    Yale is not happy to help the guys with older system, they want to to buy a new one... There are 3 sequenses to add a keypad, based on your system, for HSA3800 is : 1 Press the ‘A’ key (left red button at the top of the keypad) followed by factory default keypad code ‘0000’. 2 The LED will now flash slowly indicating it is in test (programming) mode. 3 Press the ‘A’ key followed by the ‘7’ key to set the keypad into PIN code mode. 4 Press the ‘B’ key ((right red button at the top of the keypad) and enter new four digit keypad code followed by the Arm key. 5 Quit test mode by pressing the disarm key twice. The keypad code and mode setting has been completed. • The keypad code is not used by the system, only the keypad itself. You should not have to use this code again so make a note of it and keep it in a safe, secure place. Then : 6. While in add device mode in Control Panel (when asking to press the button on the device you want to add ) 7. Press A key followed by 0000 or whatever code you inputted on your keypad (see step 4) 8. Press A key followed by the 8 9. Press A key followed by the 2 (the control panel will beep once to aknowledge pairing) 10. Press the disarm key twice. The Keypad code and mode setting has been completed. The Keypad will now use the same PIN code that is set for the Control Panel. For other models : Key Pad initialisation If you purchase a Key Pad as an accessory, you will need to initialise it prior to use with the Control Panel. 7. Press A key followed by 0000 or whatever code you inputted on your keypad (see step 4) 8. Press A key followed by the 7 The LED will now flash slowly indicating it is in test (programming) mode. 9. Press A key followed by the 1 (the control panel will beep once to aknowledge pairing) 10. Press the disarm key twice. The Keypad code and mode setting has been completed. The Keypad will now use the same PIN code that is set for the Control Panel. If the keypad it doesnt disarm... Please remove the keypad from the system then complete the following procedure: 1. Press the ‘Panic button A’ key followed by factory default Key Pad code ‘0000’ (this is different to your Control Panel PIN code). 2. The LED will now flash slowly indicating it is in test (programming) mode. 3. Press the ‘Panic button A’ key followed by the ‘7’ key to set the Key Pad into Control Panel system mode (also known as slave mode). 4. Quit test mode by pressing the disarm key twice. The Key Pad code and mode setting has been completed. The Key Pad will now use the same PIN code that is set for the Control Panel To learn in a keypad, press 8 and 9 together until you hear a beep. Other option for newer models : Please remove the keypad from the system then complete the following procedure: 1. The LED will now flash slowly indicating it is in test (programming) mode. 2. Press the ‘Panic button A’ key followed by the ‘7’ key to set the Key Pad into Control Panel system mode (also known as secondary mode). 3. The LED will now flash slowly indicating it is in test (programming) mode. 4. Press the ‘Panic button A’ key followed by the ‘7’ key to set the Key Pad into Control Panel system 5. Quit test mode by pressing the disarm key twice. The Key Pad code and mode setting has been completed. The KeyPad will now use the same PIN code that is set for the Control Panel. Make sure the new batteries are ALKALINE and of the same make. Mixing batteries of different brands will result in the fault LED to stay on and the control unit beep.

    For anyone else looking for this... To disable tamper protection, these are the steps (I was in the same position): 1. On the control panel, Press the PR key, enter your user code, followed by the tick. 2. The control unit is now in programming mode, Select Devices +/-, the Program Siren and Siren Tamp. Off using the up and down keys. 3. Press tick when in the Siren Tamp. Off menu and the control unit will beep followed by an acknowledgement pip from the siren. The siren tamper will now be disabled for 1 hour after which it will auto arm again. Also, when you've put the batteries in and switch the siren box from off to on again, it'll automatically turn the Siren Tamp on, so you'll need to repeat the above process before fitting the front back on the siren (or do it really carefully - I didn't take the risk). Hope this helps a next confused person, just like I was. 👍

      HELP!!!HOW DO YOU STOP THE ALARM AFTER SWITCHING IT BACK ON

  • @andyc1909
    @andyc1909 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    If the tamper comes on after changing battery and doesn't go away, save yourself some time and just buy a new sensor as the tamper aspect of it is knackered. That's why you can't get rid tamper alert! Alternatively try a hard reset on back of main unit before buying a new sensor.

  • @andyc1909
    @andyc1909 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    What would be useful to know and have a video on is what happens if after changing a battery you do somehow trigger a Tamper alert on the main unit and despite repeated attempts to "clear" it it doesn't go away. Whenever you try to activate the alarm it comes up and gives you the option to force arm. How do you clear a persistent Tamper alert?!

      He does explain to enter programming mode on the control panel which deactivates tamper alarm. Also, for instance when changing a battery in external wall siren the programming mode will deactivate by the time you have completed the procedure so either need to be careful replacing cover or re-enter programming mode and resume fitting cover.

    • @sydesign768

      @@andyc1909 Does 'tamper siren - on' means allowing you to tamper the siren without it going off or does it mean it set the tamper siren on, so that if you tamper with it, the siren will goes off? It is because I changed the batteries today and I set it to 'tamper siren - off' but when I was putting the cover back on with some movement, the alarm went off.

    • @andyc1909
