Hope this video helps anyone in need of a good way to check cloud cover and will help you plan those clear nights!

October in Texas I can go outside around 11pm to easily grab a shot of Jupiter which is about halfway between the horizon and straight up, Or... 1/3rd of the way between the tree line and straight up.

I'm confused? I'm trying to get an f/5 or below for things like seeing the horsehead nebula ... this telescope looks awesome ... and looks like it would do the job brilliantly ... but its listed as an f/10... so it would be good at looking at planets etc but not so good at deep space images? help a guy out here :)

HI. A question about getting good round stars. I can see you use a Starizona SCT corrector. I have a C8 and use the Celestron f/6.3 but I am not satisfyed at all as stars are alongated. Does the SCT Corrector make a big difference for the stars on the edges compare with the Celestron ? Or it is the same and you manage to fix them with a software ? Thanks, clear skies. Yvan

You’ve de-forked the CPC 11… A great review and I *loved* the images. As a serious imaging rig, can it also electronically GoTo-or do you dial in objects manually using setting circles ;-) Btw, one day try film-looking back, its challenges were huge!

Am very pleased you were able to acquire this magnificent instrument! You know what it all means-you appreciate the scope-you deserve it :-) When I was around your age I inherited my Grandfather’s 1975 fully manual equatorial Celestron-Pacific C5 .9:53 amazed by the detail in your images! This is a superb lifelong hobby Noah-I’m still as in awe of the night sky today as I was at your age.

First saw the Trifid Nebula in Megaman Legends, for the Playstation 1 and thought it was made up. Then when searching AstroBin, discovered it to be real. What is the Bortle Level of the area where the imaging took place? The image looks really good for only 60 minutes of data

With a focal lenght of 2800mm I'm pretty surprised there still isn't too much detail and sharpness on those planets. With my A7RV + (pretty soft) Tamron 150-500mm I get about half the resolution you're getting. I once just took a few pictures that I stacked and it looks very similar after cropping. Is that because you took a video of them instead of high res photos?
