Almost all 70 music all knew how to read and theory

Keep listening to this obvious noob and buying his trash though.

Every few months I play some very simple fiddle tunes using sheet music. The melodies are right out of the major scale and I find it helps with my ear training as well as understanding notes on the fret board.

For 35 years I couldn't get my brain to get out of the one Pentatonic position. The other day, somehow it clicked and I now know all 5 positions. Chump change for some, a revelation for me.

Stop stifling my creativity with all this theory nonsense!

?? Normal dominant coming from a minor, the 3rd is raised to make it dominant, Rest is diatonic. Am I missing something?

I love this series of exploring the sounds of the modes of the different types of scales. BTW im in my 30s and think the "childish" presentation is what makes me come back to the channel and connect with the music you present. It allows me to get into your head and understand the same imagery you are. Dont listen to the haters!

"Phygian dominant" is the fifth modes of the "harmonic minor" scale...

if you're interested in this type of sound, i recommend looking into a similar scale, but with the 7th degree raised. it's a mode from the hungarian minor scale
