Ernie Coates track day at Bishopscourt racing circuit, went very well but still having gearbox issues but I'll get a gearbox into it before the next day! We got lucky with the weather, cold but dry! Let me know what you think of the new video format. Got a new Mic aswel so audio is a bit better but still some wind noise, I'll try position it better next time.

Зимняя резина? Не, не слышал. Надо прокладку сменить между сиденьем и рулём и все поедет нормально
Great video - I came upon it by chance! What does the LCD display next to the tachometer indicate? Is it speed in mph? If so, it seems way out from the main km/h display divided by 1.6.
Thanks Mike! The LCD is Mph, it always reads higher than GPS, but the gearing is changed for more acceleration so it is further out!
@@brolyfe8018 Cheers!
I was out in the novice group. First ever track day. Got overtaken by everyone 😂. Were you alright?
Nice mate fair play, how did you find it? Yeah I was good! Luckily.. tendons are still torn in my shoulder from the last crash 😳
@@brolyfe8018 it was bloody terrifying on the first session. 😂 I don't ride bikes, last bike I rode was a 125 on the road in 2009 on a provisional. So 100mph on the back straight was the quickest I've ever had a bike go, and that's bloody slow in comparison to others. A mate thought us buying track bike's would be fun, so I ended up with a cheap zx9r on road tyres. I know absolutely nothing about throwing a bike around a track.
Haha it must've felt fairly wild so 😂 fair play just going for it! zx9r is a fun bike I bet! Will you keep at it now?
@@brolyfe8018 I'll stick at it. Itching to get back out now I've had time to calm down. 😅 I just need to have more trust in the tyres and the bike. Have more balls, Carry more speed and hope the tyres can hold on if I tilt the bike a little. I don't fancy scuffing the fresh paint or my new white rst leathers just yet.
Good stuff, we might see you up there next year so 🤙 Haha yeah best take it easy at first ! What tyres have you? Surprising what a touring tyre can do even when you start pushing them!
3 laps within 1/10th of each other - good consistent laps there! *Until the obvious! :(
Thanks mate! Yeah lapse in judgement there.. lesson learned 😂
That was a nasty one! Was this the second session?
Yeah second session mate and first day back after a crash in mondello 2 months ago 🤦
@@brolyfe8018 if you’re not crashing your not trying! You should upload session 1 too. You were going well!
Haha cheaper if you're not crashing though 😂 last crash was swingarm bobbins dragging 🤦 I never put the camera on for the first session because it's usually just to get the eye in again.. wish I did though would've had a good shot of Browne coming by 😂
@@brolyfe8018 what size tyre you running on the rear? I’ve heard of pegs causing crashes but never bobbins😳 definitely cheaper not to crash tho. But you will always learn something from it!
180/60/17! Yeah they were r&g ones, they were grinding off 🤦 exactly that's it lad!
Any footage going to uploaded from Sunday? Seen you had an off, hope all is ok. I was on the red and black cbr. Was a cold day very little grip!
Yeah I'll get to it tonight hopefully 🤞 all good, bike didn't come out too bad either! Didn't spot you mate! How did you get on? That's for sure, I barely touched the curb and the front washed.. easily could've avoided it if I had some sense 😂
@@brolyfe8018 got on grand mate, nearly binned it at fisherman’s! Did you crash at the chicane? I managed to do a 1.09 lap surprisingly😅 everyone said the grip was low haha, Mike Browne and some other guy on a gsxr didn’t seem to find the grip low all the same the speed they were travelling at🤣
@Hondmad nice fair play mate that's good going! No at fisherman's haha! I found the grip alright apart from the curb 😂 them boys are seriously fast tho 😳
@@brolyfe8018 thanks mate it’s a lot slower than what you do but it’s an improvement😄, fisherman’s is a pretty fast corner to crash at😳 are you racing in the Usbk super sport next year?
That's the main thing lad! You're still moving 🤙 yeah it was only a front tuck though so didn't hurt haha didn't have far to fall 😂 probably not mate, was planning on but thinking of moving away! Are you?
What sort of go pro setup do you use?
GoPro hero 11 black with ND filter!
where is that intake manifold from? Does it only work for diesels?
Standard aluminium intake manifold, some came with plastic!

@@brolyfe8018 mas cabe o 2262RVK ou fizeste alguma alteração o turbo não bate na longarina
Welded turbo to a fwd turbo manifold, custom boost and exhaust pipes then!
