This was what I was looking for. Searching for combination whirligig and peg gears. It looks greate. Must have been fun making. Do you have more pics or tips when doing it. What is the relation between pegs. 1:2? Using many gears does it need strong wind to work.

What size and length cylinder did you use for the lift?

I bought a house recently in upstate and a Fisher 76' Grandapa stove came with it. Throws a lot of heat, but still trying to get an all night burn. Any suggedtions?

Every thing about this install is wrong. First the base needs to be thicker, second if the stove is closer than 36 inches from the wall, it has to have a heat shield installed to protect the wall.

Ok so i had the same problem the spark got real weak so i bought a ricks stator ran the motor once the rod went out and when i took it aprt the magnets were broke had motor rebuilt BUT those flywheels are hard to come by so i bought new magnets off ebay and glued them in and now they dont fit im kinda fucked i dont know what hapoend i used c clamps so i cant imagine i used to much glue going to the motor shop tomorrow to see wtf

There are more people than you think that are building new houses with wood stove capabilities. We bought a farm with a couple beat to crap single wide trailers.... now we are setting it all up the way we want and a wood stove is in our future because you can't beat a wood stove when the power goes out.

I recently started my atc250sx after partial resto and it smoked and stank. I didn't touch the motor but I repainted the exhaust and had many other things apart and back together. It had been sitting for 6 months. It has a slight valve cover leak, which i"ll seal up soon. I rebuilt the carb and found the idle screw turned full in. It idles now and runs nice! I drained the oil to change it, at which time I found the drain plug to be stripped out, and the kick starter seems stuck. On the 2nd ride it finally settled down and I was happy with it. I kicked over the 350x this morning and it has lots of compression, not sure if the compression release is working or not. It is next on the list to be restored. I hope my 350x sounds as nice as yours.
