Nice vidio. I have been blessed and the culture of gifting during chrismass is good . Though in ug some times we dont take it serious and on boxing day all we can open are sweets😂

Anne, my sister is married to a british sweet man. His mum began shopping for her family us in January sales. Collecting things all year round. Myself am married to a dutch and they did less with christmas but now the do. They do Sintaklas on Dec 5. Google it. Secret Santalike making a ‘suprise’ .. am rwandan by roots birn in uganda and lived 40 yrs now in Europa. My third country. UK, Netherlands and now Hungary. Am now empty nester. Our kids were not home and we had lowkey one since we are only here less than a year.. long story but i missed good old days

oh, this is great hearing about your first Christmas in Australia. As a Zimbabwean who has now lived overseas in the US & Canada more than I lived in Zimbabwe - I have really come to miss the Zimbabwean Christmas where as children we got brand new outfits which we wore to the Christmas service, we would also spend Christmas in our rural home spending at least a day or two with all our relatives and we would eat and spend time together. I have really started to kinda not enjoy Christmas overseas because of the overconsumption and sometimes the church is even closed for the Christmas period.
Talk about it, why are some churches closed on Christmas? Like so different! I appreciate our African culture has alot of beautiful things. Thanks for the comment.
I'm from Zimbabwe, and Christmas here is about church and food. The children get to wear new clothes on the day.

We give God the glory for your journey mercies and safe arrival. Waiting to hear what God has in store for you all in Australia. Anne please don't take this as criticism BUT it would be nice to let Jono speak when you ask him questions without you interrupting him as he tries to speak. I know, I used to do the same with my husband, I would talk over him. I am a fellow Ugandan living in the UK, in a relationship with Our Lord Jesus Christian, married to an English man, we have two adult children. It can feel a bit uncomfortable to watch, he has something to offer to the conversation and it would be nice to hear him give his views about the topic. I am saying all of this in love from a sister in Christ to a sister in Christ. Looking forward to hearing what the Lord has for you in Australia. Love and blessings to you all.