How did it go? What setup did tou have
In this video it was a gtb2265vklr turbo and ported head, valves, cam etc done
@@brolyfe8018 was it reliable? I have a pd130 4motion and wanted to do a few things on it
No, 300hp is reliable after that it gets less reliable and even at 300 you may melt pistons maintaining top speed for too long
@@brolyfe8018 can you recomend a good setup realiable setup? I know a good tuner i just dont know which turbo etc to chose. Also because its a 4motion Torsen idk how it would work. you got insta bro? :D
Manual?
Yeah! 6 speed
What sort of time is that bike that passed you doing must be lol under a minute, you are going well until you see it disappear 😮
Not sure tbh mate, the fast lads are doing 1 minute and below!
1.03 is seriously quick! You sure that bikes not a 750? My old k5 used to Rev out to 17k!
Cheers mate, slowly improving 😁 I'll be happy when I get a minute flat 🤣 ah definitely not mate she doesn't lift the wheel in 2nd and is dead till 9k 🤣
Turns out my weather forecast was right😁, any footage going to be uploaded of your trackday?
Yeah it sure was, didn't see ya! Were you in a garage? Haven't got a chance to look at it yet, should have it up this evening 💪 how did you get on?
@@brolyfe8018 got on good mate, no wasn’t in a garage I was near the car garageI think I seen you? Steven loves old 600? Some fast guys out in the fast group, looked to be only like 3 600cc bikes in it? Seemed like they were getting held up by the 1000s and on the straights would get passed again😂😂 must of been very annoying!
@Hondmad good stuff, we were lucky with the weather! Yeah that's the one mate! Some very fast lads! hard keep up with them litre bikes haha
This is saab TTdi engine??
No VW/Audi PD engine
Nice bike mate, gsxr 600 or 750?
Cheers mate! She's a 600 😁
@@brolyfe8018 nice dude, heading to kirky this weekend?
Yeah! Weather isn't looking hectic though! You?
@@brolyfe8018 weather looks good for Sunday!
Sweet hopefully my phone is wrong so 🤣
what is all done to engine
Check my other videos for full details but at that point it had a ported head, cam and oversized valves as far as I can remember! For 280hp cam is all you need, plus injectors and good turbo set up.
@@brolyfe8018 you know what can get with stock cam and head are they flowing enought with like 5bar boost
Anything flows enough with 5 bar boost, getting it to last with that pressure is not so easy, and you'll always benefit from more flow! I ran 4.3bar boost (5.3 absolute) with little over 3 bar back pressure, but engine was fully built with lower compression, stronger rods, cam, springs, valves, ported head, arp head bolts etc, I can't see standard engine taking that much pressure, also for that pressure you need compound turbos
@@brolyfe8018 yeah have big holset and gt22 from om648 on the build with stock motor thick head gasket pd150 bolts and cheap 100% injectors
Sweet that'll be good, start at 3.5 bar at most and creep it up keeping an eye for head lift and you should be good 🤙 if you do get head lift roll it back a bit change your studs 1 by 1 and send it at that 🤌
Aye lad. A wee bit of power you got there me laddie
What is the current status of the project?
Sold it after I had some fun with it mate!
☄️☄️☄️
Thanks for sharing. I've been thinking about using a set of S22's on the '94 VFR750 I'm building for track use.
Very nice! Don't see many of them about anymore 👌 I had the S23 bridgestones out on a damp/patchy track 2 weeks ago and they are brilliant too!
Looks like a fun day on a quick bike!
Not the fastest thing in the world it's only a pre injection Honda but she sure is fun!
Typical Honda gearbox problems!
For sure! It was acting up big time, you can see it jumps out of 5th on the straight sometimes aswel!
@@brolyfe8018 yes seen that, I’d recommend getting your new gearbox super finished and polished, only way too sort a Honda box, plus abit more power😁
Thanks mate I'll have a look into it, if it's not too costly I'll get it done 😁
What bike? nice riding.
Thanks mate! Still getting used to it, first time on that bike 😁 it's an old cbr600f4!
Hello I saw an engine block in the box Wondering if this is aftermarket Because I want to fit a bigger turbo and I want to know if you fitted the 16V engine because mine is 16V OEM 2.0tdi
Hi engine was 2.0 tdi 16v, standard bottom end
Nice then thank you bro Have a good one 👍
Use water methanol injection bruh.
Size of the wheels?
19x8.5
La frizione resiste?
Sachs SRE pressure plate and Paddle clutch plate from precision clutch components, it worked no problem
why do you drill out the pistons?
