bashing with the losi buggy. I replaced rear tires with the proline badlands to see how it would perform then maybe later on i might put all 4 when i get some extenders.

Fun with traxxas xmaxx and losi dbxl 2.0 gas part 1
มุมมอง 2362 ปีที่แล้ว
just some fun bashing wildly with my xmaxx and losi dbxl 2.0 gas after work and my daughter was filming and accidentally stopped when i was going to switch over to losi so im making it 2 parts. i havent gone over my xmaxx but it has various aftermarket parts mainly from WFO RC racing, hot racing, raidendancing, and more...which i may go over in a diff video. im not an expert in rc nor have had ...

custom screen mesh on interior roll cage of losi dbxl 2.0 gas closer look.
มุมมอง 7562 ปีที่แล้ว
in here i show you guys the custom work i did on the roll cage of my losi dbxl 2.0 gas where i use some screen mesh as the material which i had a bit of laying around in my shed. its the same material used in lanais or pool cages in homes... the idea is to keep as much trash out of the inside of the car like rocks, dead grass, leaves, etc which can mess up the internals of the rc and to keep it...
Losi dbxl 2.0 gas ripping and bashing around
มุมมอง 9K2 ปีที่แล้ว
having some fun with my new favorite gas rc. towards the end of video something got stuck on the idler adjustment screw and spring part on the carburator and it was revving higher and i couldnt stop it just as you saw the kill switch worked via the control and i shut it off. thought it was something worse but it was fine. enjoy.
losi dbxl 2.0 gas with ddm dominator tuned pipe and kill switch
มุมมอง 6392 ปีที่แล้ว
so i was able to install the ddm dominator pipe which is meant for the 1st gen gas dbxl but also can work on the 2nd gen. shoutout to Chino for the idea on using one of the 2 provided brackets which holds the pipe pretty securely on there as well without drilling into chassis if your not wanting to do that and holding out for an update on other manufacturer tuned pipes to fit this particular ne...
Installing dynamite kill switch on new Losi dbxl 2.0 gas buggy
มุมมอง 1.6K2 ปีที่แล้ว
this is my way of installing the kill switch from dynamite on this new losi dbxl 2.0 gas buggy and theres various videos on TH-cam but none that show this particular shortcut per say if you dont want to remove the engine or other parts of the rc and it seemed to work. srry this isnt a step by step but more of an overview on what i did initially to make it work the rest of the steps just involve...

