That was pretty cool. Really nice drone shot at the very end. Thanks for sharing!
Well done! Looks beautiful out there today! We were in Tofino this weekend. See you guys again soon! S/V Arbutus Beach
Sounds great!
Those flopper stoppers make a big difference?
Hi, they do make a tremendous difference. The paravanes hold the “fish” angled slightly downwards and weighing about 45lbs about 14ft under water, providing a large range of motion that they can create resistance and dampen/smooth out the roll of the boat. Takes about 5 minutes per side to deploy and about 5-10 minutes to retrieve.
Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it! Just started our adventures for 2024! Rounding cape caution tomorrow on our way north!
Great scenery and whale watching footage! I'm soooo jealous!
Thanks for the kind words! We are very blessed on the west coast with amazing waters to explore!
I want to retire right now and go there..
Only one more year, until retirement and then you have to come join us on our adventures! Fishing! Prawning! Crabbing! Hiking!
The Pacific White Sided Dolphin is the “I’m just here for the good time” dolphin. My absolute favorite! We were escorted for miles by a super pod of what I’d guess to be nearly a 100 of them while passing through Johnstone Strait.
Amazing! They were exactly as you said “here for a good time” playing around in the anchorage for about an hour. Can’t wait to hopefully see more as we head north this summer!
Nailed it! Only one slight pause in your cadence, but it's so hard to make it absolutely flawless. I also like the peak inside at the beginning. Audio was very well balanced, was able to hear your voice clear as day, the music was at a nice balance level whereby it influenced my experience but did not over-shadow and did not under-perform. I think perhaps the only thing missing is that while you spoke about the "hook", you didn't flesh it out enough. Considering this is a promo video for what's to come, you need to leave the viewer wanting more. And sure, you did that a bit, but you didn't leave me scrambling to find the next video. I would say that's the only thing you could have improved upon for this one that comes to mind. Yay!
Thanks for the feedback! Always looking for ways to improve and change the format. Hope you enjoy our next video!
More information to come over the next few weeks on where exactly we will be heading and our overall plan, but wanted to provide a quick update!😍❤
Nice 👍
Thanks for the comment! More videos to come :)
We miss you guys! you always look like you are having a good time out there. We can't wait to be living the lifestyle you have. Maybe 2 years from now we will be heading down there to find a marina to live aboard! oxoxox
Can’t wait to hopefully see you guys this summer on the water! Maybe in the future being neighbours on our way to Panama!
Just found your channel. Beautiful, more people need to see this.
Thank you so much for the kind words. We love exploring and hope to bring the amazing ocean and all its views to everyone! Welcome Aboard!
Loved it!
Glad you enjoyed it! Squirrel Cove was a unique spot for us with the wreck, the lagoon and it was the busiest anchorage we stayed in last summer. Usually we prefer to hide out and explore in the middle of no where :P
So beautiful , what a tripp
Teakerne Arm is a great stop on route to get out and stretch your legs. Also can`t beat the fresh water swimming at Cassel Lake in the summer!
I follow your channel. Have a quick question for you. What kind of drone do you use as I am in the market to buy one for myself
Hi Kevin, We have a DJI Mini Pro 4. Great little unit, be sure to get your basic/advanced(Canada), FCC license(USA) to use the advanced extended batteries. We usually get about 30-35 minutes of flying time out of a single battery. Highly recommended!
Eudora is a Nordhavn 40 and Big Smile is a Selene 53! Enjoy!
Wow, fantastic area, great video!
Glad you enjoyed it!! Toba inlet was magical with the number of waterfalls there would be in the spring when everything is running full stream!
Very nice area! Thanks for sharing it with us.
You bet! I believe this marine park is often overlooked but is a great to relax at and has a few decent hiking trails!
Great video!
Thanks for the comment! Glad you enjoyed it!
Nice pull!
Thanks! Looking forward to dropping a few traps this summer!
Looks amazing out there
Walsh is a hidden gem in Desolation Sound.
Pot had about 50 decent sized spot prawns within. Tasty!!
nah those pests are right where they are supposed to be, far away from me & close to the coast, its your cute lil' sea rat thats misplaced in this situation.
Ha oh my! He was very much out of his comfort zone. Him and the seagulls have since grown to live with each other.
just subscribed. Lovely videos keep them coming. I used to live in VCR but now live in Ont. Miss the BC waters...
Thanks for the sub!! We enjoy putting them together. Next video we head up north past Campbell River through Seymour narrows and explore small inlet marine park. Once we are done this series from last summer we will be putting out videos in a more real-time basis as we travel. All the best!
How is this a merchant vessel?
Hi Eudora is a passenger yacht designed for long range travel, not a merchant vessel. Where did you see/hear that it was?
shit video.show what actually happens on board. dont just stick a camera facing forward and think you done a good job.so uncreative
Wow!