Drilling out the pistons is to reduce compression ratio and to stop them melting! Have melted a few standard pistons!
and then you can drive the standard pistons? up to what performance? Thanks my friend for the information! @@brolyfe8018
You can make over 400hp with them! No problem!
@@brolyfe8018 thank you!
😮😮😮😮❤❤❤
Love it, I love those models. I've had my car for a little over 11 years and I'm thinking about making mine a project car. I want this same set up. Bad ass
Brilliant cars, Go for it!
Built motor for only 340hp ?
ARP head studs and head work, nothing major engine wise
How much was this build?
Not sure, probably around €3k
What size v band on the gtb2260
It was a GTB 2056, can remember the size but there was nothing standard had lathe a few bits!
What size v band did you weld to the gtb2260
I used the standard v bands on the turbo and just lathed regular stainless v bands to fit!
It's a gtb2056 and I can't remember the sizes of the ones I lathed
Nice riding!
Thanks bro 💪
keep it up
Cheers mate, I'll get the track bike sorted now over the winter 💪
Nice riding mate looks like you got a 1:09 lap time in very impressive!
Thanks mate, I'm learning! 1.08 was the best I got I think, but i haven't gone through all the footage yet!
@@brolyfe8018 thats super pal, I think it was more due to ground temperature being so low at kirkistown that caused you to crash, guess it’s just that time of year unfortunately
Yeah possibly mate! I think I was getting a bit eager on the throttle for them tires anyway, still could do a lot more braking on them but the front has a lot of heat cycles through it so I was a bit weary
Where did you get the Tork settings
Autodata! Can find most online too
Ahhh🤯🤯❤️🔥❤️🔥
It's awesome, but why upbadge?
What do you mean upbadge?
The S4 badge on the grill
It's a genuine S4 grill that's why!
What are you riding bud? A damp track wouldn’t of helped either!
CBR600f4! The track wasn't really damp, we only got a slight mist of rain before that session! That was my first lap out on the 3rd session, so tyres were well cold and as you can see from the first corner I was having some stability issues with the bike too 🙄 my road bike that I had the last 2 times was much more stable after tip in!
@@brolyfe8018 bike is probably twitchy as your front forks are very high in the top yoke, if you drop the forks around 10-20 mil at a time you should notice a big difference. Obviously tyre pressures should be correct also at around 28-30 psi cold on a cut slick at front.
The front forks are dropped in the yolk 9mm over standard, I've gone through the suspension set up this evening and it was pretty far out way too much rebound on the front and rear and the front too stiff and rear too soft so hopefully that fixes it, it's all new to me as the rear is an ohlins ttx and front has some modifications including springs. My other bike has standard suspension and standard height and with the settings I did on that it is much more stable so I'm sure it will just take some tweaking 🤞🤞
@@brolyfe8018 yeah you’ll get it sorted pal, you’ll know if your springs are too soft/hard by checking static and rider sag.
For sure mate 🤙
☹️ 'Promo SM'
What's 'Promo SM' ?
Nice lap times mate think I seen a 1:10 there!
Thanks mate! Slowly improving! Got a new bike now , same carbie model cbr600f4 but set up for track so hopefully have that out on the 12th 😁
Get into the inters group mate you are way to fast for novice!
Great track
Brilliant! Great fun and well ran!
Just got a set of thses after burning through Supercorsa SC1 front and SC2 rear. Those scrubbed pretty cleanly, wondering how the S22's will hold up on the track
I can't fault them to be honest mate, they last very well and loads of grip for the 600! 30psi front and 26psi rear is bridgestones recommended cold pressures!
@@brolyfe8018 I've read a lot of good things about them and they should last longer than the Supercorsa ones, so we'll see, will fit them next week and hit the track right after. Thanks for giving me the tire pressures, didn't look those up just yet 💪
They'll not disappoint I think! No problem, Let me know how you find them! They'll happily go low enough to scrape the exhaust! What bike are you on?
@@brolyfe8018 wow, that low? That's quite the lean angle 😅 I'm riding a 2003 Yamaha R1, a bit old but a good bike, usually ride the intermediate group where I'm usually fast enough to be in the top 5 to top 10 fastest riders but not fast enough to go to the fastest group. Maybe if I upgrade to a more modern and powerful bike I can get some faster times
Yeah! Quite happily! Very nice bike, you might struggle with corner exit on the s22 with the 1000cc, will be interesting to see how they cope! Hard to beat the enjoyment to cost factor of the older bikes even though the newer ones may have a little more of an edge
Need chat to you in message or something, have you email I can get you on or whatsapp?
