I have this radio but am unable to get sound. I have the aux connected. Any ideas?
@@jordanwilliams8936 also make sure your optic fiber cable is connected properly.
Why is there never any mention of the important functions, such as when you use the music player on Android to play MP3s from a USB storage device and have Maps Navigation open, how do you then go to the next song, i.e. which buttons do you use on the steering wheel or to turn the i Drive without having to exit Google Maps, it is very important that it works, otherwise you get very distracted, a short video on this problem would be cool. So, scenario: I navigate using Google Maps, have Google Maps open and have music playing in the background via USB MP3, how do you skip songs tracks forward and back without minimizing Maps?????? Which button do you have, which option do you have??? A very important question, because if it doesn't work then it's useless!!

Hi, it depends, the best would be to contact your supplier to ask if they can get you an update.

How is the night time brightness? Can it get really dim or not? How is the brightness controlled?
Recently fitted one syste in 520D with SIM slot. Inserted one sim and worked fine. Remove the samr sim and inserted again then it's stopped working. Tried several time but no use. Tried in mobile its workinh fine. Inserted anither carrier sim and started working. Taken out the sim and inserted again and the same issue started. Again inserted another new sim and started working fine. Today again i taken out don't know why the system not detecting the sim. Tried reboot, restart method several times but no response. Can anyone through some light in to this or suggest some solution?...

I was looking to see how to remove the head unit, because I can't get Android Auto to work with my Oppo phone - I wanted to check to see if the USB connections were loose at the back of the unit. BTW, where can I get a converter cable from the original USB plug to fit the new head unit? Thanks in advance.

Left out the fact that you need to keep a wire connected to your aux output in order to get audio.
@@Stomping-On-Roses 😅 We did show that in the video... But we actually used bimmercode to code the car and now it works without the aux cable being connected.

Hi@@erdart6463, yes I also have the oem camera. You should change the camera settings from Aftermarket to Original then it will work.

We didn’t see you connect the can bus. And what is the function of the can bus please? Thank you.
@@HighFLYER-9000 5:05 min into the video you see the harness with the canbus, shortly after that we installed it. The Canbus communicates with the Car so that the Original Camera and steering wheel buttons still works.

Which screen size do you think looks better in BMW F10,? 10.25, 12.3 or 14.9? I don't like the digital cluster.

As this is a right hand drive car, should the CarPlay menu be on the right side? Any idea how you might change this ?
@@williamoconnorme you can change it yes😉.... Usually if you open the app (the one that gives you the option for Carplay) without your phone being connected then it should allow you to go into that app settings and change it to LHD / RHD
What if something is wrong with the car, will it show the issue like OEM would?
