildly acquainted with basic Catholic philosophy knows that subsistence refers to the existence of something within ITSELF and AS itself (not to the presence of one thing in some other thing). The blinding pride on display further confirms the fact that is by now widely known: these self-appointed online “experts” do not actually know Catholic Tradition.
This is probably one of my favorite videos you’ve done! Excellent.
Thank you!!
To respond to something you mentioned: what would you say to an Orthodox who says that even if the Catholic Church is true reunion is not necessary because we say they have a real Eucharist? There is a certain strand of online (in particular) Orthodoxy which insists that outside of full communion the Eucharist is not present, though their argument gets a little shaky if you ask how that relates to past and ongoing schisms within Orthodoxy (Russian/Greek, Jerusalem/Antioch, etc).
So good!
Nice painting in the background. Your video on it was excellent BTW
Thank you!
"Subsists" is a Scholastic term that means "unique & incommunicable". Not obscure at all.
Onto the watch list it goes

What stream was this clip from? I loved the breakdown!
Thank you! It’s from “Paintings, Autumn, and…Vampires…?” Over at “The Meaning of Catholic.”
@@thelogosproject7 thanks for that!