Very cool to see them in person.
300th Sub!!! Can't wait to see more of the videos guys :D
Thanks! Appreciate the support! Just put together the next video it will go live tomorrow!
Hi Tango! ...and the rest. ❤️ from Calgary 🖖
Dang that’s a lot of eagles! So cool
Lots of eagles and we concluded I can count to 34!! Onwards and upwards! :P Very unique spot and the camera doesn`t do it justice when you see these massive bald eagles sitting everywhere just watching.... Saw a few fish get scooped up!
Nice spot prawn haul! Also I bet that cabin has a different vibe in the evening, looks spooky as hell lol
Ha I bet it does.. next time we go through there I`ll organize a night trip and let you know. MMmmmM Prawns!!!
That water is quite calm! A bit mesmerizing... 😵💫😵💫😵💫
It really is calm. Everyday out is a joy on the water! You should get out!!
Fearless, as their owner. Zero sausage fear.
Thanks! He loves exploring when we are out.
So beautiful! Looks like fun adventuring!
Great spot, Highly recommend it. Enter only on 3/4-Full tide and check your depths. Go slow... We also saw a few bears in this lagoon, but with our lost footage we lost that... :( Remind us there is a fun story about this.
So beautiful …
It is not too bad of a backyard to go play in. Thanks for watching!
Oh no, please tell me you didn't drag your dingy the whole way. Do you ever monitor channel 16, the emergency channel? When I cruised the straight of Georgia one summer, there were people almost every day calling the coast guard for help because their dingy was wrapped around the prop or maybe sunk straight down, hanging by the painter and they needed help. Of course the Canadian Coast guard isn't into helping boaters who commit such egregious anti seamanship. Put it on deck where it belongs!
Hi Mike, We do monitor 16 along with a few other channels while cruising. You would be happy to know we do not tow our dinghy all the time and on long passages, bad weather, or heading into marina's we throw the dinghy on the back of Eudora. We tow the dinghy between short trips between anchorages(~<4-6 hours) when we are actively cruising or in this case a day trip up Toba inlet. While towing from the pilot house we have a rear facing camera that we can see the dinghy while underway along with using items such as a floating tow line with a diligent eye keep the dinghy behind Eudora. When coming into our destination we will side tie the dinghy to the starboard side to ensure there is no risk of the line being caught in the prop while anchoring.
Like the music and scenery! So peaceful. That waterfall was so pretty! Looks like you had a relaxing time!
It was a great trip! I think going in March / April would be best for the waterfalls. :) Very scenic trip!
Well done. Very enjoyable and refreshing music.
Hi Bob, Glad you enjoyed the video!
Have a fabulous trip! Are you also meeting up with 2 others that arrived I think today and yesterday? Facebook has a Gulf island group and they have been posting on there ! I love watching these videos we planning to go in July unfortunately it is are time to get off work.
Hi Seastar! Should be at the docks there tomorrow(assuming there is room). Not part of the gulf island group but will have to check them out! Glad you enjoy the videos, it is always fun putting them together.
I'll wait until May, thank you very much indeed.
As much as I love winter cruising as it is a different beast, the warm weather is always welcome!
I'm going to talk my son-in-law into a day trip up to your harbor. Just to knock around a bit. @@MVEudora
Im a new subscriber and love your videos. What kind of range you get with the 40? Im looking to buy a nordhavn very soon but gotta make sure i get one that can do a pacific crossing and atlantic as well. Wife and i got 2 teenagers thatll be on it. Tia
Hi @hclausse, Thanks for subscribing. We hold 920gals of diesel onboard in two tanks. With that we can get between 2000-3500nm depending on what speed we run at from 5.5 to 8.5 knots. For crossings many Nordhavn’s also employ using deck fuel bladders to extend the range a further 10-30%. Have a great day!
@MVEudora ty. Never heard of a deck fuel bladder before, I will have to find out info on that
@@hclausse atlinc.com/custom-fuelocker-marine-fuel-bladders.html is one company that makes them to get you started on your quest.
Quite a treat, being invited along. Thanks very much, indeed. Looking forward to further adventures!
Our pleasure! We hope to share the joy of the ocean with as many people as possible!
Gorgeous. The waters are so pristine - blue/green and beautiful. Nice job. Thanks for bringing me along.
Thanks as well it always helps receiving positive comments that the work we put into recording/editing is appreciated! More to come.
It looks nice I like it
Keep up the good work, please.
Wow very nice video
Nice videos friends! Miss you guys! 😊😊
Can’t wait for the next adventure. 🤗 Tango told us he misses Ranger! 🐾🦴
What a great video. I am so envious!
Thanks Mark we are having a blast exploring! Hopefully we see you again soon!