มุมมอง 8042 ปีที่แล้ว
just breaking in my new losi dbxl 2.0 and messing around in my backyard. srry about the video i dont have the right equipment and was just holding my phone and controller on the same hand...but the idea is to show ppl the new losi running around as there arent many videos out yet.
New Losi dbxl 2.0 gas buggy quick size comparison with other big scales.
มุมมอง 2.7K2 ปีที่แล้ว
just got my brand new losi dbxl 2.0 gas buggy rtr magnaflow theme and was comparing to my other 5th scales like the redcat chimera, traxxas xmaxx 8s, and arrma kraton 8s and a 1/8th typhon buggy.
You are running it very lean.
Will definitely go your route. Did you have to use a Y splitter to plug kill switch into the receiver? What port did you use? I am using the stock SR315. Thanks for the vid
I see a lot of videos but no one is talking about no spark after install
Nice !!! I been looking trying to see the difference in similar 1/5 trucks before ordering being they're so expensive .... I only wish you described the trucks you were showing . I know that one it's beside is a Redcat (being I was looking at those to) ...
Top máquina 🚙🔥💥👍🏻🤛🏼
This just saved me so much time! Thanks for the info.
U down in Palm Beach area
Nah im in lehigh acres
Gd vid man. Kill switch ftw. Thats why we need em on 1/5 scales. I got an rcmk xcr an absolutely love it. the bodystyle an everything is just sick
Thanks bud. And yea we do need the kill switches for sure. Nice i like the body style on the rcmk xcr too.
Did you have to pull the motor to install the kill switch?
No i found a way to install without doing so. Its in one of my videos not super detailed but it helps.
The DBXL is a awesome looking buggy, I just picked up the magna flow buggy myself...and can't wait to let it rip...
Thanks bud and yea glad you got one you will have fun with it for sure.
How much run time you getting on one tank of gas
Havent really looked at that but seems like more than 30mins
Where did you get the shock covers
I believe this is the link www.ddmracing.com/Outerwears-Shockwears-for-Losi-5ive-DBXL-MTXL-SM290T
This car is not tuned at all :(
Youre right on that. Srry havent had the time to do so. its only on its second fuel tank run so far...wish i had more time for my toys 🙁
@@rcalex3058 it can be tough to find the time for sure! I hope you're able to get it dialed in and really get to rip it
Nice 👍
Where did you get the filter cover? Have the same car back in the black scheme.
I got mines at davesmotors.com its the outerwears branded one
@@rcalex3058 cool thanks! Are you able to tell any difference with the pipe on?
@@rcalex3058 that link doesn’t work.
Srry heres the direct link to that specific filter www.davesmotors.com/outerwears-airfilter-pre-filter-baja-goped-losi and as for the pipe yea theres a difference on the low end mostly and some on mid. But i havent had to much time to tune mine still somewhat at the end of breakin it in. There arent many choices of pipes that fit this model currently so thats the best one that could be fitted and it looks pretty nice.
@@rcalex3058 thanks again!!!
Very nice!
Thank you. Appreciate your comment.
Please gear it higher so you can get the potential performance out of that engine and also put 10k spring on it with a fs clutch
Hello thanks for your comment. What gearing would you recommend? And why 10k spring vs 8k? Just curious as im a bit new to this.
@@rcalex3058 don’t raise the rpm. It can cause pre mature engine damage. I’d go with a clutch and getting to get more top end. It will make it slower on the take off but the top end will be nice. A spring is mainly useful for speed running and sand dune climbing that’s about it.
@@rcalex3058 Don't listen to the facts they are giving you. I run a 9500k DDM spring in my Losi 5t 2.0 and the benefit is the bottom end TQ. From a dead stop your stock spring engages at 8k so makes for a slow start if you up it to 9500 or 10k you will get much better low end TQ. Its a very simple thing to do for the performance you get and will make that 32cc engine come alive along with a tuned pipe which is a must have no doubt about it and possibly a lightend flywheel. For 10-15 bucks a clutch spring is a must just do it and it will make it 10x better. I also run a 22 pinion in my 5t seems it helps a little on the top end but the clutch spring is a must and its easy to do and tons of videos to show you how if you are confused
@@rcalex3058 Please for the love of god put a clutch spring in and invest in a great pipe and you will see a huge amount of potential come out of that motor. I run a victory pipe cost a decent amount but with a 2 stroke the pipe is a must have you literally need it I promise you and it sounds insane!!!
@@antilagboostaddiction8322 thanks for comment and yes i have all those in mind for future upgrades just been busy lately so it might be a bit. But thanks for your suggestions
Keep up the videos on the dbxl please
I definitely will. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Nice 👍
Thanks bud
That screen mesh looks good on it 👍🏽 Hope all is well with the DBXL it sounds like on that flip the throttle got stuck or something
Thank you buddy. Yea i want to avoid getting rocks and other trash inside although they still get in there but its less at least. And yea the remote kill switch got stuck on the throttle side where adjustment screw is so i just moved it around and zip tied it so it dont get stuck there again.
Can you please post some pics about how you have fixed the mesh. It's too good
Good job Just learned a new way 👍🏽
Yea buddy i figured i didnt want to take certain things apart on this new buggy with all the loctite from factory and it took me a bit to find this way but id figure id share for others who would like to try the same.
Looking good 👍🏽🔥
Just subscribed. I posted a video couple of days ago with the black ion one. Should be done a first run video and ripping it around this weekend.
Great and thank you for subscribing. Im working on mine right now with installing the kill switch and dominator pipe as ive had no time during week due to work. I want to have her ripping tomorrow as well and have fun.
@@rcalex3058 same here I normally work nights till early morning but the next couple of weeks switched to day shift and am doing 12 hrs days. Trying to find the time has been challenging.
@@lnskustoms6795 i hear ya man its similar for me i do 10 -13 hr shifts plus job is an hour away.. leave in the early morning to come back at night. But its what we gotta do to afford these nice toys and other stuff
All nice rc cars 👍
Jealous about this bad boy,,, now make a video in action!! Showus that thing rippingg..
Thank you. It is very nice. Will try and film this weekend.
How long of run on a tank of gas?
Not sure yet as i havent had much time running it due to work but seemed like around 45mins so far
Hell yea looking good 👍🏽🔥
Thanks man yea ive ran it across the street from my house where theres a big empty field and runs nice. Really happy with it. Will install dominator pipe today when i get home.
Sweet ! Mine should be here by weeks end.
Great you will enjoy it. Its a pretty sweet buggy rc.
I ran mine for the first time 2 days ago. It’s a beast. Just make sure you loctite those set screws on the drive train. I forgot and they backed right out when I was breaking in the engine. Fixed it, and it wants to jump.
Nice. Im uploading a video of me running it in my backyard a bit didnt have much time this weekend as it arrived a day late but it runs nice really loving it. Thanks for the tip will try and do that to those set screws soon. Im also waiting on the dominator pipe as there arent many options ready right now for this model.
@@rcalex3058 yeah, I am holding out for Losi to release a new pipe for this model. Fingers crossed. Specifically it’s the two set screws that connect the center diff dog bone and and the rear diff dog bone.
