ready steady go - otis redding special (1966) - complete show!
All the other TH-cam files are for individual songs, or in separate parts, so I thought I would share the whole performance.
Apologies if this offends anyone or any organisation, but the show's no longer commercially available (...Dave Clark, why?) and is so good it just needs to be seen!

Eric Burdon did a pretty good job of Hold on I”m comin !!
this drummer and bass player are fuckin supreme ,, xx
I remember this broadcast 15 then 😊
This is golden ❤
Otis was only a few months past his 26th Birthday when he Passed. 26!!!!!! What a Tragic Loss.
Love Otis Sad he had his life cut short. He left some memorable songs.
Dynamic energy..and those dancers gave it everything !
Amazing Amazing Amazing
I'm on the couch in pain with a broken right tibia and fibula and I am still smiling and tears of joy from this great show. Oh my God thank you for soul
If that was a UK house band backing him they were hot!
First heard this when I was 10 years old when my sister brought home the album. Blown away again.
Mr. Redding, The Band!!!❤
Real Horn Section...I'll take it!
Holy.
Ducaralho!!!
I’d give anything to have been at this show. Phenomenal. RIP King Otis.
Genial. Que desgracia una pérdida tan joven y con tanto arte.
Broadcast date: September 16, 1966
Brings back memories of when music wasn’t trash. ❤❤❤❤
Brilliant.got some of otis on my phone like I said brilliant soul singer. Also the likes of chuck jackson and gene chandler. Anyone remember jackie wilson ?. Jackie lee darkest days ?.ready steady go. What can I say? Fantastic programme. I love the sixties stuff. Even though I would have been say 4 years old in 1964 doesn't t matter.northern soul I was into and all the mod stuff.
stole our music, stole our soul, stole our bodies... gave us no credit, you're welcome
What a great show❤❤❤❤❤❤😂😂😂😂😂
If aliens came to earth and asked me what is music i would show them this
I was too young to know about the Buddy Holly crash but Otis dying was a massive shock to us young Brits. He made a massive impression when he came over here in 66. Sam and Dave paved the way and Otis brought it home.
i was clearly born in the wrong era and the world we live in today is complete shit lol. What we call talent today was dried up dogshit in 1966. btw Eric Burdon shreds it as well I had no idea the wingspan he had there
Wow... what a band 😳
Had the privilege of seeing Otis live at the old Regal Theater in Chicago, but even on TV he's perhaps the most joyous performer I've ever seen.
Mod central
Time of white America racism. These black artists should get lawyers and sue every record label, radio stations, stage show and White artists who performed their songs without permission !!😂
I remember when he help our home boy artuer conly out he use to play ball with my uncle and them🤗
I love the way them foreigners be saying mr.otis redding lol😊
My Love 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Wish we could bring those back
Era tremendo cantante paz a su Alma cantando en las estrellas 🙏
Very energetic 😮
Otis took those kiddos to church. 🤷🏻♂️
I don't know how I managed to miss this when it was shown back in the 60s, but it was way before the era of being able to just press a button to see a repeat! Certainly the best live music show of that period.
Admirable. Excellent. حفظكم الله
Phenomenal stuff! Otis Redding and Eric Burdon with Chris Farlowe on stage at the same time! Sandy Sarjeant is the key Go-Go girl! What is there to compare these days? Nothing. Feel the excitement!
Min 20 to the end is absolutely full pelt before it's time... love it🎶🎤😘
Still stand by the fact that this is the first type of mc battle to a fast, near close to a jungle/drum and bass beat ❤ godfathers 😮
Eric is the man 😅😅😅
How can you ever follow Otis.. that's how just go full in believe in yourself and have a little help.. smashed it.. respect you lucky people to be in this moment in time... I thought I was a raver.. Otis was doing it before I was a twinkle 😊 love you dad... CHAZ X
Yes, I'm late to this comment party, but I would like to ask if any of the commenters on here were in attendance when James Brown made his appearance on this show on 3/11/66? I have always heard that he wasn't as well received as was Otis, and the Motown stars were, and I would like to know from someone who may have been there what may have been the issue with JB?
I remember watching this when it was broadcast and all these years later, I still think it's one of the best performances I've ever seen. Otis was on fire, that day.
And they call today's R&B. This is soul R&B all performed by the greatest ever . Otis, Eric and Chris . What a time for real music.
Its good and proper that Chris farlowe and Eric Burdon were there with him as they understudied him and became amongst the best soul singers in Britain, then Joe Cocker, Paul Young,, Spencer D and many others kept the faith
Absolute king of soul 🔥🔥, Forever great Otis redding 💪💪
Why wasn’t I born into this era??
Who's playing bass?
