Also have determined the overvoltage did not come through the grid...no unusual local or environmental anomalies, no other neighbors with solar on immediate street effected, no recorded overvoltage from grid power supplier-TNMP.

Call Goodwe call center they will confirm your ownership and delete or add the inverter from old plant online to new one.

I guess it comes down to the question of who is responsible for the grid voltages. I would argue that the network has way more tools at its disposal to manage voltages than the customer. Using volt-var and volt-watt should not be the main network tool. Networks should have to report and be held to account over the voltage and power quality levels they provide. They are not, which is completely unfair when those same voltage and power quality levels are causing customer investments to under perform. I am not sure how many customers understand the technical reasons behind the volt-var and volt-watt approach. I am certain that most customers have no idea about how networks are able to restrict and curtail their solar operations in this way. I am equally certain that networks do not publish reports on localised (or network wide) voltage levels, which they should do given it can have a significant impact on the financial performance of your solar investment.

I am trying to do this step. But the phone’s available wifi options doesn’t show the network name with the serial number. Do we need to enable hotspot somewhere in the battery?

@@ajypgfl I think the wifi dongle of inverter have some issue, may be try to restart or lodge the warranty call with alpha

@@trishroutley4853 Try to restart the battery or call Alpha directly for new alpha dongle. They recently have introduced new way for changing the inverter’s wifi as well.

It depends on your electricity meter, if meter is calculating bill on net metering not gross metering then doesn’t matter 1 or 3 phase because end of the day meter calculate how energy used or sent in hour. Else in your scenario just go with 3 phase inverter.

Thanks firstly panels never perform 100%, usually they produce 90-80%. Thus, based on your location even 5.32kw solar panels would be sufficient for 4kw. So 4.73kw on 4kw inverter is fine. Single phase inverter on three phase connection should be fine but it’s all depends upon your meter reading calculations , export rules of your electricity provider.

Check the model number, if it’s 5000 then 5kw capacity if it’s 10000 then 10 kw so on.

1. Check the wifi signal strength at inverter end. 2. Raise the concern so that goodwe team can check if there is any issue with inverter’s dongle.

You can always buy fronius monitoring data card for wireless access point. Your inverter could be without data card.

may be check EdgeIQ Voltage Optimiser. What the machine does is “condition” the incoming supply. You cable it in after the main switch, and the whole place will be fed with a steady 225 volts. Your solar power system will see the same voltage and function as intended, however the line side/network supply voltage will be driven up to whatever is required to make the energy flow back to the network.

They directly affect the standards of the IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission), which in turn hinders changes towards RES durability.

There are lots of factor you have check if you are getting exporting difference between on grid and hybrid inverter. Could be panel orientation, panels efficiency to perform in different temperatures, inverter efficiency and string Balance and lots more. Check the device call “Reposit” that may help to export in 3 phase.

Try to follow same process again and configure with new wifi name and password. Alternatively just call goodwe helpline they will sort that out for you

Wifi is required to connect the inverter with internet 🛜, so that you can see on your mobile how much solar is producing through online Applications & also it helps to do regular updates. Operationally no difference!!
