Vail's Newest Trail is SPECTACULAR
Spice Rack is the newest trail at Vail Bike Park. I rode it on closing weekend was in heaven! This trail is a really cool blend of steepish tech and narrow jumps, all while weaving through a beautiful Aspen Forest.
I hope you enjoy the video!

Slaying it bro💪👊
5:46 is where Spice Rack ends and it connects to Onza Alley
Oh dang I didn't catch that! That was one of my favorite parts too.
I am going to bikepack up there Friday night and plan to take my hardtail with my bikepacking gear down this on Sat morning lmao
You got this! And you in one of the best places to bike in the USA!
We sell those at home medical supplies in lone tree if you ever want the hookup!
Nice review. Thanks! Reminds me a little of Plank Trail at Jubilee College State Park in Illinois, on steroids (if in that area, might be worth a try).
what trail is that first drop?
Baileys downhill at vail bike park
Yeah such a great blend of machine and hand built. I usually wouldn't end up riding here until some sort of work event...and always thought to myself "Damn, these trails may be more fun than many other parks in Colorado." I think just adding a large scale double black would really round out this system... (old 9 isn't much of anything these days.)
7:21 the aspens are so beautiful
Love too see it❤ so awesome to see vail open up some new trails. Keep up the great riding
@@Gus_Everett thank you!🙏 I agree it’s great to see Vail expanding their bike park. They have a great mountain template for park riding and a growing selection of trails.
nice dude
Heaven looks so nice 👍
I did this on closing day at Vail Sunday with my son. It was pretty amazing!
Also where is this? Snowmass?
@@Quicksy_ vail bike park
@@GnarlyBearMTB nice! Also another question, do you know if you can bike up Snowmass mountain and go down the bike park after the gondola closes?
@@Quicksy_ not sure unfortunately. Most places are chill about it though!
@@GnarlyBearMTB You’re good! I just was wondering because I am heading out to Snowmass in a few days unfortunately RIGHT after it closes 😭 Atleast I could get some laps in!
Somehow heaven will be better than this 😂
Great vid bro(first)
Love it man. Great video.
BTW - done done with .. HIker hiker hiker...
how are your tries after all those rocks?
@@DanielSolis-xs5ij fine! I usually run enduro or DH casing tires
that looks too fun
Great video! Is this a trail you think beginners could do with ease?
Totally depends on the beginner since most of a beginners "skill" is tied to confidence and not mechanics, but yeah, I think most beginners could and would have fun on this trail!
@@GnarlyBearMTB for sure! I think I’ll try it! I have done mosquito coast and to be honest it was a little struggle but I thtink I could do this
left hand laughs at ore chute.
Sweet vid, keep the wisco trails coming
Just rode it. Nice jumps but for blue riders it was for sure hard to guess a speed jump to jump and the lips made it a little hard to roll em if you are a un-spicy chicken. Still lots of fun (in better shape than Field Trip ha ha)
@@markhense yeah agree it’s hard for me to just speed too. I’m hoping they turn shy ann into the easy blue jump trail
Focus on your breathing it will make you ride a million times better, hard to make your muscles function expelling all your o2
What about leatt airflex chest protector? Im very new to MTB and it very hard to find any mtb gear in my country (thailand) All i can found that seem might be good is leatt airflex so am not sure that will it suitable with our 30c -40temp and is it good for protection Sorry for my bad english
@@theweejr its impact certified so it has good protection. All chest protectors are going to be hot, but the air flex looks cooler than most. The air flex seems like a solid choice.
@@GnarlyBearMTB thank mate in your opinion which one should be better in term of airflow between fox racefram impact and leatt reaflex chest protect
@@theweejr I own a raceframe impact and love it, but I’d guess that the leatt is cooler slightly.
Is the Alpinestars A10 V2 a good option?
@@fraanzfan8158 yeah it’s impact level 2 so that’s a really protective option. The rest just depends on your comfort
Excellent comparison. Thanks!
Broke my rib last weekend... currently looking at chest/back protection now 😂
@@RAGEISM89 tough - heal up quick 🫡💪
Would this work for Me Mode ??
That turn is the hardest feature at keystone by a long shot, props for cleaning it mid race run!
Space ape
Why is everyone just watching? 😅
Whenever I hear this song now I expect to see some insane stunt, that will put my previously held convictions into question.
We have an Even Flow trail at my local trail system too, this trail absolutely shiits on it, way way cooler. I’d like to trade please.
Your not you’re
That’s the joke lol
It's one of them, either slow or stupid fast trails, u know. 😂
Hahahahaa 😂
what kinda techy ass double black bruh wtf😭
Nice good job
great clips and thanks for sharing the ride, I plan to visit in a few weeks for the first time
Here was me thinking that “paid in full” meant you were gonna fall hard. What a waste of my time!
why no banana peel?!???
@@theGreatAthleticYouth I like my collarbone in one piece
@@GnarlyBearMTB can't argue with that
@@theGreatAthleticYouth 😂real talk though I’m not ready for the peel and don’t have the pass for it either
@@GnarlyBearMTB a pass for a trail at the park? is it not part of trestle? I haven't ever been
@@theGreatAthleticYouth I don’t think it’s very enforced but you technically need a different pass and waiver to ride the peel I think
this is an amazing idea, so many parks need this video!
😂
Next time you jump off something like that try and land with your back tire first and not your front otherwise you’re gonna lose a pair 😵💫
Thanks for this I wish I got one before I broke my rib and bruised the others
@@dansmtb for sure. Sorry about your ribs. Heal up 💪
@@GnarlyBearMTB thanks
YOOO, I didn’t realize but today I went to keystone for the first time and did this exact same run. I thought to myself that I remembered the 🍆 log , And realized it was from your videos. The 🍆 log was so fun, and keystone was so fun in general. Another fun feature was the drop on sanitarum, I was scared to hit it but I did. Some people were saying they rebuilt it, how do you like it now?
@@Floppy23 ahaha nice! It’s fun indeed. A lil dangerous at race speed though lol
@@Floppy23 did you hit the tall thing on sanitarium right at the beginning?! I haven’t actually done that since I’ve only raced/prerode on sanitarium
@@GnarlyBearMTB Yeah, I did, it was scary looking but yeah I did hit it. I hit it like 5 times
@@GnarlyBearMTB but I also wish that there was more distance on the drop so you can hit it with more speed
Do u know anywhere to ride in beaver creek😊
@@KillerKit-u4f yeah, Paulie’s plunge or lees way. Vail bike park if you wanna ride park!
@@GnarlyBearMTB thanks!
